pain neck treatment

About 3 or 4 days ago I started getting pain starting on both sides of my neck, starting at my jaw line. It radiates down and into my shoulders. It's a kind of burning pain. Don't take any medications. When it happens it lasts a few minutes then stops but usually starts again right away, then stops totally.

does anyone know about nerve burning for chronic pain? my pain dr recommends this for the herniated disk in my neck.. had cortisone shots and they helped.,i hesitate to try nerve burning because I know so little about this. help!

Have had neck pain after accident recent MRI C3-C4 minimal disc bulging,C4-C5 minimal disc bulging,mild bi-lat foraminal stenosis,C5-C6mild facet disease left greater than right,moderate left foraminal stenosis,C6-C7 minimal disc bulging,C7-T1 minimal disc bulging. im having neck pain...my arm hurts. and my hand is tingling. my neck hurts when i move it.... and it makes a cracking sound when try to move it. What is going on?

I am a 17 years old girl. four months ago i started experiencing neck pain that wouldnt go away. A g.p prescribed antibiotics for it, then muscle relaxants and then calcium and vitamin supplements but to no avail. note: ialso have tmj.My tmj only causes me to not be able to open my mouth completely. A jaw specialist recommended that i undergo orthodontic treatment for it. Now i've had braces for almost a year.

I have been having severe neck pain, numbness and tingling in hands, arms and legs, IBS, bowel discomfort, loss of vision in right eye, black spots in my left eye, sudden sharp pains to my head, trouble concentrating, irritability, and numbness in the right side of my face. Now two months later the cold/flu symptoms have subsided and I now just feel dizzy all the time and my neck has become abnormally heavy, making it hard to hold my head up. The neck pain is the worst of it, I am waking up in the night having panic attacks of some sort. I find that when the pain gets worse I go numb, mainly my head and arms. I am currently under a lot of strain from my university workload and my part-time job.

A van side swipped her mini-van and cause some severe neck damage. This damage cause constant pain in her neck, migrains, and some numbness. The treatment they prescribed was getting cold injections to the nerves in neck and head. She received three treatments over the past year with some short term relief of pain but always come back. Beside this treatment she been doing a routine of physiotherapy, deep tisse massage, water therapy with some relief but not enough.

So unable to reach my doctor I went to a chiroprator who actually took x-rays before he diagnosed and said I had nerve entrapment in c6. I have had one treatment but now I am in so much pain that I can not deal with it. My question or advice from you is what to do?

Typically only effects one side of the face. Treatment is difficult. Pain med. Anti-inflammatory. Soft foods, rest. Also drugs such as Tegretol (gradually increase of dosage, gradual pain relief) Gapepentin and other drugs typically prescribed. See a Neurologist. Feel Better!

A few months ago I twisted my neck and felt a pop. I had severe pain and had very little range of motion. The pain begins at the base of my skull on the left and right side. I thought the pain would resolve on its own but it hasn't. I have been to a chiropractor, but ended up gettting severe muscle spasms in my neck. I have been to a massage therapist many times, which helps temporarilly, but I cannot afford to go weekly to keep those going. Is there anything else I can do for my neck?

Can anyone give me any advice on what they do to combat neck pain. I'm in agony with it and have been given no pain relief from my doctor.

Without medication pain level is above 10, after medication pain level is 9. My pain is so severe that it appears to lock the turning of my neck to the right. I am asking for any help regarding if there is exercises for this type of problem. My mornings after waking are the worse for me. I have been sleeping with 2 pillows under my legs, flat on my back, and 1 pillow under my head but this doesn't seem to be helping either. Is there any help for me?

all I had was phone call abour MRI results. Yes I do get problems other than neck pain but do not know what pressure on nerves can cause other than pain!! Am I right in thinking that LYME can cause the arthritis? What causes the extremely stiff neck that some Lyme patients experience at on set. I presume it is muscle tension-I guess unrelenting tension in neck/shoulder area can start to impact on the skeleton by pulling etc; I haven't ruled out Lyme.
