Avatar n tn Since the surgery the neck pain and shoulder blade pain has been considerably better. Unless you have any recent injuries to the area it might be a good idea to consult author Pete especially store a chiropractor to see if there are any structural causes for your muscular pain.
Avatar f tn In the beginning, the left side of my neck would hurt from my shoulder blade on up to my neck. Now my left shoulder around the rotator cuff hurts. I can lay on my back as the pressure of my bed against my shoulder blade just makes everything ache more. My neck has calmed down and no longer hurts due to this just that darn shoulder blade and around that area and my left shoulder. I'm not much of one to go to drs and I've tried researching this on my own.
Avatar n tn The thing I can not understand is I have little to no pain in my neck. I do however have tremendous pain in my right shoulder blade and down my right arm into my hand. This has been going on for about 3 months and when I cough I have sharp pain in my shouder blade. Is this a normal sensation for a compressed nerve?
Avatar n tn Since I had my son, I have had several episodes where I will get bad headaches for a couple of days. Then my shoulder, around my shoulder blade, will start hurting really bad. I have had a clicking sound in my shoulder blade since I can remember. When these episodes happen, I can look in the mirror and see my neck is crooked, it leans toward my right shoulder. My left shoulder is always about an inch higher than my right, even when I am not in pain.
Avatar n tn Went to phisio, which helped with the initial horrible pain, but now I still have shoulder and upper shoulder blade pain, and also neck pain, occasionally along with it.There are times when the pain is still felt in my chest as well, although numerous trips to the hospital has assured me that mu heart is fine.(still a very scary feeling!)I also occasionally have a numbness in my left arm. Please help with suggestions!!! I've had an MRI done on my neck, and that was fine too.
Avatar m tn I have the same pain in the same area. I have disc herniations in my neck that cause the shoulder blade pain as well as the radiation to the left arm. I would be shocked if the Dr's never considered this as the cause of your pain. Just a suggestion and would be worth asking your doc about it. Hope you figure it all out. Good luck!

Avatar f tn It's possible I guess, but I've never heard of a link between Graves and shoulder blade pain, I was diagnosed with it in 2001.I have heard there's a link between Graves, RA and joint pain. They can test for RA. I had severe chest pain prior to being diagnosed with Graves, but that was from my heart beating too fast. I have severe burning in left shoulder blade too, but I'm almost positive it's related to my neck and upper back problems.
Avatar f tn I am having bad pain in my left shoulder blade, muscle spams, very tight, burning, burning to my neck, can't breath deep, pushed to my heart. The doctors are dismissing what's going on and not sending me for further test. I have been suffering for a while and can't live with this pain anymore. Could you please recommend what other test I can do for my shoulder blade neck area? Thankyou so much.
Avatar f tn Since your disc problem's in the neck, that's probably the source of your shoulder blade pain, you're lucky you can get rid of yours. Most of us that have neck problems have suffered from this at one time or another. Doing things with my arms liked you described aggravates my pain too. I agree that subluxtions do cause problems, but Chiropractors think everything is related to improper alignment, and its not.
Avatar m tn t turn my head at all without feeling acute pain. During that time, I also realised (painless) swelling on the side of my neck that was twisted, and the shoulder on the same side also sagged below the opposite shoulder. Although I've since recovered, sometimes when I do exercises that involve shoulder and neck movement, the injury comes back. There's pain in the exact same spot and my shoulder starts to sag.
Avatar n tn Told me to stop worrying and give it time.I also have short stabbing pain in my spine from under the shoulder blade to top of neck. This comes and goes. I have been kind of stressed out the last couple of months. Should also add that I feel great in myself apart from this horrible pain. It is now aching across the very top of my shoulders on both sides as I am writing this on the computer. Please someone give me an answer. Im really worried.
Avatar f tn I am experiencing a funny achey back pain next to my left shoulder blade in the middle of my back. Is this familiar to anyone? Just started a few days ago, doesn't seem to want to go away. Thanks Chatter Haven't been on in awhile.
Avatar n tn Pain around my bottom of shoulder blade for over 6 months. Stiff upon waking up, some days it goes away but most days it stays. Sitting up, without back support, can be a pain. Laying down or laying propped up, hurts. Let me give an example: I can be propped up, reading a book, holding a book in my left hand, puts me in so much pain in this area. When I turn my back from side to side, it hurts. I do get a lot of muscle strains in this area as well. The pain is always there.
Avatar n tn Hello- I've been having a nagging pain in my neck and shoulder blade( mostly on the left shoulder blade) for several months now. I have always thought it is either my mattress or pillow that's causing it and have changed several to no sucess. I went to a orthopedician last year and he made me do a bunch of hand/leg movements and also took xrays, which were all normal. He suggested I get an MRI (which I didnt get, since I wasnt very happy with the doctor).
Avatar n tn I'm not sure if I have a pinched nerve - I have pain in my right shoulder/shoulder blade and a numbness/tingling/burning sensation from my shoulder to mid between my elbow and wrist........ Your thoughts?

Avatar f tn That night I felt most of the pain in the entire right side of my face, neck, and shoulder blade area. All of the muscles in my back on the right side started swelling and spasming. I ended up going to the hospital that night but before I left my girlfriend saw that my right shoulder blade was "out of place" being way to close to my rib cage and as she gently pushed it back I felt a wave of relief (or pleasure?) before it would start moving out of place again.
Avatar n tn Sorry for the long title however, I am having pain that I feel orginates in the right shoulder blade, feels like a horrible spasms that goes up to the neck, to the shoulder joint and to the back of the rib. I have been treated by a chiropractor and his latest concern is that is not getting better. I told him that I had quite a few xrays over the past 7 years cause I have had this pain and it is not getting better. It also seems to get worse with my hormonal changes. I am 45 years old.
Avatar m tn Hi.. I have neck/shoulder pain on my left side.. The pain becomes more when I push my chin on to my neck.. I have had several tests done, including several tests check if he heart is causing th pain - with doctors ruling out that being the cause.. Inhale also had CT and MRI scans done, with no cashed found by specialist doctors.. I am still left with no answers.. I have now had the pain for over 2 years.. The pain still continues..
Avatar n tn My specialist advised that my neck pain is caused by arthritis (i am 28) brought on by years of sitting at a computer and the shoulder blade pain from a damaged ligament and has recommended exercise for my neck and a cortisone injection for my shoulder blade. Is there anyone that can offer an opinion about what it wrong, if the two problems are connected to one another and how to go about easing the pain? I have has Chiro, PT treatment and acupuncture in the past which has not really helped.
