I noticed mild breast pain yesterday but didn’t feel my breast heavy, I usually get tender breast before my period so It didn’t concern me that my left breast felt in pain. Until today when it was in more pain, I decided to go to urgent care, and dr told me I have an infection. She told me she was concerned because I’ve never been pregnant and I’m not breastfeeding. She says it concerns her that I developed an infection, she will send me to get a mammogram and an ultrasound.
I have had a pretty bad pain in my left breast, slong the outside and the bottom along my ribs for 3 months now. Prior to this, I had bronchitis for a while. My cough finally subsided about 2 weeks ago, but the pain is worse. It goes to my back at times, and my left side has now noticably larger then my right.

If you haven’t noticed any abnormal features on breast self-examination like a breast lump, nipple discharge or skin changes, I would doubt that the pain you are describing is associated to breast cancer. The pain in your breast could be due to many benign causes like injury to the breast tissue, a pulled muscle, a pinched nerve, Costochondritis which is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone and it could also be caused by an improper posture.
My doctor gave me a breast exam Feb 2008, which was negative. I am 66 years and a female.
My psychiatrist started me on Celexa 3 weeks after my breast exam in Feb 2008.
The past few weeks I've had a pain in my left breast when I bend over. The pain is located on the right lower side. I also feel a thickening of the tissue there. There are no lumps or anything under my arm pits or the outer side of the breasts. The nipples and tissue around are normal, no dimples.
Breast discomfort is rarely associated with breast cancer but can be due to many causes. I don't know of any breast concern that has anything to do with the size of your breast ... large or small. My best advice would be to see a Dr. for a clinical breast exam and perhaps some type of imagery (Ultrasound or Mammogram) to determine the cause of this discomfort.

I'm at high risk for breast cancer and for about a month, I've been experiencing a strange "tingling" in the upper, outer area of my left breast. It's not constant, nor is it painful in any way. There are no lumps I can feel, yet this strange feeling (almost like a "let-down" when nursing) certainly catches my attention when it happens. I can't seem to correlate it to any specific time or movement. My next mammo is scheduled for May.

What other symptoms are present? How was your mammogram result? Burning sensation in the breast could be due to a variety of issues such as hormonal changes, neurological conditions, infection or inflammation. If there is a family history of breast cancer, it is best that you have this checked for proper evaluation. Regular self breast examination is highly recommended. Take care and do keep us posted.
This is my first post and I am writing with alot of concern. My issue started 2 weeks ago when I had severe pain in left arm and breast, mostly in the chest bone. It was extremely painful and I had to visit ER. Doctor said I am having muscular pain and it should get better with rest and medication. It got better for sometime but started again. Now the situation is that one day I have pain in my arm, neck, upper back, shoulder and breast on the right side and next day on the left side.
Its no continuos and can say majorly reoccurs in the evenings only. I get the pain on the left side of my left breast and also the top portion. No pains in the nipple. Its kind of a pinching pain deep inside. I havent taken any doctor appointment yet. Just found this link and thought will message here for some answers and if any have relief from this. I am 28. And my left breast is also a bit bigger (larger compared to the right one... I can easily see the difference.. Is it normal?
