Avatar n tn I had breast impants and lift 3 weeks ago, had a hematoma in my left breast the very same day and had to have a second surgery on that breast, that night. For the past 2 days, I've been experiencing tenderness to touch and pain in the left breast...what could this mean? There is no swelling, no bruising. I still have steritapes on my breasts- to be removed tomorrow. Does it sound like it's going to be O.K?
Avatar n tn I'm wondering if any of these could bring on breast pain. I lift weights, lift two toddlers, am breastfeeding an almost 2 yr old, i had cut back for a week to once a day but now back to three times a day. I also have 2 vertebrae that are too close to a couple discs (in my neck) & they cause shoulder pain on the left, which is the side that I have breast pain on. Its also been 2 weeks since my period, but wouldn't that cause pain in both breasts not just one?
Avatar f tn Im 7 wks pregnant and starting about 2 days ago I've had this awful pain on the bottom of my right breast. I get the pain when I lift my arm or touch the bottom of my breast in a certain spot.
Avatar n tn Hi I don't think that the pain in your breast, has anything to do with breast cancer. This could be related to the hormonal fluctuation with respect to your menstrual cycle. When you do your SBE (Self Breast Exam) and you don't notice anything abnormal like a breast lump, skin changes or nipple discharge, etc...then pain in one or both breasts can be due to many benign causes,(including pregnancy) and it's almost never associated with breast cancer.
Avatar n tn I have seen a number of people with chronic facial pain following face lift . this can be due to a peripheral cutaneous nerve injury at the site of the scar. ie injecting the scars temporary abolishes the pain. this is often missed, ascribed to chronic migraine, misdiagnosed as trigeminal neuralgia etc. Whats important is that there are unique treatments for nerve pain such as gabapentin (and others).
1510919 tn?1298828667 i constantly have this agonizing pain under my left breast. like sharp stabbing no matter how i sit stand or lay it doesn't help. Avatar f tn Now, under my arm on the side of the radiation treatments there is pain. It is very mild pain but hurts more if I lift my arm. It has been 2 years out from my last radiation treatment. I was toldit may be scar tissue from radiation. Is this possible and will it ever go away? Thanks for any input.

Avatar n tn I' ve been thinking about getting breast reduction or lift or implants. So maybe wearing a bra wont be so painful? I also want to have kids, but will that make it worse?? I hope someone out there can help me.
Avatar n tn I did very well after the mastectomy. However, ever since the reconstruction I have had chronic daily pain in one breast and shoulder. Physical therapy helped after I reached the point of not being able to lift my arm. I now have full range of motion. But I still have trouble driving with that arm and lifting due to aggravation of the pain in my breast. I have been told one of the nerves has been stretched. Is there anything I can do about it?
Avatar f tn Hello I'm 24 years old and I've been having pain in mainly my left breast but sometimes in both And it can go to my arm or neck I have really bad anxiety and going thru a lot right now was wondering if that could be in any ideas on wht it could be some people are saying it could be a pulled muscle I do have a job where I lift a very heavy boy please comment thank you
Avatar n tn Depending on how intense the episode was, it can take anywhere from 5-10 seconds for the pain to subside and disappear completely. The pain happens when I lift my arm into certain positions (i.e., overhead presses especially when my arm lifts next to my head or behind my head). I am no longer able to put a bar behind my neck and grip it from behind. The motion of bringing my arm up and back to grasp the bar is excrutiating.
Avatar n tn I have checked for lumps and found nothing abnormal, however, the pain is always there and it is now developing into a 'crunching' pain, which is made worse when i move quickly, lift up my arm, turn my body or even my head, i've tried rotating my arm from the shoulder joint but it doesn't alleviate the constant ache and often just sends a shrp jolt of pain into the breast.
Avatar f tn Benign results thank God, no atypical cells either, and I was pleased that compared to the other biopsies I have had in the past (MRI guided, CORE needle, Sterotactic, and Surgical) it seemed to not hurt all that bad. Now 12 days later I have my period and the pain in that breast is killing me, also under my arm a little, I think. Maybe because I lift a 25 pound baby all day it has something to do with it! But how come as soon as my period started, it started to kill?
Avatar f tn my family dr recently put me on Lyrica, has helped some of the pain but not the breast pain, had a mamo today and have to wait for up to a week for diagnoses, The pain is so bad at times I scream and can't move, seems to start in the center of my left breast and radiate all over, I am post meno by 17 years by surgery and I am 51 now, I hope you found a resolution to your pain, Please if so let me know, Hugs from WV
Avatar f tn at times this same pain goes down to the hip and leg. this pain is on the same side as the breast surgery (left). please explain what could the cause this pain? i take anti-inflammatory tabs and pain killers but does not relief the pain or if it does then it is only temporary till the tabs wear off. i feel i cannot take so may pain killers as it affects my stomach as well.
Avatar n tn Just before new years, I developed extreme pain in the same breast. Not in the surgical area, but on top of my breast and under it. I went to emerg. and was told mastitis. I took 3 wks. heavy antibiotics. Did not improve. Had celebrex (anti-Inflam.), no improvement. The breast is reddish, swollen, hot to touch and has ridges as well as little dots like an orange. Dr. did skin biopsy. Came back showing no infection but inflammatory cells. Was told this could move into cancer. Sent to see rad.
Avatar n tn This could be due to a dilated or irregular milk duct, an injury to the breast (such as a cut or bite), or less commonly due to breast cancer. Breast pain is a common breast symptom. The reason for breast pain is not clearly understood, and is not usually associated with breast cancer. Breast pain is sometimes associated with hormonal variations and is then called cyclical breast pain.

Avatar f tn From December 2010 I helped to lift a heavy sewing maching down 2 flights of stairs and since then I have experienced very serious pains and at times numbness from my right shoulder down into my hand and into my breast. The pain in my shoulder and hand has since stopped but that in my breast is still there and is very uncomfortable and extends to my underarm. I am very concerned, please help.
Avatar m tn Hello! This is relative to a breast matter, but I trust you are qualified to help! For the past few days I've had a pain in my right armpit and I just found a deep pebble-sized bump which hurts a bit and seems to be movable. (I had to lift my arm over my head to find it.) Sometimes the slight pain radiates to my shoulder and wrist, causing a "numb" feeling or dull pain. Initially I thought this was related to weight-lifting. I am a thin adult female, active.
Avatar f tn Since last two months i have pain right below and behind my right breast, it never goes even with a gel or pain killer. It comes with coughing and sneezing or in certain lying postures or when i lift some weight. i cant figure out whether its a breast related problem or ribs? my gp has refered me to a breast clinic and chest x-ray. which one should i go for? my breasts are normal. 30 years old, married, 2 kids.
Avatar m tn If I lift my breast, the pain eases. I am due to start my period in about two weeks, and I don't believe I'm pregnant, and this is not a typical sign of PMS for me. Any suggestions on what could be happening?
