Avatar f tn Do you have a pacemaker? The best is to check with your doctor or pacemaker technician. I don't know what can it cause the heart functioning abnormality if you have the inverted T waves? Anyone knows? It also depends if you're a pacemaker dependent or not. I'm not a pacemaker depend. I go well with the equipment which marks "Pacemaker user caution". If I found my heart beats abnormally, then I stop using it and try again after the heart settle.
Avatar f tn t say it is MS or not, and had no ideas. Said I needed another MRI but could not have one due to my pacemaker. My partner called Vanderbilt and the lady who makes appointments was not nice and was no help. Don't know what to do, I want to cry. Maybe Jewish Hosp in St. Louis?

Avatar m tn This suggests that the primary (atrial) pacemaker is not functioning, and the back-up pacemaker in the ventricles is determining the low heart rate. This is likely, but ocasionally the atria also responds in this manner. Talk to your cardiologist.
Avatar n tn After Pacemaker Surger my ECG test came back abnormal. Is it normal for them to come back with Right Bundle Branch Block and T Wave Abnormality, consider Laterial Ischemia? And what does this mean? This discussion is related to lateral ischemia.
1331422 tn?1326566597 I haven`t had an ablation, but during my hospital stay I met people who did and I remember that they all said it takes some time (days or weeks) to see the true result of the ablation. Sometimes the ablation doesn`t relieve all the symptoms, but still helps a great deal... Don`t be worried just yet, try to stay patient and positive.
Avatar m tn But even with the pacemaker and oxygen, she is only able to move around the house a small amount. I am wondering how much less she will be able to do once the battery ceases to function. Will she still be able to move about the house or will she be more tired than she is already?

Avatar n tn and should i be concerned about his head circumference as when he was born it was on the 50th centile and now it is on the 0.4 centile. Avatar m tn metoprolol is a beta blocker class of medication which works by limiting the activity of the heart muscle. There are beta receptors on your heart which react to stimulants such as Adrenaline, telling the heart to speed up. This medication (depending on dosage for effect) decreases the ability of those receptors. So if you are on beta blockers and a Lion jumped into the room, my heart would get to racing pace quicker than yours.
1867019 tn?1353467540 I have a low heart rate...while at my dr's visit today I had a heart rate of 44. The nurses kinda freaked out. I haven't been feeling well for months now and I'm sure it's because of my heart rate. The doctor checked my heart rate and my pulse and they don't match. He is referring me to a cardiologist. I'm only 33 years young and the thought of a pacemaker when he mentioned it scared me. I'm a fairly active person.
Avatar f tn She had irregular heart beats since utero, but went undiagnosed for 2 years. At 3, she had a pacemaker put in for a 2nd degree heart block. Now, at 7 years old and only 38lbs, she is having bouts of 180-200bpm, at resting rate. Pacemaker has been recording these bouts for 4 years now. Nurse explained to me that her pacemaker is constantly kicking in when it shouldn't be (70-100bpm), even though it's set at 60bpm.
