We are trying to figure out if we should go direclty to the insertion of a pacemaker vs. an ablasion procedure. Since ablasion procedure may need to be repeated and flecainide (drug after ablasion) is questionable, should we just go directly to the pacemaker?

Here's the next update - DJ is doing very well in Pennsylvania. tonight she sounded the best I have ever heard her be - she says it is because her stress is gone. There are all sorts of social services agencies organzied for her, including housekeeping, nursing visits and personal care aids. She said her whole week was filled with all these people coming and going. She is meeting people in her building - which is lifting her spirits, too.

It appears that one has broken another vertabrae and most recently bladder spasms actually expelled her catheter, prompting her doctor to make a rare housecall for emergency actions. DJ is in a serious medical crisis and currently in ICU. She has been there since Tuesday and I have been waiting to know more before telling you this news. You probably remember that she recently had her morphine pump exchanged for a different unit. Unknown to the surgeon, she has an extensive abdominal and bladder infection.

I’ve had A Fib since 9/11/02 3 years ago I had a pacemaker installed and was to receive ablation but suffered a heart attack and had to have 6 bypasses. Hey everyone - here's the news. DJ and her daughter Lori are on a United flight out of LAX Saturday morning, 10:30ish. It is a direct flight to PA, so no layovers. Please keep a positive thought, say a prayer, spin around three times and spit - whatever it is you do! LOL - that they have a safe journey and encounter kind, compassionate workers at LAX, in the security line, on the flight and arrive intact and in good spirits in Pennsylvania.

DJ continues to be a guest of the hospital in Arcadia. They removed the intrathecal morphine pump last week. The spot where the lines went into her spine continue to leak spinal fluid, so they are going to do a blood patch on Monday. Here's hoping it helps. They have not yet found a way to handle her pain that she gets from the extreme spasms she experiences, and she is relying on the oral morphine to take the edge off. The movers come Monday morning for her household goods.

I am so glad you were able to make it over to see DJ. What a special day you both must have had. DJ looks like she is feeling better and G-d willing this new neuro will be able to help her with the pain. I hope DJ will tell us about her experience with the sitting MRI. I've heard of it before but don't know a single person who has done it yet. Sounds better than lying down. She'll do great. Love to you both.

Ive never been to a baby shower with a dj either lol. Ive had two babyshowers now and been to several.

s mama is her lifeline in so many ways, and lives in the same building and helps with the daily tasks that would be impossible for DJ to do on her own. They truly are partners, and DJ constantly tells me how important her mama is to her. The fear of losing her, on so many levels, is truly difficulty to begin to understand unless you were in DJ's position. Getting to the hospital is difficult, because DJ uses her motorized wheelchair to get around town.

Hope things go well DJ. Will offer up some healing prayers tonight and tomorrow also, that all goes well.
