Avatar f tn stay away from white pasta and bread, stick to multi grain and or rice pasta. workout at least 3 times a week, make sure your workout includes both cardiovascular exercises as well as some strength training such as lifting weights to help tone and trim so that as the weight is being dropped every thing is also being lifted into place. Try out p90x ! that's what I do, it's a hard work out but it works .
Avatar f tn I have continued my normal workout routine so far at 28 weeks. I had no nausea or fatigue, so have been able to continue as normal. My doc told me exercise as tolerated, modify T make things more comfortable as required. I usually workout 5 days/week. Something different everyday. Typical week is one day of each of the following: yoga, running, T 25 or easier insanity video, hike, elliptical/weights/gym workout.
Avatar m tn They did have an erg which I liked. Anyway, I ended up trying the P90X workout for 90 days and it was awesome. The workouts las about an hour with 10 minute warmup and 6 to 7 cool downs and are very diverse in nature which is by design. All you need is a few dumbells and if you can a pull up bar. The workout DVD's cost about $120 and I was unsure of it when I looked into it. But having been able to try it out first. Best value ever.
1253186 tn?1304783542 I have done P90X - it is very well done, but also very time consuming - up to 1.5 hours a day. I felt that it was pretty easy to stick with for the first month, but then the videos became a bit repetitive. All in all, a great program though if you have the time. It does require a pull-up bar and some weights. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I start PT next week, hoping, I can get some muscle strength back before I go to work and so I can ease back into my workout routines, starting with P90X and hoping to get back into jiu-jitsu at some point within the next year.
Avatar n tn t really shown any signs of anything except of a few body aches but im also doing the P90x workout so i think that is where that is coming from....but still i am freaking out and im so worried i have something but i dont want to go get tested yet cause i dont want to get a false reading cause of it being to soon....
Avatar f tn At the first if January I weighted in at 144, I started p90x. I worked out in front of him and on day 4 he did a workout with me it was Really fun. He didn't do anything the next two days but I didn't ask him or talk about it to him. And today day 7 he came home and asked me if WE was going to workout today. I just responded yes we r. And if he doesn't I am not going to say anything I am still going to do my workout bc if he wants it he need to do it himself.
Avatar f tn Yeah that sounds like a good idea. I should have gotton a physical before starting this new workout. I'm very sad to say that I'm 200lbs and haven't worked out in years. I'm doing the P90X now and it's deffinatly a workout that's intense. It's just a very big concern to me that why I do any type of cardio or weight lifting it doesn't bother me but when I start doing push ups or pull ups it kills!!
1430240 tn?1290434023 is this true? because i have that p90x disc set..and theres a yoga and pilates that i was going to do..
Avatar n tn I know when i was doing the workout out program p90x my body was looking ok and i was 157 i was gaining muscle so i guess thats the key everyone says i still look good but i wear mens pants i went from a size almost 32 to a size 36ish comfortably i can squeeze into 34. But i notice my lower stomach the skin is not tight as it was when working out. So try the whole muscle training thing its tough but give its try at this point anythings worth trying right.
1134902 tn?1296066144 On september 28th I started a intenses workout program...P90X, which is 60 minutes of strenuous excersise 6 days a week. I gained 10 lbs with no change in measurements, but my muscles are pretty big now. However after starting the program my cycles changed. sept to oct cycle was 26 days, oct to nov cycle was 25 days and the I spotted after every workout and some mornings for the week ovulation was possible to occur. My November to december cycle then lasted 32 days.
Avatar f tn I use a USB cable. It downloads as a .xls file.
1416560 tn?1304876070 I recently got p90x. I am excited to use it! Has anyone else done it and how did you find it? What were your results?
4437866 tn?1388119624 It's a 60 day high intensity workout. I have the dvds and I did it before with great results. I started it again but then I got preggo so I had to stop. It's a great workout!
Avatar m tn My question is, how do I gradually get back into the swing of dieting and exercise without killing myself? Thanks for listening. Also I have been thinking of doing the workout program, P90X, any good or bad news about it?
Avatar m tn I take thyroxine for an underactive thyroid, only 25 micrograms, the least you can take.
Avatar m tn Ran my 6 miles Monday afternoon and P90X that evening. Hour of cardio yesterday and today + my P90X shoulders and arms later today. It's not as intense as it was but I've been laying low for 3 weeks so that's to be expected. But I'm happy to say it's not too far off! No weight gain either which is nice.
Avatar f tn After my second I started taking her for walks when she was only 5 days old. I was doing p90x around 4 or 5 weeks so that was way more than my dr wanted to see. For me and I think with any exercise program you should take cues from your body. Take it slow and don't push it. You need to ease back into a routine. I started with walking and worked my way up to heavy exercise. I did have to cut back because it was lowering my milk supply.
1976294 tn?1326062080 Im 19 years old, 5'2" and 108 pounds. I work out at least 5 days a week and am a vegan so i don't eat any junk food and very little processed foods. i take a multivitamin everyday and am considered extremely healthy. So i was extremely startled when during the warm up for a cardio video i got a really bad deep chest pain directly in the middle of my chest. i couldn't finish the workout and couldn't breathe. I had to sit down and slowly breathe.
Avatar f tn So Im 22, weigh 150lbs & am 5'3 in height. Ive been working out everyday for the past month & a half. Ive heard a lot of people say that you shouldn't workout EVERYDAY..is this true? Does it really matter? Since i've started working out, i cant go a day without exercising, i start to go a little crazy. I do insanity and have started lifting a bit too (only 10lb weights) but i cant seem to lose my "baby belly". Is there anything i can do to help lose my tummy?
Avatar f tn s mild (like walking or gentle yoga). Does anyone have experience with more vigorous exercise? Nothing crazy (no p90X or anything), but something that does elevate the heart rate a little bit? I'm not very in shape right now, but I know that improving, or at least maintaining my current level of fitness will be beneficial for me and baby. I'm really early in (4 weeks, 5 days) and I'd like to do some strength training, like using kettlebells. Thanks!!
Avatar f tn Suzanne Bowen slim and toned barre maternity workout dvd is pretty good. It really gives you a good burn in the buns and thighs. Also has a good arm workout. I bought mine off amazon. I did p90x pre-pregnancy. I will probably continue to use the Suzanne Bowen dvd after birth as well.
Avatar m tn t do it regularly, try to at least go for a jog around your block once or twice a week or do workout videos (like the well-known P90X videos) that are quick to whip you into shape at home. As for meal plans, combining complex carbs and protein is your best bet for gaining muscle.
