Avatar m tn They did have an erg which I liked. Anyway, I ended up trying the P90X workout for 90 days and it was awesome. The workouts las about an hour with 10 minute warmup and 6 to 7 cool downs and are very diverse in nature which is by design. All you need is a few dumbells and if you can a pull up bar. The workout DVD's cost about $120 and I was unsure of it when I looked into it. But having been able to try it out first. Best value ever.

Avatar f tn My has been doing it for about 4 yrs now. Shes a 125 lbs soaking wet muscle. Every time she goes through it, which is pretty much back to back, she is sore but its because she is able too and does more. The program really works. Anyone in the military with a good PT program can attest to this cause it the proper way its to do be done anyway. Every unit I was in, maybe I was lucky, we had a group that focused on muscle confusion and intense work outs.
Avatar m tn So excited because I did p90x for 30days without skipping any days and I was staying in my calorie range, and I only lost 2lbs and I gained a body fat percentage. I was not watching my carbs. Now that I am, I have felt better and am finally dropping pounds. Hope this helps! Oh another tip... when you eat a carb (yes fruits are carbs) eat it with a protein. An apple with a cheese stick or peanut butter. Find KIND bars at walmart.

Yoga will help you build core strength and improve your flexibility (and can really make you sweat!), whereas plyometrics is a bit higher impact, and involves taking steps, doing lunges, and even jumping around. Both are a lot of fun and are available in exercise DVD's that you can find online. Take care!

After my first week I lost 5 pounds and 2 inches on my waist. Teach Beachbody provides coaches and mine organized a FatZap group for three weeks. They teach us about proper foods to eat and give us challenges. Honestly I have been trying for 5 years to lose weight and this is the first thing that has worked.

I do have a belly on me, so I was wondeirng if anyone had any preference on to which program would work the best to help tone and flatten my stomach along with losing weight/dropping pant sizes.

Avatar m tn There is a program that at least 5 people purchased after my advice. I saw an infomercial on P90X (www.p90x.com) and went ahead and bought the program. As a Field Judge for college football I'm required to be in top-notch shape. I tried this P90X and it did wonders for me and I look better than I did when I lifted. BTW - I'm NOT a salesperson for that program. I just swear by it now. So something to consider!

Avatar n tn I work out everyday for a minumum of 1 hour, usually 2. I do the P90X and P90x plus daily. My weight is 190 pounds and my body fat is about 10.5%. Question: About 3 weeks ago I started having some pain when staightening my left leg after my left knee had been bent. It got a little better then the knee started popping or catching with lateral movement. No pain with the popping, but it really feels odd. The pain in the knee from staightening it out has returned.

I know that it takes at least a year to get "normal" again within your body (heart,lungs, etc). When I quit the last time, I was determined to quit and loose much needed weight (199 lbs...and I was horrified on my 5'4 frame).
Avatar n tn I know when i was doing the workout out program p90x my body was looking ok and i was 157 i was gaining muscle so i guess thats the key everyone says i still look good but i wear mens pants i went from a size almost 32 to a size 36ish comfortably i can squeeze into 34. But i notice my lower stomach the skin is not tight as it was when working out. So try the whole muscle training thing its tough but give its try at this point anythings worth trying right.

Avatar m tn The key to weight loss is to take in fewer calories than you burn. If you are burning that many calories, the thing to analyze next is what of the food you eat (and liquids you drink) have a lot of calories in them, especially if they are empty calories. A prime culprit for some people is soda (Coke, Sprite, etc.) and other drinks. The body takes them in and feels the calories in terms of weight, but even though it does, the person does not get less hungry after drinking them.

Avatar f tn Don't know never tried them but I definitely have mine packed in my hospital bag and can't wait to try them! I've used wraps before and other binding things and I've always liked them and felt they held me together after I had my first daughter I felt like my belly was going to fall on the floor so I want to feel held together!

Avatar f tn Every once and a while (maybe once a month, maybe more...) I'll need to throw up the meals I've eaten that day. Its not a nauseous feeling, just something telling me I need to go throw up. Its usually in the afternnon or evening, and it's like I didn't digest anything for the day. ALL of the food I've eatin that day comes out the same way it went in. It's almost never broken down and this is HOURS after I've eaten it.

Avatar f tn Wow breee08, I'm glad.you were able to loose it all. I never got back down to my pre pregnancy weight after my 1st but I think in part it's because I was under weight to start with. Needless to say I got some work to do after this baby gets here!!
Avatar f tn I am 16 and recently started exercising with my volleyball team. We have been doing P90X, weights, pull-ups, abs, and lots of running. However, lately I've been having lower stomach pains. I feel that maybe I'm hungry, but the pain is still there. I've also noticed I'm not eating as much, but maybe that has to deal with the exercise? I'm not quite sure if this is normal, but I wanted to see anyways.
Avatar f tn Yes very thing is possible nothing is impossible. All you need to do st to ur diet. At least run one mile a day. And try to track whatever u eat. Do p90x everyday you can't skip any day it's required.
