Whey you are talking about getting off blues and that you are using xanax bars to do that do you mean blues as in opiates im assuming???? I have detoxed from both and im currently detoxing off of methadone and klonopin and for me it has always been a lot harder to get off the opiates than the benzo's. How many benzo's are you taking you said the bars, the 2mg xanax, which are pretty strong. How many are you taking a day, and how long have you been taking them???

It remeinded me of that commercial where the mother starts to ask her son if he had ever tried (she mentioned about 50 names) and she was going faster and faster..skittles,mars bars (xanax) whipps,oranges..robotrip.. The only real lingo that I had was for pot..and then the dealer that i got my extra's from sold "sets"... How are you tonight ? Within two years I was up to 360 30mg ocodone and 60 60 mg oxycontin a month not to mention soma and 3 xanax bars a day. I never filled the xanax or the soma due to the fact that I had already realized what a monster the pain meds had become (thank god). I had spoken to the dr. about quitting and he had suggested suboxone "maintenance". After reading about that and the hell people were going through that wasn't an option. So my only option was to do it on my own.

Please help I got on methadone 4 years ago due to oxycontin and hydrocodone addiction that had been going on for 6 years......I was up close to 100mgs and have weaned down to 60mgs of methadone. I want off so bad and to top it off I have severe panic attacks and never dealt with my underlying issues regarding the addiction so I started abusing the xanax my Psychiatrist gave me.

I have been using narcotic painkillers off and on since about 12th grade. (I am now 22). I was clean from Feb 2005- August 2006. In the past 6 months I have been taking about 5-6 10mg percocets everyday. Within the past month I have been either doing that or snorting ATLEAST 1 80mg oxycontin a day. My friends finally found out about my "double life" and this gave me a strong incentive to quit. I havent touched any opiates in about 48 hours...

ive been taking up to 2 xanax bars & 3-6 loritabs 7.5 a day for the past 3 years, & i'm despritley trying to ween myself off of them. but whenever i come down off of them i get horrible headache & i cant sleep & it makes me feel anxious & i antsy & i feel the need to take more. does any1 else have this problem? any advice on how to stop the headaches & anxiousness & not being able to sleep at night?

my oldest son...who i dont talk about that much...is addicted to xanax. he pops them by the handfuls...and i mean handfuls. he is trying to wean himself down...slowly...but i am worried about him. he and his family are moving to my condo in taos, new mexico in about a month. he will not have access to his pain management doctor anymore...good AND bad. he will not have time to slowly taper off these and i'm worried. excuse my stupidity...but...

can i go straight from xanax bars to ativan 2mg and have little to no wtdrawals. Or can i try going from xanax 2mgs to valium ten and experience no little to no withdrwals?

my son took a combination of xanax (bars?) and alcohol for two weeks strait. he has not taken any or drank any alcohol for 5 days now but still feels numb. how long does it take for this to get out of his system? the amount he took during this period is unknown.

my doc has me on Xanax 1mg and Oxycontin 30mg. every once in a while, I will take a pain pill then shortly there after I am having an anxiety attack. will it hurt to take both of my meds close together? this doesn't happen often. when I was on Oxycontin 15mg it didn't bother me.

I slept last night!! Went back to xanax, took 1 @ 8 last night, slept until 12, took another and slept until 7! I am sure I am addicted to it, but you know what, I dont care. I was given 3 bars by a friend due to some rough times I have been going through. Almost every evening after work for the last 2 weeks I have been breaking off a 0.5 piece. I don't feel like I'm addicted and have even went a couple days in between taking them.

I can take up to 4 xanax bars a day if i have them. It is causing me to be a different person and when i run out of my perscription i will buy it on the streets spending large amounts of money. Im starting to get tingling on my left side and lots of chest pains. Im not sure if this is from all the xanax taking or when i dont have any is this me going through withdrawals. Now you end up doing that at least a few days a week and get a therapist you are seeing to give you scripts for xanax hiding the clinic from them and complaining of terrible panic attacks and anxiety, and wallah!, youve got yourself a script of 90 2mg xanax bars, but little do most know the hell thats awaiting you after your on it for a certain length of time.
