I don't know what to tell you other than try and get him into an in-patient treatment center, he really needs the help before this doctor puts him in the grave. Then you can take care of the doctor.

He left the program AMA after 10 days suffering with extreme withdrawl symptoms, and has since proceeded to get back on the klonopin (2mg/2Xday). No rehab program will take him as long as he stays on the klonopin, so he is going to try to taper on his own. I don't think this will work, and am worried that he will soon be back on the 8mg and possibly back on the pain meds as well. Are there any other options for long-term recovery?
I don't know what happened to my old thread on this topic, but anyway, Im 19 years old and I'v had severe ocd and anxiety since I was little kid. I was also diagnosed with depression about 4 years ago. I'v been prescribed about every anti-depressant on the market, as well as a couple different bi-polar meds, all of which did absolutely nothing for me, except have negative side effects.
Hi Everyone, I was just wondering if Norco, 10-325 is easier to withdraw from than Oxycontin 80mg. My friend was taking 2 oxycontin 80mg a day and told her doctor ( they were not prescribed) and she told the doctor that the only thing stopping her from quitting oxycontin was the horrible withdrawals. He put her on Norco and told her to wean down with those, and that going cold turkey off Norcos ( once she's weaned down to 5 a day) is easier than w/d from oxycontin.
if he has mixed methadone with klonopin, he will be very drowsy, nodding off, eyes closing while talking, slurred speech, slow moving...he may seem fine while he is up and moving around, but when he sits to relax is when you will notice it the most...but if he is on a high dose of methadone, that alone MAY do this also...
but mixing methadone and benzodiazapines is extremely dangerous...i lost a close friend in december from this combination of drugs..
See a doc. He can try a different benzo, like temazepam (a hypnotic), but don't be mixing all your sleep meds -- not good. Also, a blood pressure drug, clonidine, really helps for many. Be very, very careful with it. You could still take Klonopin during the day, but you'll have to taper them when the wd's cool down.

I wouldn't advise quitting oxycontin cold turkey!!!! You will end up with insane migraines eye pain and feel like total ****,also may affect your heart rate. I tried it my self and ended up in emergency. I was told i to see a brain doctor he did an MRI of my brain and several test. He prescribed me meds for the migraines and told me to wean off the oxy. I was told not to come off oxy in that manor.
I have yet to recieve an answer about the suboxone with klonopin. both have been prescribed to me and doc said its okay but i felt like **** when i took them both together. and my new doctor seems to be a prescription pusher so im not sure i trust him. i should probably just call a few doctors and see what they say. cant take the anxiety much longer. the suboxone helps but i cant take it when i need it for anxiety u know? so what the hell can i do? some one respond please.

Does anyone have a problem with temper when taking Klonopin or Lamictal, or either of these drugs helping with a temper. I've been on Klonopin for several years so doubt that's the problem. I've only been on Lamictal two weeks and on lithium for a few months. I've had a problem with my temper for about a month.

I have access to Xanax and Klonopin to help with the anxiety and sleep issues, but what can I buy at the drug store, OTC, to help relieve the withdrawal symptoms? Just for general info, there may still be some of the original oxycontins out there (stamped "OC") but I suspect most are gone now and replaced with the reformulated "OP" stamped oxycontin...The new one's that caused allergic reactions with me and a few other's in here..Them doing that was probably a blessing in disguise as had they not been changed, I probably would still be having them prescribed and never quit.
