oxycontin overdose side effects

I was wondering if anyone new about the side effects of Oxycontin. I am currently taking 60 mg. 3 times a day for chronic pain. I have notice among other things that my sex drive has pretty much disappeared and that I have real problems getting erections if I may be so bold here. So I was wondering if anyone knows if that is a normal side effect of this drug. Also sweating and chills seem to be happening alot.

Pain medications have numerous side effects and those who do take pain meds on a regular basis do usually have some kind of depression due to the fact that they do have chronic pain but as far as the meds causing depression or bipolar no I do not believe so.

I need answers!, i swallowed 56 x 10mg oxycontin, 56 x 20mg oxycontin, 84 x 30mg clonazepam, and roughly 60 x 30mg duloxetine, this was on aug 13th 2010.....i'm still here...wtf !....how can my body deal with such a high amount of drugs......my doc seems to think they stuck in my gullet and did not get absorbed........this is an insult to my intelligence !.......can you please provide answers please.

m experiences most of the listed pysical side effects (dilated pupils, nausea for most of the day, dizzyness, some restlessness etc.), but mentally I feel like I'm alive again and don't want to give up this medication at all. And since I swallowed it and didn't chew it, I figure it will take about 40 minutes to kick in, just like my regular dose? (And since I halfed it, it's like taking 20 mg., right?) Maybe I'm not clear. What I'm trying to get at is since I'm used to taking 45 mg. oxycodone every 3 to 4 hours, that by taking a 1/2 of a 40 mg. oxycontin, I'm not going to get high or anything. Same med, right?

Umm if your doctor was a good doctor he should let you try other options if you can't handle the side effects from your medicine and feel that way.

t want to be on anything too strong. After several failed attempts at other medications (side effects), we decided to try Oxycontin since that has always worked in the past without any negative side effects. For some reason I don't tolerate the new formulation well. It makes me nauseous, causes cramping, etc...

The problem in the presecription which attached withthe drug written a risky side effects can damage the kidneys .. And the huge amount of vit d3 ( 1000-3000 iu) it has poisinous that lead to negatively affects on the liver and kidney functions !!! I was planning to take 5000 iu of vit d3 per day .. However i prefer to lower the quantityper day ..

ve seen on the Internet were only using up to like 80mg and they experienced the side effects in a lil bit stronger sense. My side effects seem to have been only a minor version of itself and not the whole side effect... And if I may add. I'm not addicted or ever think about being addicted to the vyvanse or any drug I've ever used. No matter how addictive the drug might be, I can take a normal dose or a high one, as I have mentioned. And I had minor side effects with no addictions...
