Avatar f tn Can anyone recommend an RE in the Boston Area? I need to make a change because I'm not happy with my present dr.
Avatar f tn It is oxymorphone and it is strongest pain medication available in pill form based on pharmacology. The oxycodone in Oxycontin is metabolized by the liver into oxymorphone. Therefore, the Opana ER would be a drug that is very comparable to the Oxycontin, only twice as strong.
Avatar f tn m very confused where to start. I live in southern CT myself. I was told that Boston is the place to go and not to waste my time with CT because their success rates for repairs are lower than Boston. If anyone knows anything about St. Vincents (they are listed as #1 in CT on their website), I'd appreciate your input. Is there a website that lists statistics about hospitals that do repairs, etc...?

I’ve seen a neurologist who just wanted to give me occipital nerve blocks and a general neurosurgeon in NH and he told me that I’m fine, and I’m totally not fine! It was a rushed 15 minute appointment with no time to ask questions. Thanks in advance!

Avatar f tn Does anybody know of a good chiari specialist in the Boston area that listens and can think outside of the box? I am definitely not a "textbook" case but truly believe I have a Chiari 0 or at least definite crowding that is causing tremendous neurological disability. I also have an unfused arch of c-1 and retroflexed odontoid that I swear pokes into my brainstem and have had a PT assess me as having a craniocervical instability.

251395 tn?1434494286 You are describing a thyroid goiter with normal labs according to your doc's report. She may very well have normally functioning thyroid but may have positive antibodies responsible for the gland enlargement. I would ask your pediatrician for a referral to a pediatric endocrinologist. They can repeat the tests if needed, adding to the panel with antibodies if appropriate and feel the gland and decide about imaging like an ultrasound. Joslin is excellent and you should be in good hands. Dr.

Avatar f tn It was given to me by a migraine specalist in Boston. My doc is starting her own practice at the end on July but I was told that the office she was working out of would continue to write my prescriptions until she was in her new office. Well this did not happen. I went in to get my next script and saw the Nurse Practioner.
