oxycontin high school

My boyfriend and i were on 40-80 mg of oxycontin a day, sometimes a little more. We did this every single day for like 3 months, and before that we did them a couple times a week for the past year. We decided to quit cold turkey because of the amount of money we were spending. We are now on day 3 and feel nothing. The only withdraw symptoms we have experienced are being grouchy and tired. I have been in school and wor everyday and he works in the coa mines. Why are we not sick?

hi dub, and welcome to the forum..a very wise man once said " you will get clean when your desire to get clean is stronger than your desire to be high". in other words if you want to be clean you have to be willing to suffer the pain of w/ds. it hurts like heck. but, it does pass...i did about the same amount of oxy per day, but snorted it. i went c/t, and in about 20 days i will have 1 year clean. i wont lie for about 5 days i wanted to die..and had to work...

Hello world- first post on this website....figured it might help to do some type of forum or something. I've been addicted to oxycontin/percocets/suboxone (off and on when not getting high, for almost 2 years now. My life has completely changed, but I don't need to get into that. Let's basically say I used to be the captain of high school sports, you know the whole jock story, and then got into drugs hardcore, went from 185 lbs to 140 lbs.

Is there anyone who has any tips for how to go through a bad oxycontin withdrawal? I am wondering if there are any specific foods, vitamins, activities etc. that will help shorten or relieve the inevitable withdrawals. I feel so foolish for ever getting myself addicted to these horrible things. It started when I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed years ago and the doctor gave me a prescription. Now I have been off an on them for years. I need to get my life back.

I'm Still in High school and I'm pregnant and I get made fun of because I'm pregnant and sometimes it make me regret not wanting to keep my baby what should I do!!!!!

Contact your local high school, local school district that includes a high school, or your local community or junior college, and ask what resources for getting the GED they know about.

Taking oxycontin myself I think that is an extremely high does. Now you did not say what type of condition you have that makes you need this medication so it could warrant such a high dose. What could be happening is your body build a tolerance you eventually you require more and more medication. Perhaps switching to a different medication. A good doctor would discuss that with you rather than giving you more oxycontin. Are you able to function daily?

I have been on Oxycontin for 2 years and am going to try quitting cold turkey. Anyone know the best way to quit cold turkey?? any suggestions will help greatly.

I was in high school when I was pregnant with my son (14 yes ago). I went into labor during class! They had to evacuate the other students, the principal had to go get my dad (he taught at the junior high down the street), and ems was called. They had all the teachers shut their doors and stand in the windows when they wheeled me out so the other kids couldn't see. I was 2 months early though so the hospital stopped the labor and sent me home on bed rest, except school...

Accidentally overdosed on oxycontin. Was in alot of pain and took too many. Coming down from the high dose to my usual dose was horrendous. It was a week from hell. Had alot of anxiety, restlessness and agitation. Also was vomiting alot. Having a bad urinary infection didnt help matters. Couldn't sit still. Had to be on the move all the time. Couldn't eat, sleep. bath, shave or brush my teeth. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Hi I have been relying on 20mg of controlled release oxycontin to wake-up in the morning for months now. I have been starting with 20 then as that wears of I take another 20. The most I have taken in a day is 80mg. Forgot to mention that I have been chewing them before swallowing. Do you think this will be hard to get off? and what am I going to feel?

, in their high school and/or junior high school? If you did have that class, did you go over how to prevent pregnancy or did you just learn about abstinence? Did you learn about how pregnancy occurs? And finally, did you learn about STDs?

It is not going to get any easier later, a baby at least sleeps every now and then but toddlers do not give you study time. You will be really sorry not to finish high school, not only now (embarrassment in front of your friends and probably sometimes having to lie) but later, it gets worse not better with time. As you see above, you will be doing it for your child as well as for you; if you can't do it for you, do it for the baby's sake.

I have a standing order with a pain management dr that gives me oxycontin 40mgs 4 x per day for gout pain that comes from the kidney ailment among other things. I will not lie- I usually munch them up at the beggining of each day. makes me feel happy for about 5 to 6 hours. I know this is addict behaviour. I am an addict. I will not dare tell my dr this.

i was that way all through high school. it's not good to give in to it...though i know it's much easier. it turns out i missed out on a lot in school by letting this control me. but my point is i'm 24 now and things change a LOT from your age to my age. now i'm not nearly as uncomfortable in social situations as i used to be. i'm also not nearly as uncomfortable as i used to be with talking to other people i don't know. anyway...

Ive been taking about 100mgs of oxycontin a day for about 1.5 month now. What do i do? Quit cold turkey or taper off? I cannot take days off work.

If you want to use the Tylenol 3 to get off the oxycontin so that it is easier to quit the tylenol 3 rather than oxy, then yes that is a better plan and you would also be in less severe withdrawl by doing this.. But you do not want to try and replace that feeling you were getting from the oxy with tylenol 3 because no matter how much you take it will never make you feel as strong as the oxy either..

They have a pill you can take and if you drink alcohol after you get violently sick (throwing up mainly) and they have a pill that can snap heroin overdosers right out of their high. I thought it would be cool if they make a pill that causes opiates to not get you high but still can help with pain. As you most likely know already, the crime and violence from it because of pharmacy thefts is rising like the price of gold here in the states.

He is also on oxycontin, both for severe back pain. The oxycontin he craves and is addicted to (currently tapering down from) but the Lyrica he does not crave at all and sometimes doesn't take any at all during the day. Due to the addiction to the oxycontin, we have both spoken to the doc about Lyrica and he has told us that if the maximum dosage is exceeded then it can give a "high" but only in the higher dosage, it certianly couldn't do that at a low dosage apparently.

I have had 2 back surgeries the last causing constant pain. I have been on oxycontin for pain for years. Even though it only dulls the pain, i am able to move now and have to raise my grandson, who is 9 and i have been raising him alone for the past 8 years.

Yes there has been many times where I don't feel motivated at all but I know I have to do it for my future and the future of my family. It was difficult at first to be concentrated because I had terrible morning sickness and I was working. I did a high school class online in 2010 and I really didn't like to study and do it online but I had to. I currently have a 3.2 GPA.

Hi Everyone, I was just wondering if Norco, 10-325 is easier to withdraw from than Oxycontin 80mg. My friend was taking 2 oxycontin 80mg a day and told her doctor ( they were not prescribed) and she told the doctor that the only thing stopping her from quitting oxycontin was the horrible withdrawals. He put her on Norco and told her to wean down with those, and that going cold turkey off Norcos ( once she's weaned down to 5 a day) is easier than w/d from oxycontin.

Now on oxycontin and vicotin 10/325 ..i went cold turkey one week ago. How long do these awful withdrawals last.
