After failed neck fusion, I was prescribed slow release Oxycontin. 6 yrs later after lots of hassles, I finally found out that Oxycontin is absorbed in the large intestine.In desperation for pain relief ( with my Dr's approval) I started chewing them. I currently take 6 x 20mg tabs per day. 1 every 4 hrs. They just changed the formula & now they change to s gluggy gel when they get wet. This hsd been causing me some problems, so my GP prescribed me Targin.

glucosomaine is helpfull for pain relief, tablets and gel, (gel for within a couple of days relief) and tabs for long term, you have to take the tabs for at least three mths for them to start working though....it's suppose to replace the gunkey stuff behind the knee cap, i use it all the time (gel) for my discs in my back....hope this helps...

Has anyone tried Magnesium Gel for PVCs or just for calming effect? If so, how did you use it, how much and do you think it was effective?

very little kidney involvement....many drug users when they reah a high dose/switch to a drug that is tylenol free like oxycontin to avoid the liver thing...percocets/oxycodone which is also the drug in oxycontin/does have tylenol as a rule "cet" stands for tylenol,,,locet is hydro but so is lortab which has not "cet" in the name...important to keep up with tylenol doses as it can kill u in a heart beat..

I have been prescibed 80mg oxycontin 2 X daily. It seemed like the miracle drug. I've been taking it for almost 2 yrs With the recent change in the fillers, it doesn't seem to work as well, or last as long. Also I have been breaking out in small blisters on my hands. My stomach also seems to be more upset than usual. I've been told that they didn't change the active ingredients. Could it be possible that I'm having an allergic reaction to the new fillers in the medication?

So with that I have been taking 80 mg oxycontin 4 times a day and 4 mg dilaudid 4 times a day. I HATE BEING A SLAVE TO MY MEDS. I WANT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not sure if I can deal with the pain but It is better than living around your meds. If you run out OMG the withdraws are horrific, I rather kill myself. how can I wean myself off PLEASE HELP. The football shaped OCs are produced by Teva Pharm. They do not contain naltrexone, but rather a matrix of gel within the pill. i told my DR in the beggining i was hooked on them and i could get off them myself if he could give a bunch of 10mg Oxys. So he agave me 100 tabs...but it went from that to getting 35, 20mg tabs a week,and i kept having it increased and he didnt blink an eyelash when i would go into see him...he always had a smile on and up'd my doseage...until one day two years later i was gettin 10, 40mg tablets a day...so 70 tabs a week..

i have been using the crinone gel 8% for 2 weeks now and had my embryo transfered on 4th april. i have started to notice a pinky colour in the discharge that heppens with the gel and am worried that my embryo didnt attach and that i might be getting a period.

I had always taken tabs/percs for years, and always been able to control that to a recreational extent. I have been averaging 3 tabs of 10/325 Norco a day. I take it for numerous reasons...spinal stenosis - but it helps all of my arthritis. I stopped 2 days ago and hurt all over...I do this even when on the meds sometimes but the meds will pull me up. If I increased to 4 a day I am fairly pain free. I am on Oxycontin 200mg, was twice a day, but my GP suggested to take it 4 times a day, which is 100mg 6 hourly. so it is 400mg a day. Could you tell me what is the maximum dose that can be prescribed. Is their a maximum dose? Want to come off it. So a charity who deals in involuntary addiction suggested i do it very slowly. Like 5mg a day for 2 weeks then another 5mg a day for 2 weeks and so on till I am done with the tabs.

i disovered oxycontin tabs in my ileostomy pouch that have not disoved, the oxycontin is the slow release type and turns into gooy substance when being disolved according to FDA website. i have also found the goo type in pouch. what are alternatives to this issue ?

I couldnt takee it anymore. My parents and I are super close. My dad has been on oxycontin, morphine, tabs, valium, etc for pain management for his back for 7 yrs or longer. and my mom has been on tabs for about 3 yrs. so if anyone close to me knows about opiates its my parents. I told them i wasnt feeling good and told them i thought i was going thru withdrawals. they had asked me when was the last time i took anything and what it was. I told them tabs and suboxone, the doses, and all.

I would make sure that this last prescription wasn't accidentally filled with the instant release and not the ER version... And I think you blended two med names with Oxycontin MS...Oxycontin is a med all by itself..It is Oxycodone in Continuous formula...hence the "contin"....MS usually stands for Morphine Sulfate and comes in both IR (immediate release) or ER (extended release formulas)... If it is a 12 hour version...then usually most Drs. are ok with dosing it every 8 hours..

Are you referring to oxycodone or oxycontin? I honestly haven't looked, but I have felt like my medication wasn't working as well. I suppose I should look. I don't know what to do when that happens, though.

yep im on day four of 2 (20 mg) tabs Oxycontin per day, and then I can take up to 6 oxycodone per day. I am in withdrawal -- lightheaded, very very tired, increased appetite, inability to concentrate, scheesch. Im going to stay on the 2 (20 mg) per day plan for a while since I had been on 4-5 (20mg) per day for 2 years or so. Im miserable, but not as bad as I thought.

So I was able to get a script in time to start my clomid 50mg along with the metformin (1700mg) I've been taking. :) I also got a script for progesterone supp. but I've never used them so I have a few questions. I was told that once I get a positive OPK then 3 days later in the evening to start inserting them vaginally and then start doing it twice a day after that. Do you have to lay flat for a while after you insert them?

I see posts that say you can cut up the oxycontin and ones that say no. Seems if you made like 8 pieces out of it you would be safe? Not interested in shooting or snorting it. Just in making small doses of the oxycodone out of it. Can ya do that?

Try drinking each day some Cranberry Juice, or take Cranberry Gel Tabs. This will have a drastic change on your yeast infection. You probably won't get it anymore,. This isn't for Herpes but it will work for yeast infection.....

Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks and spicy food. See if it helps. If it does not help, consult a doctor. Take care!

I have been taking synthroid ( generic and brand) for over ten years. All of a sudden I have itching all over my body about 5 hours after taking it. I know it is related to the synthroid because if I skip a day or two I don't itch. My doctor and my allergist don't think it's the synthroid. Don't know what to do. I know I have to take it for life. I wasn't offered any alternatives except for taking 50 mug tabs because they don't have the dye.

30 having contractions. I went into labor and delivery I was in early stage of labor 4cm at 90% effacment. I think it helped move things along.
