Hi Please remember that Eltroxin only contains thyroxine (T4 hormone) at different strengths BUT Diotroxin contains thyroxine sodium 90 micrograms and liothyronine sodium 10 micrograms (T4 and T3 hormones). As far as I know Diotroxin comes in one strength only. Please keep an eye on your T3 levels. Ask for them to be tested as well when you test your thyroid levels.

He is also on oxycontin, both for severe back pain. My pain doctor has me on 20mg oxycodone twice a day and up to 6-10/325 norco a day, prior to the oxycodone he had me on 15mg oxycontin twice a day. I am not getting any pain relief from the oxycontin or oxycodone, the norco does give me some pain relief, but am limited to 6 a day as to not damage my liver. What other long acting pain meds are out there??? I have an appointment to see my pain doctor next week, but would like to have some additional info when I go in to see him.

I have experienced pain for 10 years and have been prescribed OxyContin for that pain. My dosage has been the same for over 5 years. 80mg OxyContin 3 time a day and 30mg oxycodone for breakthrough pain. My doctors are pain specialists so they know their stuff. I want off! I actually, found the meds to be to strong and requested a lower dose of 10mg 3x per day. I continued to take this dosage ip until my second surgery in April. My tolerance level was high and the pain was horrible, as a result I was prescribed 30 mg 4x per day and this time the dosage wasn't too strong. Since that time with the help of my physician, I am on the week of weening down to 2x per day 30mg then the next day 1x per day 30mg.

they use different interferons than we do and im trying to compare their dosage level and side effect level to ours. one study i looked at said that a dose of 30 micrograms/week of IM interferon beta-1a was well tolerated but a dose of 60 micrograms/week caused severe flulike symptoms and elevated liver enzymes. im assuming that this type is similar to infergen, really strong. it seems like pegasys and pegintron dosages are somewhat similar.

Yes although dosage and frequency of usage does matter. In my experience morphine, high dosage oxycontin and methadone are the most effective (and the most addicting) pain killers.

Hi emmaless, Am I reading your post correctly that you were taking 80 mg of Oxycontin 3x per day and 40 mg of Oxycontin 3x per day? If yes, keep reading...LOL. I thought you wrote that you were taking 80 mg and 40mg total of Oxycontin per day. That is why my post to your other thread stated that you were on more medicine through Fentanyl than through Oxycontin. That is not the case if you taking the 80 mg and the 40 mg 3x per day. That is 120 mg x 3 or 360 mg of Oxycontin per day vs.

I have a standing order with a pain management dr that gives me oxycontin 40mgs 4 x per day for gout pain that comes from the kidney ailment among other things. I will not lie- I usually munch them up at the beggining of each day. makes me feel happy for about 5 to 6 hours. I know this is addict behaviour. I am an addict. I will not dare tell my dr this.

I just discovered this forum while googling a change from Armour thyroid (90 mg) to Nature Thyroid, 1.5 grain. I found earlier posts that explained that the strengths vary from brand to brand. I was never aware of this, and my prescriptions have been filled with different brands at different times. I was also never aware that I could divide the dose and take it twice (or more) a day. I started several years ago on just 30 mg, then went up to 60 last year, and 90 ten days ago.

If you want to use the Tylenol 3 to get off the oxycontin so that it is easier to quit the tylenol 3 rather than oxy, then yes that is a better plan and you would also be in less severe withdrawl by doing this.. But you do not want to try and replace that feeling you were getting from the oxy with tylenol 3 because no matter how much you take it will never make you feel as strong as the oxy either..
