1689801 tn?1333983316 I have myoclonic spasms of the diaphragm which can start with hiccups. Hiccups as I understand it and I could be wrong come from spasms of the diaphragm. The phrenic nerve is irritated. The spasm can be really painful.
Avatar m tn As soon as the hiccups start, take continuous sips of water. It works for me. My uncle also has had a life time of bad hiccups and said it didn't work. When I told him to start the sips as soon as the hiccups start, now he says it has worked! And yes, it could be a consequence of the stroke. I read at the Mayo Clinic site that hiccups are a form of myoclonus which I have. My particular kind causes sudden involuntary jerks of my muscles which was caused by my stroke.
455051 tn?1255826518 I have felt my baby move but I was wondering what a kick and hiccups feels like? My ob/gyn asks me if I have felt the baby kick and I say no b/c I am not sure what to feel. I feel a pulse when I put my hand on my belly but thats about it. I can right now feel him moving back and forth on my bladder.
Avatar f tn Hiccups will feel consistent and more evenly spaced apart. Kicks tend to be more random and don't have a pattern.
Avatar f tn It's normal and healthy for baby to have hiccups. My Dr always asks if my baby had the hiccups and says he's healthy if he does.
Avatar f tn I asked my midwife about it and she said its normal and some babies gets the hiccups a lot. The hiccups have slowed down the past couple of weeks but are still frequent.
Avatar m tn Even if some time has passed, a CT scan of brain, chest X-ray and ECG should be done. It is quite possible that the hiccups you had were due to something you ate that caused gastric irritation. However a brain bleed needs to be ruled out. If the bleed was small and localized, you may not feel any other symptoms. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

I sat down I felt them low low low right in the middle of my pelvis. So could she have flipped? Avatar m tn I get hiccups with all starches whether hot or cold. I have noticed it with bread; mealiemeal; potatoes and especially rice. Could it be that I am intolerant of it? How can I prevent it?
Avatar f tn Its probably your body adjusting to your growing belly. But just to be on the safe side call or see your Dr. I'm 36 weeks and I've been to my Dr a million times. Seriously. I went a month ago because she had the hiccups and I didn't know that they could get the hiccups in utero.. Lol! But yeah. Call ur Dr. They won't mind and you will feel better knowing what's going on. I hope this helps and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

6452840 tn?1381776492 ...has hiccups all day long! ! Ok around 5-6 times a day BUT isn't that little crazy ? :-) i know hiccups are great for the development of their lungs! Does anyone else's baby has that many of them? ?
4672895 tn?1357862297 I would not say it is hiccups casue it is not coming from his mouth, but his body looks like a hiccup (up and down) and it happens sometimes one to three times a day and he does it for about one or two minues. My puppy is a Shuh Tuz and he is 6 months old. He has all of his shots and is a playful active little guy. His name is Banlu-Chi and I bought him from a breader when he was 8 weeks old.
Avatar n tn It seems like this time around (I have a 4 year old boy as well) have the hiccups at least 5 times a day. My first born hardly had the hiccups. And he moves continually thru out the entire day... I guess it's just different from my first pregnancy.
Avatar n tn I'm not on this board, but I'm glad I'm notthe only one feeling this! I'm 31 weeks pregnant and just over the past 2-3 weeks, it feeling like this baby is having seizures or something! I haven't brought this up to my doctor because he looks at me like I'm crazy anyways, then to be worried about this, he's doing to take me to the nuts house! LOL But it's just jerking, shaking feeling and I haven't felt this with any of my other children!?!

Oxycodone and OxyContin are essentially the same drug and have no Tylenol in them. OxyContin is a time relealse and is usually taken twice a day. Usuallymanother med is given for breakthrough pain. All of these drugs will case physical dependence and in some people can lead to addiction.
Avatar n tn Do you feel hiccups or kicks in certain places? Mine hiccups very low in my pelvis so I know that he's head down and I also get kicked all day and night in my rib cage! He sticks his little booty out the top of my belly too! Haha look for signs like their hiccup placement or where you're feeling this hard kicks! Those are both good indicators as to whether baby is positioned head down or breeched.
1068361 tn?1290628159 ve found that it is indicative of how they will be when they are born. My first and the present pregnancy had almost daily hiccups and my daughter got the hiccups every time she ate once she was born. I can't remember my second ever having the hiccups and once he was born, He never seemed to get them. He woold burp constantly though. LOL.
Avatar f tn m right and these headaches are being caused by the analgesics the only solution I see here is to somehow wean totally off the oxycontin. The bone and muscle pain is unbearable and I cannot walk without the oxycontin but the headaches incapacitate me too. I don't want to simply exist. I want to participate in life.
Avatar m tn Generally diaphragmatic irritation can lead to frequent hiccups or even burps. Liver and gall bladder problems too can irritate the right diaphragm. Also electrolyte imbalance could be the cause. Hence get your serum electrolytes, liver and gall bladder function done. Chances are also that you have esophageal reflux (GERD), where the food in your stomach is thrown up into your food pipe or esophagus.
