oxycodone ibuprofen

I actually asked my doctor to switch me to oxycodone from the Percocet. Tylenol really upsets my stomach, though i know that's not all that common. I know many doctors who think the Tylenol actually helps the narcotic work better, but I think it makes more sense to be able to add it in when you need it. I always took (as prescribed) 800 mg. of ibuprofen along with my oxycodone and it definitely helps me.

Oxycodone, I took between 7 to 11 per day the 5 Mg ones. This mental fog is really getting to me and making it very hard to do any thing. Which is not an option. So frustrating. My hubby is getting inpatient with me and I feel we are on the verge of ssplitting up agaim. I try and get something done around the house, may not be much but I at least try. He is expecting me to just get up and do everything like I did before.

In addition to the fibro I also have adhesive arachnoiditis, which causes severe nerve pain on a fairly constant basis in my legs and acute, sharp nerve pains on a random basis in any other given part of my body at random intervals. The only thing that works on the nerve pain for me is oxycodone, which my doctor prescribes for me every month. For that "whole-body ache" that goes along with the fibro, however, I have found that what works best is good old ibuprofen.

oxycodone, valium, tylenol (650mg) and ibuprofen (200mg). at the hospital the tylenol and ibuprofen were scheduled meds and i was only given oxycodone and valium when i requested them. any ideas on when i should take each? need to take tylenol every 6 hours. should i take oxy with tylenol, or valium with tylenol? or with ibuprofen (every 4 hours). i dont want to take more than i need to.

I believe that oxycodone is the generic name for Roxicodone, which is also obviously percocet without the tylenol. Oxycontin and oxycodone are the same thing, EXCEPT oxycodone is a quick release tablet, and oxycontin is a slow release of the same med. Hydrocodone is the ingredient in Vicodin and Lortab. Although they are all narcotics, vicodin and lortab are lesser strength than the oxy's and morphine.

5 mg and 10mg. Percocet is oxycodone and tylenol. Oxycontin is oxycodone in a time released pill. They used to make a capsule of 15mg of fast release oxycodone that people called percocet 15's but that was a misnomer. I'm not sure that they still make them here in the US.

Hello I'm 16 and just had a right clavicle surgery around 8-10 and was later realesed with oxycodone and have to take 2 every 4 hours. It hasn't been a day since the surgery and I want to be off the oxy and take Advil or tynelol. The oxy had been making me throw up so this is why the instant switch I am thinking of making.

You should not need oxycodone for the side affects of rebif. Acetaminophen or ibuprofen alone should quell any of the possibilities. Maybe you can split it somehow? If you injected at night after dinner take the ibuprof or tylenol and then keep your regularly scheduled day routine for pain? Just a thought. That's what I do. That way, if I do experience affects I can sleep through them. Being 7 months in your likely well adjusted by now.

i went to the er yesterday morning and they gave me clindamycin hcl 150 mg and ibuprofen 800 mg along with oxycodone apap5-325mg.

Also thanks for the advice about the Percoset. I am taking straight Oxycodone, so I can alternatively use Tylenol or Ibuprofen on top of it as needed, usually 4-6 hours apart. Thanks everyone!

I have been on 30mg oxycontin 2x a day, and 30mg oxycodone 4x a day for severe chronic pain. I have had 2 neck surgeries, because the first fusion was a failure. Now my PCP has knocked me down to 240 10mg oxycodone, because he claims that the CDC will revoke his license if he doesn't go by there guide lines on the amount of opiate allowed per day. Now my severe pain level is a constant 10+ with severe withdrawl. How many others out there is having this problem, because of the CDC?

I have a scheduled spinal injection tomorrow and I blew it by taking ibuprofen over the weekend, this morning in fact. What are the risks if I went ahead and still had the injection? I'm not typically a bleeder...

Have you tried ibuprofen? Sometimes I get headaches from the oxycodone and I find 800 mg. ibuprofen helps. For all my pains, it helps a little. I think it helps the oxy work better for me.

I'm been on 40 mlg oxycodone for 4 years . after multi back surgery . Now I want to quit i've weened down 5 mlg every three days . Now I'm at 10 a day . Can I quit without withdrawl now ? What do I expect ?

Taken Oxycodone 30mg for about a month now. Does hardly anything to quell the enormous back pain I have. Can crushing it and drinking it with apple juice make a difference? Will it work faster?

If you having a rough day and need more, rather than taking more of the narcotic, just take two ibuprofen with your oxycodone. That will boost the strength of the oxycodone only when you need it, and not cause you to be taking an overabundance of unnecessary Tylenol. Hope this helps.

Is it safe for me to take a vicoprofen (5-7.5mg hydrocodone 200-325 mg ibuprofen) after this event. It has not yet been 24 hours, but I have eaten a substantial meal today as well as 2 snacks and have been drinking water. Please, only people who know for sure! I switched from my first PM clinic because they had me on a boatload of meds (Fentanyl, oxycodone, Ativan, and Ambien.) I was way overmedicated. They insisted I needed them. So I took off the Fentanyl patch (not knowing what I was in for. I don't recommend CT off it.) I then went into pain management that was connected to my primary care. Initially they took me way down to a low dose, at my request. They always would increase my dose during a flare-up.

t tell you what to ask for but I can say that Oxycodone is the same as Percocet but it does not contain Ibuprofen. This may be an option for you since it sounds like your kidneys need a rest. We're here to help anyway we can. Please keep us up to date on how you're doing and what your Dr says.

Roxicodone does not contain acetaminophen, it's the same thing as oxycodone and is about 90% opiate and very addictive. It would be less invasive to the liver as opposed to Lortab, Vicodin or Percocet which do have acetaminophen, Ibuprofen or something along those lines.

Hi the exact same thing happened to me ..... My buddy was driving me home and we were doing nitrous and got in a car accident and I didn't go to the hospital for 5 days til the pain was so bad I had to go to the ER and I found out I had 5 cracked ribs and 3 bruised. Been the worst weeks ever. I'm on week 5 and they gave me 30 mg of oxycodone ir to take 6 times a day. So I get 120 pills every 2 weeks and the pain only goes away for like hours.

Just a quick correction...Percocet is oxycodone with Acetaminophen, and Percodan is Oxycodone with Aspirin, not Tylenol. There are other, less common combinations, like Vicoprofen, which would be Hydrocodone with Ibuprofen instead of Tylenol (Acetaminophen). Vicodin, Norco, Lortab are all Hydrocodone. Dilaudid comes both in oral and injectable forms, with doses starting at usually 1 mg. Fentanyl patches typically start at 25 mcg/hr (micrograms). I have seen lower doses, 12.

Ok, here goes... I'm an alcoholic trying to quit. Last drink was July 4th. I had previously been dry a couple weeks and was taking ativan 3mg/day. On July 4th, I slipped and drank. A lot. I fell and was injured, rushed to hospital, given ativan and pain meds, released 2 days later. Never took any pain meds before except tylenol or ibuprofen (I'm 50). Got home and was in severe pain. I refused the oxycodone script at the hospital.

m not really sure what else there is in a comparable strength. Those meds are also available with ibuprofen instead of acet, too.

t speak for all, but I too have chronic pain that was addressed via Lortab, Soma and Ibuprofen. Doc took me off the Ibuprofen 800's, changed my Lortabs to Norco as they have less Acetaminophen. I am ok taking them and my liver is trashed, but still compensated.
