That depends on how long you used for i belive.Usualy for me,and believe me i can take enuff to kill a person,but at the same time just a few does the trick. But day 5 is key,that's when u want to eat,normal bowel movements.Sleep starts coming back. I use trazedone to help sleep,Anxiety isn't too bad.Read up on PAWS tho so u know what to expect,it can come back down the road,it is the price we pay. But don't fear support is right here.Nutrition plays a big part.GOOD food.

Five days ago I had an ACL replacement. For the first two days after surgery I felt great. I have been taking oxycodone 5-325 tablets every 4-6 hrs and morphine sulf ER 30 mg every 12 hours. On day 3 I started vomiting and kept it up through day four, but stopped taking any drugs. I figured I was allergic to the oxycodone. Now it's day 5 and my stomach has been in knots for yesterday and today. Is it related to my reaction to the oxycodone? Or what else would be causing it?

You will get flu like symptoms for 4-5 days and that will pretty much end the physical part. Diahrea, stomach cramps, loss of sleep, restless leg syndrome esp at night..I got the sneezing too. Some folks taper but I was not able to do that bc I kept taking all of my pills. See if your doctor can give you something for sleep and benzos for anxiety. Immodium is very important. Drink lots of fluids and eat bannanas. Take lots of hot baths.

I started doing Oxycodone (Percs) about a year and a half ago socially. Never for pain. And I LOVED them. I love the feeling they give me. They make me feel happy and carefree and just making dealing with every day life a little easier. Throughout the past year and a half of my life, it's gotten out of control. I have been on pain management for eight years. I was taking 20mg of oxycodone 4x per day and it was not controlling my pain so the doctor added 20mg of oxycontin 2x per day and I have got a lit of relief!!! But my concern is since I have been taking it my stomack cramps real bad I stay nauseous and can't hardly eat does anyone no if this is a side effect? Don't want to call the doctor because my pain is manageable!!!!

They are synthetic. The cutoff level for opiods is 2000 ng/ml, the cutoff for opiads like oxycodone is 100 ng/ml. Either a more sensitive test needs to be used or a test specific to opiads must be used to avoid a false negative. Hi everyone :) My Dad recently had a stroke, during which time they found occlusion in one of his legs, causing foot pain. He's currently on Oxycodone. But I'm looking for a better pain management option(s) for him. From what I've been able to ascertain, Vicodin, Celebrex, Darvo- or Percocet have seemed viable options. I have been on oxycodone 15mg. Four times a day for four years. I am in such a horrible trap. I thought by switching to Belbuca I could manage the pain with less side effects, as this is what I have been told. Any comments/insight on the differences in Belbuca and Oxycodone, I would love to hear from you.

I am stopping methadone but i also have a rx at the pharmacy for norco....should i fill it or let it be? I have horrible pms and will need something for it when it hits! Is ambien alright to take to sleep also?

The test showed positive for oxycodone. I have not taken oxycodone. Can the buprenorphine-naloxone cause a false positive for oxycodone? I have seen that is can on an urine test but what about a hair test? If so, any recommendations on how to work through it to get it cleared? Thanks.

I became addicted to oxycodone 15mg in 2012 after my first back surgery, obviously I was on them while I was in the hospital for 7days after surgery then took them for about 4 days once I got home. I tried to stop and became sick and realized I was addicted. I go to a pain clinic for my chronic pain. Since then I had surgery on my elbow and just 2 weeks ago I had another back surgery. My oxycodone has never been upped in dosage so of course it doesn't help with the pain.

I'm 7 months clean for a 90-150mg oxycodone a day addiction. I spotted cold turkey. It took me 3-4 attempts before I finally called it quits for good. The first week is hell no sleep no appetite for the first few days. Opana has a long half life, even in immediate release form, such that 6 hour dosing works extremely well for most patients versus the 4 hour dosing of oxycodone. Oxymorphone is the metabolite of oxycodone...in other words, the roxicodone that you take is metabolized by the liver into oxymorphone. Given that you can tolerate oxycodone, which metabolizes into oxymorphone, tells me you can probably also tolerate oxymorphone in immediate release form???

s some advice. You should be taking the OxyContin for persistent pain and the Percocet for breakthrough pain. Since OxyContin is a 12 hour extended-release formulation of oxycodone it can probably be reduced to just twice daily initially since there's only 24 hours in one day. Of course Percocet is an immediate release formulation of oxycodone and thus has a shorter half-life than the OxyContin. Detoxification from oxycodone depends on your level of pain and your desire to stop taking it.
