oxycontin

Avatar m tn Yes the oxys r both the same thing so don't get why he's on two kinds and doses and yes they can affect his kidneys and liver over time. But long use like alcohol.
Avatar f tn How long will it take me to pass the drug test? Keep in mind that oxycodone and potentially hydrocodone are the only drugs in my system. Btw, the drug test isn't for anything serious like court or probation.. I'm thinking about applying for new jobs.
614661 tn?1267273924 m glad Tuck mentioned that Acetaminophen can damage the Kidneys and I want to add that it can also damage the Liver so be careful...you only have one liver and the body needs it.

Avatar n tn I'm a pharmacist and it will not ruin your stomach or your kidneys as long as you have the straight oxycodone version.
Avatar f tn My 1st Neuro and my 1st pain doctor did the 10/325 but my previous PM did the oxycontin and oxycodone (over prescribed - actually a GP) who shouldn't of been doing pain pills. I think the DEA agreed as he is no longer practicing. My new PM is getting ready to give me Nucynta in 2 weeks. Something entirely new for myself.
Avatar f tn Welcome to the forum. Although narcotics like oxycodone may make you feel better they are not good for your HepC at all. You may want to give them up and if you can't, at least stop taking so much. My brother in law was hooked and died a couple of years ago. He told me over the hospital phone to stay away from all opiates because they will take you out quicker than anything he could think of, right up there with alcohol. good luck http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.

186606 tn?1263510190 well that was interesting. i have to have two tests late this week or early next and then lithotripsy on both kidneys. the right one has sustained some damage but she doesn't know how much. it is prolly from tx.
Avatar m tn With better PK, oxycodone is quickly converted in the liver to its metabolites and excreted by the kidneys -- a process requiring 24-48 hours. With poor PK, metabolites stick around longer. There are two kinds of UDT (urine drug testing) -- immunonassay and chromatography. Immunoassay is simple and involves colored reagent strips that simply detect the presence of certain opioids.
Avatar f tn You need to be treated for the blood pressure because it puts more strain on a damaged liver, as well as your heart, brain, kidneys, arteries and any other part of your body that gets blood to it. All I have ever used for pain is Ibuprofen. It pretty much takes care of it and it isn't addictive. I agree that diet and exercise is important too.
Avatar f tn Are these items that could be from just taking the oxycodone and my body coverts it to this or is the test flawed. my oxycodone levels where a little high in my blood but I had just taken my medication one hour prior to the test with grapefruit juice witch I now know not to do cause it can cause high levels but my PM Dr is concerned about the other drugs in my blood.
Avatar f tn we are actually healthy persons because hbv makes no damage to us, only few patients have strong immune system damaging liver and that is only the liver nothing else of the body...so tdf on hbv studies has 1% of kidneys issues on hbv carriers already having these issues before tdf start if your kidneys are fine from the start, very high creatinine clearance, you ll have no issues.
7059039 tn?1389576984 my question is though has anyone peed blood about four months after stopping coricidin, and also does any one sometimes have severe kidney pain.
Avatar f tn I'm 34 weeks and my kidneys are just killing me. I went to the bath room this morning and I had to pee so bad but it was like I was blocked off. I had a uti already with this pregnancy and I don't think that's what it is. The doc confirmed that I had got rid of it. Does anyone possibly know why my kidneys could be hurting so bad.
Avatar m tn I have been using Norco and othe opiods for about 1 year. Today i decided that it was a good idea to stop. I was only able to score 7.5/750 and i took alot over the last few days. 7831604 tn?1399711007 I went to hospital and they thought it was my kidneys, they did a urine test and blood tests looking for infections because the pain came on so suddenly it woke me from my sleep and I was in tears! It turns out it was just a muscle, thank goodness!

Avatar f tn Thanks urologist cancelled my appointment yesterday and said I need to see a nephrologist instead so I'll let you know and keep u informed thank you
Avatar f tn I'm nearly 9 weeks pregnant and in pain with my kidneys is this normal?
Avatar f tn I have no idea how this will all play out. I did start googling Lyme and Kidneys and found a case study of someone with Lyme with such poor kidney function, the poor person had to go on dialysis for 5 months. They dubbed it "Lyme nephritis." The good news is the patient had an "excellent outcome." I don't know if that means the patient survived, or the patient fully recovered or something in between Hard to know what doctor parlance is.
