t have harmed your baby by taking oxycodone, and it very unlikely to cause any harm even if you take it right through your pregnancy. Some babies do withdraw following birth, and this shown by a period of increased crying and irritability. This hasn't been shown to cause any long-term harm to the baby and on your low dose of oxycodone, withdrawal is pretty unlikely anyway.

With this pregnancy I was drinking heavily and also taking medication (oxycodone) probably the first 3 or 4 weeks I had no clue I was pregnant. Im 35 almost 36 weeks and as far as I know and my doctor knows my baby is healthy. I had a detailed ultrasound at 20 weeks and they literally checked everything and he is fine.
With that being said, my family member decided to get off the pain pills and has been able to so far control her pain with diet and exercise. She lost a lot of weight, began eating healthy and exercising.
How old are you? How progressed is your disease? If you do decide to quit, I urge you to get with your pain management doctor to devise a taper plan and possibly try some non narcotic things to keep your pain under control.
hi Bobby....i have no experience with subs but i've heard they are harder to come off of than pain pills....idk....i guess it depends on the person....just wanted to lend my support and let you know you aren't alone....someone will come along and give you more info about the sub thing....just hang on...we want to help.
My question is this, if I have to choose between either being crazy and not sleeping, drinking heavily, or taking oxycodone, which is the best way for me to go. Here is a list of the things I've tried.
hypnosis, acupuncture, manipulation, herbal remedies, councilling, the Jasterboff program for treating tinnitus, neurofeedback and neuro-stimulation, hearing aids and probably some more I can't remember now. Too many ENT docs to list.
oh really yea and i also go to the gym and stay in the sauna for 10 min the last 2 days and tapering down 25 oxycodone sunday and 15 mg today but i dont wanna take anymore tmrw. but i only thing i feel is when i sleep i wake up with like my chest or heart poking? i dont really have aches or headaches yet idk would i get them?. usually when i WD i dont sweat or drink alot of fluids (quit) i just do more mgs. id do like average 75 mg oxycodone a day for llike 2 yrs .
I often wonder if its all just in my head lol even tho the withdrawals are very real. How could I take Percocet 7.5 for 10 years along with the other pills and never have an issue but I take oxycodone for 6 weeks and I'm a full blown addict.
he was on morphine for the 7 days he was in the hospital and has been on 1 oxycodone 10/325 every 4 hours for 3 weeks. he also was on coumadin for 16 days and had his last dose 6 days ago. he has cold sweats, back/ankle pain (but no knee pain!). is this oxycodone withdrawal and how long will it last?
I had my gallbladder removed Wednesday and have been on Oxycodone since Wednesday night. For some reason it started affecting my sleep yesterday. I tried laying down for a nap but could not sleep. I slept an hour or two last night. When I try to go to sleep my thoughts start racing and I just cant sleep. I really could use some sleep. Help.
Sorry I missed one part of your question. Backhurtz is correct that the doctor is giving you dilaudid to take instead of the Oxycodone. That being said, you might want to call and ask what he or she wants you to do if they were not clear about it. Most times when I change meds my doctor gives me a written plan that entails reducing the drug I was on while at the same time increasing the drug he now wants me to take until I am completely switched over to the new drug.
m so scared tOday I tried not taking any at all and It worked till about 4 this afternoon I started feeling the hot cold sweats and feeling very anxious I tried to just hang in there and not take any but I did and I just dont know where or how to get off of them. I researched rehab centers for pregnant women and found a few clinics I don't know if I should go there or just stop cold turkey like I tried. I have my first appointment with my ob on Tuesday and I plan on telling her everything.
u r taking 6 pills but 80 mg of oxycodone...percocet is oxycodone...i was at 80 mg of hydrocodone..considered to be a weaker narcotic..and i felt it when i quit...will not deny that....my friend has been sober for 5 years and she also quit the alcohol without a problem...narcotics was another story she said...have u ever tried to cut down or skip a dose? if u decide to try to u will see if u r addicted or not fairly fast...
They put me on Oxycodone for a while and they cut me off giving me severe withdrawl symptoms. The next day I called the dr and they put me on Vicidon (sp) and I overdosed alot trying to get rid of the pain so I have no more. Im scared of what these meds are doing to me . When I go into withdrawl i experence flu symptoms like stomach upset, vomiting, severe night sweats, chills, extreme pain,crying uncontrollably, extreme depression, feeling of doom, feeling of fever and hot and cold feelings.
ve suffered with chronic fatigue for the last 20 years, spent thousands on pills and potions but then I started having back pain and was given oxycodone. However this seems to help my fatigue and can be like a normal human with energy. I've had very bad days with oxycodone so wanted to know if there's something similar that I could take without having to use oxycodone? Or is it the oxycodone that's giving me the energy.
just the opiate and some other minor additives. For me there is no differnce between a 10mg oxycodone or a 10/500mg percocet even though they are both oxycodone.
So yeah.... a 5/500mg vicoden is probably down on the list where an 80mg oxycodone is at the top. It also depends on how many are prescribed at whatever time interval because most addicts do not stick to their presctiption such as myself.
I wonder if a semi synthetic pill like oxycodone, instead of codeine and morphine would be a better euphoriant for the dysphoria I feel inside from hurting piercings. Also I wonder if the poppy seed tea is adding to the hemorrhaging because of excess body fluids being pressurized into my body for later expelling. I bet a semi synthetic like oxycodone would be the best, maybe oxymorphone? Maybe if I make the poppy seed tea into a resin to take as a pill, that might help.
Not sure if you are talking about oxycontin or oxycodone pills in various mixes and forms. Either way, oxycontin and percoccet have the narcotic oxycodone in it. Oxycontin is pure oxycodone in a time release form while percoccet is a mix of oxycodone and another OTC pain reliever. Oxycodone is a stronger narcotic then the narcotic in vicodin which is hydrocodone. Both will cause WD. The WD from oxycodone was always much worse for me then hydrocodone but some say it's the same.
and they have prescribed him Oxycodone. Now, my husband can drink anywhere from a 12 pack to a case in one night and still function on a level where you would not know he is drunk. The problem that has now arisen is that he is mixing that large amount of alcohol with the Oxycodone pills - several. They are making him into a monster. This past Sunday, he drank a bottle of wine and several beers on top of who know how many Oxycodone pills.
