but i would like to share this with you
lamictal and trileptal do affect birth control pills and vise verse i.e. you can get pregnant using these as they reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills by 40%to 50% ,,,,,,,,,,also (which done me a great harm) the birth control pills reduce the effect of BP meds up to 50% also.
i read on some site (but i cannot remember which) that birth control pills can affect most of psychiatric meds.
I just started taking oxcarbazepine 9 days ago and I built up to 300 mg,no high not even close.Not like with other drugs like oxycontin, were with in 30 min you get a buzz.I guess you have to take higher doses if thats were you want to go,but I dont know.
With all 3 of those meds, and especially Oxcarbazepine, you can find discussions online about amenorrhea, which means your periods stop.
You might want to discuss this with your doctor, as websites suggest, if you're taking these medications and your menstrual period changes.

I am taking tablets for my minor neural problem for the past 4 years, The tablets i am consuming are Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) -300mg and Levetiracetam (keppra) -250mg. Now I am looking for a tablet which should have both of this content in the same. I feel guilty that I am taking more tablets and my health condition is improved now. so I planned to reduce my tablet dosage. so I look over this- i.e.
No drug can control seizures.In first step Doctors recognize seizures as gelastic type.At last they named it as Refrectory seizures.
Please suggest me any better options to stop seizures.
the doctor says that this is for better seizure control since eeg is abnormal but the eeg has been abnormal for the past 8 years then why now? i am all confused and when i told the doctor i will change medication only during vacation time so that i can moniter him. he said ok to that but since blood levels of valproic acid are 32 %(they have been 40% for past 8 years) i should increase the dose. all the literature i have read says that dosage is symptom related and not blood level related .
Hi i have been on birth control almost 6 months now. And i bleed for 2 weeks every period. The first week its just a brown mild red spotting because im still on birth control and then the second week when im on the brown pill is when i actually get the full on effect of my period. Today i got my period again and im still not done with my normal birth control so i decided to skip to the brown pills this week and start a new pack once my brown pills are done.
Can I get birth control without having an exam? I want birth control to regulate my period. I have never been sexually active but my period can go for 5-9 days not heavy or light flowing.
