Ovulation period of women

Common Questions and Answers about Ovulation period of women

Avatar n tn Ovulations usually occurs around day 14 of a 28 day cycle. You ovulate 14 days before your period. The first part of your cycle is what will vary. Your cycle starts the 1st day of your period. If your cycles are short by a couple of days, it would be around day 12 of your cycle or if it is long say 30 days long, it would be around day 16. Around cycle day (CD) 8 or 9, I start watching for signs.
Avatar f tn Here is how a woman's cycle works. Day one of your period is the first day of your cycle. The last day of your cycle is the day before your next period begins (determined by when it starts). You ovulate usually midway through and for most women, that is on day 14 or 15. so, AFTER your period.
644605 tn?1238357866 Most women ovulate within 10 days of taking their last pill. Good luck this month!
Avatar f tn Pain during your period has nothing to do with ovulation. Ovulation determines when we get our period. There are however, some women who get a 'period' but have not actually ovulated - it's called annovulatory cycles. Painful periods can be because of having PCOS. There is things that you can take to help with the pain.
Avatar f tn The average women will ovulate 14 days after the first day of her period but it is possible to ovulate at any point in your cycle.
Avatar f tn My period usually starts at the begining of the month around the 6th how long would my cycle be and when am I most fertile ?
Avatar n tn Hello today is day 1 of your cycle, most women ovulate around the 12th- 16 th days of your cycle. You need to work out how long your cycle is, note the first day of your period and how long it is until the next period. The average cycle is 28 days, so the ovulation would take place on day 14. Some people have cycles that are as little as 21, others 35 days.
Avatar n tn The way you track your cycle is to being counting on cycle day one which is the first day of your period. The last day of your cycle is the day before your next period begins (as determined by when it starts). If you count it/track it-- you may notice a regular pattern which gives you an idea of when you might be ovulating. With the average cycle length, women ovulate around day 14 but sperm can live up to five days prior to that.
Avatar n tn That's the time from when you ovulate to when you start your period. You don't always ovulate smack dab in the middle of your cycle. Some women with a 28 day cycle ovulate on CD14 (giving you a luteal phase of 14 days) while others can ovulate CD12 (giving you a luteal phase of days). It all depends on your cycle. So you may have a luteal phase of 10 days or longer. EWCM is a sign that you will ovulate (usually 12-24 hours before you ovulate).
Avatar m tn Good way to know that it has already happened (unless you are pregnant in which case the temp stays up . . . one of the ways I knew I was pregnant). Some women get a bit of cervical mucus that is thick. clear and stringy. And some women report that they have a side twinge, cramping when ovulating although I've never had that or know anyone other than those stories on the internet that has had this. There are ovulation kits you can buy to also indicate ovulation.
Avatar f tn Hi:) Ovulation can be calculated by starting with the day your last menstrual period (LMP) starts or by calculating 12-16 days from your next expected period. Most women ovulate anywhere between Day 11 - Day 21 of their cycle, counting from the first day of the LMP. The process can be confusing and somewhat overwhelming when trying to understand. You can use an ovulation kit or fertility monitor to maximize your chances and to confirm when your ovulation is occurring.
Avatar f tn For women with regular periods, ovulation usually occurs within 11-16 days after the first day of the menstrual period. Good luck!
Avatar f tn To understand why this is the case, there are things that you will need to understand about having a period, about when you ovulate, and about your monthly cycle in general. It is significant to consider the timing of ovulation. Ovulation occurs approximately 14 days prior to the start of the next period. This means, for example, if a woman has a regular 28-day cycle, that she will ovulate on or around day 14 of her cycle.
Avatar f tn Exactly 9 days after my period I had intercourse and according to my period/ovulation app I Ovulated the next day which is day 10 after my period and I had sex day 9. But still have discharge but am having cramps my breast aren't sore and I have no period symptoms like usually every month I do.
Avatar n tn Most women ovulate 14 days before the start of their next period. Some women have no signs or symptoms at all, but most will have a thicker, stretchier clear discharge just prior to. Other then that, the only way to know for certain is medical testing. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Ovulation is at the mid-point of the cycle, halfway between the first day of the old period and the first day of the new period.
Avatar f tn Even though i've been missing my period every month since April of this year, could i still produce eggs?
Avatar f tn Vaginal discharge becomes more watery and increases in quantity during ovulation. Other tests to determine ovulation are ovulation predictor kits and ovulation calendars. Visit a gynecologist for more queries and assistance. Keep me posted. Best luck and regards!
332176 tn?1220545562 I get sore BBs right after ovulation, but I've heard of women who get it as they are O'ing. As for being nauseous, I'm not sure, but a couple of month's ago, I was extremely dizzy when I was O'ing.
534975 tn?1224156062 Not everyone ovulates 14 days after the first day of their period. In fact, it's the opposite. You will ovulate about 14 days BEFORE the next period. Hope that helps.
1380252 tn?1279896399 Women ovulate about 14 days BEFORE the start of their next period, but it can vary each month either plus or minus a few days. Some women have shorter or longer luteal phases (the time between ovulation and the next period), which can cause problems with conceiving. You can tell when you're going to ovulate by an increase in cervical discharge, that looks like an egg white, stretchy and clear.
Avatar n tn I got my period on march 15. as of today, I haven't detected the LH surge using the ovulation kits. I am worrying that maybe I am having an anovulatory cycle. When should I expect to see the LH surge? Please help.
Avatar n tn You can also do ovulation predictors, but are going to have to wait for that first period to start those. Some women DO conceive without ever having a period, so if it has been awhile and you are feeling funny, keep that in mind! Good luck!
Avatar f tn Day one of your period is the first day of your cycle. It lasts until the day before your next period (which you know exactly when that is WHEN you get your period). Most women ovulate mid way through and on day 14 on average. good luck PS: they also sell ovulation kits to help you find that small window that you are ovulating.
Avatar n tn Last month was 38 days. How can I know my exact days of ovulation?.anybody recommend anything fo make my period regular? Thanks for your help.
Avatar f tn couple of days before ovulation, the ovulation day and the day after ovulation are the most probable days for conceiving. Hope that helps.
Avatar n tn you can figure out when you expect your next period and then count back 14 days to mid cycle, so day 16 of your cycle would be closer to your day. this is because ovulation (the release of the egg) is what prompts your period. most women have a 28 day cycle and ovulate on day 14 and that is why most people say day 14 cause its right in the middle there for them. but! seems to me that after 4 years you probably don't have a regular cycle.
