Avatar m tn To treat Chlamydia and Enterococcus my doctor is treating me with antibiotic infusions (as this is not the first treatment, the first time treatment was peroral). After 10 days of infusions, he is making 3 injections with antibiotics directly in the prostate. It's one injection per week. Could you please give me any opinion on such injections ? Is this a normal/good treatment ?

82861 tn?1333453911 I know these products have been mentioned here in the past, but I can't remember the names! My sister's dog freaks out every time she gets inside the vet clinic. Going there and getting in the door is no problem, but once she's inside she's a shaking, crying mess. Can someone remind me what calming meds are available in pet stores? I'm getting way too old...
5079728 tn?1365549989 You should clear any over the counter medication with your doctor before taking it. Also, keep in mind that many over the counter medications contain Tylenol so that people often accidentally take much more Tylenol than they realize. Always read the labels and know the various names for Tylenol.
765828 tn?1306263868 , there could be a serious reason why this is happening, i dont mean to scare you, it could be that you are constipated and pushing to much, but if the bowl is filled up, i would call your doctor right away, and this way, they can rule out different causes and hopefully get to the problem, i wouldnt take anything over the counter until i was seen by a doctor, good luck, let us know how you make out.
Avatar f tn yes yes, I am clean from Vicoden, Antidepresants but still am using a sleep aid, have been using over the counter meds for sleep since the 80's then went to prescription sleep aid and now I only sleep 3 or 4 hours using them. I am going to go off them soon. My Dr would like to see me wait until Jan just because I came off two meds this year and had surgery's but please don't go to prescription sleep aids I think it is harder to get off them than OCT.

Avatar m tn Look up the ingredients in the Thomas recipe. It seems it helps a lot of people. Soaking in hot baths with Epsom salts will help tremendously with RLS. Also there.s a product called Restful Legs bt Hyland's. Tonic water with quinine, as well as bananas and orange juice all have potassium which will helo the restless legs. Make sure to drink plenty and eat watever you can keep down. Melatonin or Alteril can help with the sleep issues.
4371309 tn?1357956329 My Dr at Kaiser said that the OTC and the ones they prescribe are the same. I didn't argue with her since she has the degree and just bough some from the pharmacy. When ever your next visit is with your OB check with her/him.
Avatar f tn The tests (which I remember as well) were to see if a person had the potential signs of tb. I am not sure if there is a vaccination for it but when there isn't a vaccine if a disease is prevalent enough (which was not the case up until recently with tb due to preventative health means antibiotics) often tests are done to make sure it isn't occur when in the early stages its far more treatable.
Avatar f tn It could be a throat infection, if that's the case over the counter meds won't fix the problem. she will need to see a doctor and be prescribed some antibiotics to fight off the infection. Once she starts taking the antibiotics she will feel better after 2-3 days but that doesn't mean stop taking the antibiotics she must go through with the whole treatment or the infection will just come back stronger then before and she will then have to get even stronger antibiotics to treat her.
Avatar f tn The Vet offered a perscription, but I would like to try something over the counter first. Can I give him aspirin or would it hurt me? Any advise would be appreciated.
5591135 tn?1380168056 several times thru the night he was in the box scratching and even howling. He is at the Vet.I probably wont be able to get him until tomm. I have been stalking them most of the day-I had to leave for a while. Its hard to tell with Beener sometimes cuz he randomly howls anyways. Also the puppy we have has special food-sweet potato and salmon meal & I have caught them eating it a few times also. All the older boys are on prescription wet/dry food.
Avatar n tn There shouldn't be any chemical reactions taking the two together. The combination will not give the methadone a boost or cause any kind of "high".
6965936 tn?1394227011 I'm so bloated and swelled from walking around yesterday. Can I buy and use over the counter water pills? My next appt isn't for another week. ..
Avatar f tn Is it possible to become addicted to over the counter medications? My 75 year old mother recently moved to my town so that I could help her financially, etc. I have become very concerned about the amount of excederine, prilosec, nasal spray, aleve, and other antacid medicines that she takes. She has a history of bleeding ulcers, she smokes about 2 packs of cigarettes a week, high blood pressure, and other ailments of old age. I didn't realize that she was taking so much of this medicine.
