Avatar f tn I do have a history of endometriosis and hemorhhagic cyst. My question is can you get ovarian cyst while you are breastfeeding and ha my cycles are not yet back. I am having severe back pain , legs pain ,nausea on and off, fatigue and bloated.
Avatar f tn About 4 yrs ago, I went through infertility treatments, and as a result, had several ovarian cysts, which resolved itself. Baby #2 is now 6 mos old (no fertility treatment needed... go figure!). With this baby, I've been breastfeeding her almost exclusively. I say "almost", because we do supplement with formula as I am not able to pump enough during the day at work to get enough to fill her up.
Avatar f tn Has anyone got any experience with endometriosis while breastfeeding? I didn't really know what it was but now ive read something on it and I'm really concerned. I have been displaying symptoms before my kids but since my second have got so much worse. I am yet to have a period but I'm constantly in agony with my lower belly area, back, legs and headache.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst on my right ovary a few days ago, with all the classic symptoms. But I was wondering if breast tenderness is a symtpom. They are full, encorged and very tender to the touch. They feel like when I would go too long and needed to pump when I was breastfeeding my daughter. They also get very hot, burning feeling at times. Is this part of having an ovarian cysts?
Avatar n tn Your cysts are small and can definitely cause pain. More than likely, they are functional cysts; however, you do have a history with your grandmother's ovarian cancer. I would ask your doctor about watching the cysts closely and monitoring symptoms. If you feel especially anxious, I would suggest getting a 2nd opinion. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Are yu planning on breastfeeding because some bc isn't supposed to be taken while bf...I plan on using the ortho evra patch it seems convenient because I dont have to remember to take it everyday...
Avatar f tn I started the pill 6 wks after I had my daughter an it gave me horrible headaches which I weird because I was on it for 6 years before I had my daughter so then I tried the IUD an it gave me ovarian cysts so I went without...
Avatar f tn I have been passing some large blood clots so far in this pregnancy but yesterday baby was fine size, healthy heartbeat etc. Has anyone else had bleeding related to ovarian cysts?
168348 tn?1379357075 Hello, I understand this was posted a while ago, but I was wondering if you ever figured out anything. I have 2 ovarian cysts (at the moment) and kidney stones (mine, too, stay in the kidney!) and i get very very sick and the pain gets so bad sometimes that all i want to do is sleep to pass the time, but sometimes i can't even sleep. the pain is the worst before menstruation. i'm 15 so it's hard to deal with the pain when i'm trying to do well in school.
Avatar f tn Polycystic ovaries can be misinterpreted as complex cysts. The reason for this is that the cysts in PCOS are a cluster of simple cysts that can give the appearance on imaging as one (larger) cyst with septations. However, most ovarian cysts, tumors and masses are benign / non-cancerous. Ovarian cancer is rare but, sadly, typically has a poor prognosis mainly because it isn't diagnosed early.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had an ovarian cyst while pregnant? Were there any issues? I am prone to cysts and have had surgery to remove a large cyst before. I am 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow and i had and ultrasound on friday and the tech told me there was a cyst on my ovary near the tube but it was small. Didnt surprise me.
Avatar f tn HI, Even though you may not want any more children, you are too young for a hysterectomy. The bleeding can be stopped with help of haemostatic medicines and with use of hormones like progestins. Also a D&C may sometimes be necessary to stop the bleeding. The ovarian cysts need further evaluation regarding their size and nature. Many of the cysts in young women respond to birth control pills or regress spontaneously. Hence it would be best to consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation.
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts can cause ovarian enlargement and the majority of ovarian cysts are benign. Did you have a scan to determine if you have visible cysts? Most cysts go away on their own. If this persists for you, you may want to talk to you doctor about the possibility of your having an underlying condition like PCOS or endometriosis. But, even with these conditions, the majority of women are still able to conceive.
Avatar n tn What is the difference between ovarian cysts and ovarian cancer. I haven't had a period for 3 months now and I have a sharp pain in my lower right side, as well as back pain, especially in the mornings. once in a while i am off balance when walking. i am bloated, and a lot of times i don't have an appetite.
Avatar f tn There are still a lot of possibilities to get your own genetic child having one ovary left. If you develop cysts during pregnancy or other significant big cysts that treathen your ovary , gyanecologist can remove them via laparotomy or punction.
Avatar f tn Good afternoon. I just stumbled across this site after googling ‘ovarian cysts‘. I wondered if anyone out there has ever been in my (worrying) situation. I am 27 years old, a mummy to a beautiful 2 year old and 12 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I had an emergency scan around 6 weeks into this pregnancy due to pain on my right side. My GP feared an ectopic pregnancy. To my relief baby was fine. However, an 8cm side was found on my right ovary with a daughter cyst inside.
Avatar f tn Any mom's have experiences with ovarian cysts during pregnancy? I haven't been diagnosed with an ultrasound yet but with my signs and symptoms I'm pretty sure I have one. I get stabbing pain in the same spot, near my right ovary a few times each day with certain movements and activities. 5 weeks tomorrow but I had the pain long before I was pregnant. From what I read they're fairly normal and insignificant?
Avatar f tn t know for certain but I developed some small cysts after breastfeeding for 14 months. We had been trying to conceive with no luck for four months when I felt two of them burst (I don't know if there are any more as I did not have an u/s). That was last month, this cycle I think that we did conceive, but won't be sure for another couple of days.
1427674 tn?1283107458 Some ovarian cysts are hormonally active and result in pseudopuberty (early physical signs of puberty) In girls with hormonally active cysts, the ovarian enlargement may be mistaken for an ovarian tumor, leading to unnecessary(surgery) . Girls presenting with premature vaginal bleeding and ovarian enlargement should be genetically evaluated An ovarian cyst in a toddler/young child is often discovered by a Dr.
Avatar f tn I have been having lower abdomen problems (burning constantly) for about a year. I have been seeing a Gastroenterologist and have numerous test done and have been diagnosed with GERD and Barretts Esophagus and IBS. I take medication and watch what I eat but nothing helps. I had a CT Scan for these problems and it showed a cystic mass on my ovary so I had to go to my Gyn and had a Pelvic Sonogram. I have read that sometimes Ovarian Cancer can have the same symptoms as these other problems.
1697367 tn?1306700619 I have had the same scenario while dealing with my two, complex cysts. I have not started BC yet, but my gyno gave me Safyral to start during my next cycle. Everyone is right also- your body takes time to adjust to the pills. A good three months to fully adjust is usually normal. Did you start the pills on the Sunday of your cycle or did you start right away? That could affect your body adjusting also..
Avatar f tn I am sorry you are dealing with this. The good thing is that most ovarian cysts are benign and most resolve on their own. However, these sound like the type that do not go away so need to be surgically removed especially the larger one due to size. According to radiology websites, hypoechoic cysts are usually endometriomas or teratomas (dermoids) both of which are benign (non-cancerous) cysts. Of course, imaging is not exact so they cannot know for sure until they do surgery.
