Avatar n tn I think possibliy you mean ovarian cysts instead of ovarian fibriods as fibriods are assoicated with the Uterus and ovarian cysts are associated with the ovaries.
Avatar f tn Sometimes it is to early to see the baby & heartbeat. Are you scheduled for another ultrasound in a week or two? I was in total shock when I found out i was pregnant. I also had an ovarian cyst a couple years before this 1st pregnancy. Hang in there & see what happens at your next u/s! I know it can be stressful & heartbreaking but don't give up hope!
Avatar f tn Hi - First, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Second, YES! You can definitely have a baby while having an ovarian cyst. I went to the ER at 6 weeks for pain (the doctor was concerned it could be an ectopic pregnancy) so I had an ultrasound and it revealed I had a 6cm ovarian cyst. It was later deemed to be "para-ovarian" (just means it was next to the ovary, not *on* it) but still - I was able to go to a full 41 weeks before delivery a healthy baby boy.
Avatar f tn It is very common to have ovarian cysts during the first trimester and some even go until after the birth of your child. Most cysts do not cause harm to the baby or pregnancy, and almost 100% of women with an ovarian cyst can go on to having a full term pregnancy and healthy baby.
Avatar n tn Just as most ovarian cysts are benign so are most para-ovarian cysts. From what I have read, they don't usually need intervention / surgery. They look for the presence of free fluid (in the pelvis) as one of the traits that may be indicative of cancer. The fact that there is "no free fluid" is good. Hopefully, your doctor will explain this to you.
Avatar f tn Hello! I found this website on ovarian cysts, I hope you find it helpful...although I couldn't find any specific info on how/if ovarian cysts can hinder the ability to become pregnant. From my own experience, my first pregnancy detected a cyst on my left ovary. My OB said this was the ovary my egg attached too. Later in my pregnancy the cyst disappeared, this is very common.
367100 tn?1330914725 I had them before i got pregnant and i now have a small pregnancy cysts on my right ovary. The pregnancy cysts are nothing to worry about and should go at some point so my doctor said they sometimes get bigger or smaller but they are quite common when you are pregnant. Please read the info i found on the net for you:- Many women go for a routine ultrasound or pelvic examination early in their pregnancy and come away with the surprise finding of an ovarian cyst.
Avatar f tn Any mom's have experiences with ovarian cysts during pregnancy? I haven't been diagnosed with an ultrasound yet but with my signs and symptoms I'm pretty sure I have one. I get stabbing pain in the same spot, near my right ovary a few times each day with certain movements and activities. 5 weeks tomorrow but I had the pain long before I was pregnant. From what I read they're fairly normal and insignificant?

1131112 tn?1321040173 I know that many women get married with ovarian cysts and with only one ovary. Sometimes having an ovarian cyst may throw your hormones off and cause problems with your period. You best bet would be to see your gynecologist and sit down and have a long talk with him/her. Hopefully someone who has more experience with PCOS will come along and be able to give you more advice. Good luck!! Prayers!
Avatar f tn I'm 35 weeks, full term, and have ovarian cysts on both sides. I know the feeling whenshe moves and hits them or puts pressure on one. it really does suck. but your doctor should be monitoring the cysts with every ultrasound. The cysts make you a high risk pregnancy. I can't tell you yet about complications. I have been told there shouldn't be a complication, but it's a case by case thing.
Avatar f tn 1. Two left ovarian cysts are now present. The dominant one measures up to 3.4 cm in size. It is minimally smaller than on previous study of 1/18/08 but continued follow-up ultrasound is requested as detailed above. 2. Uterine leiomyomatous disease suggested. IUD in uterus. This is what the 3rd one (May) said: Findings: The uterus measures 8.8 x 4.7 x 5.5 cm in dimension. Within the uterine fundus in the interstitium of the myometrium there is a hyperechoic lesion which measures 1.1 x 1.
Avatar m tn HI, Delayed cycles can cause difficulty in achieving a pregnancy. This is because the underlying cause of delayed cycles can be hormonal issues, PCOS, ovarian cysts etc. Hence a thorough evaluation by a gynaecologist is necessary to find out the problem. Also hormonal assay and an ultrasound scan may be necessary to find out the problem. The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations.
Avatar f tn I had an ovarian cyst on left ovary in January, 2010 which prompted her to perform another ultrasound yesterday;it showed the cyst had grown; she also ordered the CA125 blood test; I won't find out anything until Tuesday, March 16, 2010; I missed my period for the first time ever in February, other than during pregnancy; for the past few months I have had unexplained lower back pain and my internist referred me to a spinal specialist.
Avatar n tn but I was worried about being pregnant. I have ovarian cysts also. I waited to see if my period comes or not. which was due on 24th-june. but suprisely I went to the gym on 9th-june and after one hour I had a sharp pain and sever heavy vaginal bleeing with clots for 5 days. then stoped and I went again to the gym and I had again the same but lasted only few hours. On 21-june a went to take a blood pregancny test with ultrasound and it was negative for pregnancy.
Avatar m tn I am sorry to hear about your fiancee. It is hard to deal with cysts. Ovarian cysts are very common and many women get them again and again throughout their lifetime. I am not sure why her doctors are advising her to wait so long to conceive. She should ask them the reason. Usually, ovarian cysts are removed without cutting into the uterus. So, having a vaginal birth is not considered risky if you have only had a pelvic surgery and not a uterine cut.
1148191 tn?1271817646 I ovulated around the 1st of March, for a week after that I had dull cramping in my left side and than 7 days later i started getting what felt like period cramps. I went to the doctors and come to find out I have a cyst on my ovary, my question is I still think I might be pregnant, just how common are ovarian cysts in early pregnancy and is it possible that if I'm having pregnancy symptoms that I could still be pregnant.
Avatar f tn m thinking it could be an ovarian cyst?? Any thoughts? An eptopic pregnancy would be in the tube right?? Thanks for any advice!
Avatar f tn Many benign conditions can cause elevations of the CA 125 level, including chest and abdominal infections, pregnancy, endometriosis, benign ovarian cysts, uterine fibroid, pancreatitis, normal menstruation, pelvic inflammatory disease, and liver disease. I don't know what caused the doctor to order CA-125 test, especially if you had a clear ultrasound. Do you think any of the benign conditions listed above could be a cause? Are you being treated for any condition at present?
Avatar f tn Hey. I was kinda ( i never went to get the ultrasound done) with ovarian cysts last year. My doctor put me on birth control. A little over two weeks ago my boyfriend came inside of me. Since last Wednesday I have been having headaches, lower backaches, nausea, gas, and I've been tired a lot. My doctor did a pregnancy test, but it was negative. Could I still be pregnant? Even with the birth control and cysts?
Avatar n tn I have a friend who is very slim and her she has struggled with multiple ovarian cysts. You can see them on her like you are describing. So, my bet is that it is a cyst. Most cysts turn out to be benign and go away on their own over time. But, the ultrasound is the best next step to see what is happening. I don't think you would see an ectopic prenancy like that. Your fallopian tube would have ruptured with an ectopic before you would be able to see it visibly.
Avatar f tn I only assume I have PCOS because my hormones are out of whack and I have ovarian cysts. My symptoms have been going on for 10+ years and no doctor ever diagnosed me with this condition or even mentioned it. I have been struggling for the last 2+ years with severe health problems and was recently diagnosed with insulin resistance (metabolic syndrome). Make sure your doctor is very informative about this condition. Ask lots of questions.
3100626 tn?1341387176 IBS pain can often feel like gynecologic pain or ovarian cyst/fibroid pain so is often confused with these problems. However, if your recent ultrasound didn't find any ovarian cysts or problems with the ovaries or tubes, then your pain may be more related to the bowel than the ovaries. You still should continue to see your gynecologist to follow this and be sure. Furthermore, you should consider seeing a gastroenterologist as well as they are physicians that can help with bowels.
Avatar f tn I have a cyst on my right ovary. Im currently 5w4d in my first pregnancy. Could cysts pose any rick to the baby? Im probably worried about nothing but its a scary thing when you don't know..
