473760 tn?1215219977 I know cysts are caused by many different things, but it just seems odd to me that it occured after starting the Lamictal. Does anyone know if this can cause ovarian cysts? I know that the pharmacists and most of the doctors I have talked to say no, but I also know that sometimes people notice side effects that neither seem to know about. The med has been doing wonders, but I'm worried a little about continuing it. Thanks for any advice you have.
Avatar m tn m not sure what the connection would be b/n liver enzymes and ovarian cysts. Never heard of it. Ovarian cysts are not unusual and generally go away on their own. For now, focus on getting your Hep B under control and then deal with the ovaries if need be. Your viral load is completely possible, its a number that can go into the billions and given your very high ALT, I find the viral load believable. Please update us.

618913 tn?1234747600 Hello, I have the Implanon in my arm. I have tried many types of birth control. Had to go off of the pill because of a medication I was on for migraines. I tried merina and ended up with chronic ovarian cysts. Apparently my mom had then frequently but didn't tell me so I didn't think of it being an issue for me as a side effect. I have had the Implanon in for almost a year. I have gained 30 pounds, haven't had a cycle in 5 or 6 months.
Avatar n tn The treatment requires close medical supervision by a dermatologist because the drug has many known side effects (many of which can be severe). About 25% of patients may relapse after one treatment. In those cases, a second treatment for another 4-6 months may be indicated to obtain desired results.
Avatar f tn Hi, Sorry, I don't know much about the "Mirena".. What does your Dr. say about the cysts? How were they found? You might check out the top right of this page "Health Pages" . It has a lot of information about Ovarian Cysts. Cysts are very common in younger women, but you must ask the Dr. about the IUD /Mirena. I truly have no idea about that.
Avatar n tn I think I would call your Dr., and tell him or her the same thing you told us. Cysts can and do sometimes last a few months . Since you have the diagnosis, I'd ask what the suggested treatment plan is ..I have no idea what type of IUD you have, but one that I've seen advertised on TV clearly states that ovarian cysts are a side affect, that will disappear.. otherwise I'm sorry I can't be more helpful..
Avatar n tn Doc said my daughter can continue with her normal life because this don’t have any side effects to her or nothing to worry about it. Can it possibly just go away without surgery? I am terrified of future problems. He has headaches only occasionally. I don't want this cyst diagnosis to cause my son to miss out on a happy life.

1872158 tn?1320302628 Hello Indah I am actually 14 years old and I have been dealing with ovarian cysts since I was 10 years old. There is no real cure for ovarian cysts but waiting it out until they naturally burst which can be very very painful. There are some solutions to it, doctors say for females the cysts occur because of our monthly cycle, its never too late to take birth control which is one of the solutions to cysts but it all depends on the person.
Avatar f tn I too can relate to everything you are feeling. Here is a little bit of my history http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Polycystic-Ovarian-Syndrome-PCOS/I-want-to-scream/show/944715 I don't have any answers for you-but I also have the sciatic pain. It used to be only on the right side (I do have a herniated disc to the right) but lately it is on the left more. This always coincides with ovarian pain as well.
Avatar m tn I recently read that one of the side effects of circumcision is meatal stenosis and that uncircumcised men don't suffer from it. Is that correct? Also, would this side effect occur if a male had a frenoplasty? Do any of the other side effects of circumcision apply to a frenoplasty?
