Avatar f tn Hi I just wondered if anybody has had a ovarian cyst and treated it with natural herbs instead of surgery. I was looking for an alternative method on internet and came a across a website called ****************.com that sold ovarian cysts kit and was wondering if anybody has tried it and what the outcome was.
1340383 tn?1309990914 I am trying to explore natural remedies for healing ovarian cysts..I have one (2.6 cm by 3.4 cm) on my left ovary and my Dr is suggesting birth control pills.. anyone heard of any herbs or food items to shrink cysts? Thanks!!
Avatar f tn I suffed from ovarian cysts since I was 14.. I'm 34 now and have just been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome.. though I haven't had a cyst that has caused me pain or discomfort in years.. The best thing to help combat and minimize the occurrence and severity of an ovarian cyst I found was exercise!! The release of serotonin somehow helps.. but I've become an avid Zumba goer and not only did it keep the cysts at bay, but it's a lot of fun..
Avatar n tn D and C or ablation is done for heavy periods resulting from endometrial hyperplasia and not for ovarian cysts. If you want to go the natural way then you can wait for a spontaneous regression of the ovarian cyst. This will require follow up with frequent ultrasound scans. Hope this helps. Take care and good luck.

222322 tn?1271022838 Okay, so I am not new to Medhelp or to ovarian cysts, but I am new to this community. I originally joined the OVCA community in 2006 as GlendaS. I got a new email address and had to change it to my current name. I was dx with Immature Teratoma & had a RSO in Oct. 2005. I had a cystectomy (benign) at the end of March 2007. I have had other cysts that have dissolved on their own before.
Avatar m tn My girlfriend has been complaining of abdominal pain for about 8 months or so now. During that time she has had two ultrasounds and both have confirmed the existence of ovarian cysts (although the first was on the left side and the second was on the right side).
Avatar m tn If your not having pain and symptoms from the endo that lessen your quality of life I would just focus on getting rid of the cyst. Trying Bcp to get rid of the cyst is what I've done. I also have had two ovarian cysts removed surgically. Acupuncture is sometimes helpful with the Bcp (birth control pills) along with supplements/herbs they sometimes give. Get a second opinion if your dr is pushing a surgery you know you are not ready to have.
Avatar f tn Sorry for my delayed response. I am not aware of any natural remedies for ovarian cysts although that doesn't mean there aren't any. Since your MRI was scheduled for today, I suppose you are still waiting on the results from your doctor. I am interested to hear what it showed.
Avatar f tn Bilateral Ovarian Endometriotic cyst means you have chocolate cysts in both of your ovaries which is a sign of Endometriosis. I have heard before that if you have Endometriotic cysts it could mean that you have deep infiltrating endometriosis. Have you ever been told you have Endometriosis? Do you have pain during sex? Periods? Bowel movements ? etc? hetrogenous myometrial texture means it is possible that you have Adenomyosis as your uterus is not its natural form. Do you have heavy bleeding?
Avatar n tn I've read that drugs like clomid will make ovarian cysts worse, did you find this to be true? My RE says that clomid won't help me at all.

Avatar f tn William Parker who uses organ-sparing procedures says that post-menopausal ovarian cysts are more common than many realize and MOST of these cysts are benign (just as they are in premenopausal women) and do not require removal of ovary(ies) IF you have the right doctor.
Avatar f tn I had 5 lg ovarian cysts that my dr. (OBGYN fertility) wanted to surgically remove from my uterus. I had a friend tell me about CASTER OIL as a remedy for naturally removing the cysts by using "cold pressed caster oil compresses". I tried this and it worked !!!- it actually removed all 5 of my cysts!! Now my doctor is upset with me. Saying it's not safe. Really and surgery is?? People have use caster oil since Before Christ. Why is this not safe?
Avatar f tn I am sorry you are going through this. I had an ovarian cyst and wish my gynecologist had taken a conservative approach. Instead, I was rushed into surgery and over-treated. Scar tissue is a real risk. And there are other risks such as losing the ovaries and their life-long vital functions. Or even if the ovaries are not removed, the surgery could affect their function.
Avatar f tn s been 4 months since i started my treatment, but the problem is that i have developed twice during this period ovarian cysts 3-5 cm, which cause me great pain. My doctor insists that visanne should prevent me from developing ovarian cysts, and every time this happens i have to take for 20 days secondary progesterone. So my question is should i look for somethng else? Maybe my thiroid or any other hormones that could cause ovarian cysts?
Avatar m tn So a CA125 I wish they had been with me. I had ovarian cysts on both ovaries and my doctor did not tell me for years. She figured it was PCOS. She did not do a CA 125. Several years later and being really sick I went into her partner who did an ultrasound. I was full of cancer. Things would be so different if they had caught it years earlier. I have the BRCA mutation which means I make cancer tumors. That I also did not find out until I had cancer.
Avatar f tn Hi , this is the ovarian cancer forum for women diagnosed or fighting ovarian cancer, Im afraid none of us on here can answer what type of treatment she will have as we are not medical professionals . If you have any questions relating to ovarian cysts there is a very good forum where you will find a lot of information and some very nice ladies with experience of cysts who will try to help you .
682122 tn?1233186551 Ovarian cysts are mostly benign, but there are riskier in older women. From what I have been told, in the case of older women, they might remove the whole ovary to avoid regrowth of the cyst. If discovered to be cancerous, they will remove both oavaries and fallopian tubes. It also depends on what type of cyst you have. Were you told? Talk to your doctor about how he/she plans on approaching this. Good luck!
Avatar n tn I have been suffering from Ovarian Cysts since I was 16 years old and I am 32 now. I had an oophorectomy at age 16 of the right side. I have two beautiful children but cannot get an acceptable quality of life because of these no warning episodes. Do you know of a natural remedy that I can use to eliminate and prevent future cysts from forming? My frequency is about 2 to 3 times a year.
Avatar n tn Cysts in or around the ovaries may be a sign of a number of things, including but not limited to PCOS. I also have cysts around my ovaries and was diagnosed with multicystic ovarian syndrome. My OBGYN is one of the top docs in Chicago and has practiced for 30+ years. So, basically, he's seen it all. Please note, multicystic ovarian syndrome is different than polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Avatar f tn My doctor said that I developed some small ovarian cysts because I breastfed, and consequently didn't ovulate, for so long. This was four months ago, oh yeah we're also trying to conceive again, I am still having symptoms (pain during sex) though I'm pretty sure I had two of them burst, and still not pregnant. Has anyone else had this problem of developing ovarian cysts and have trouble conceiving after breastfeeding?
