Avatar m tn As the other poster said, larger ovarian cysts can cause urinary urgency. So can large uterine fibroids. Most cysts go away on their own within 2 or 3 cycles so I would not worry much unless your symptoms worsen especially if you start having pain which could be a sign of the cyst rupturing, leaking, or twisting the ovary. Since most cysts resolve on there own, there should not be any impact on fertility.
Avatar n tn The bleeding is definitely of concern. Bowel and urine and pain and bloating are all common cyst symptoms. When is your surgery scheduled? there are a lot of questions you need to ask and a 2nd opinion might be valuable.
Avatar f tn What is the symptoms of ovarian cysts? i'm having a scan next week on my ovary's because the doctor wants to test for them.
Avatar f tn However, the bloating feeling and the fatigue and the recurrent loose stools, made me feel concerned about ovarian cancer. My cycle is regular but I experienced some blood in my urine, which made think that it was due to the UTI. What kind of exams should I ask to my Ginecologist?
Avatar f tn suggested you do ? Ovarian Cysts and ovarian cancer can cause many similar symptoms. There is absolutely no way to tell for certain unless and until surgery is performed and the path results come back. Having said that, cysts are very very common and 95% benign. The best course of action is to speak with your physician to see what his recommended course of action is. They may possibly suggest removal, but sometimes, they prefer to wait awhile to see if they resolve themselves.
Avatar f tn I'm not an expert but it does look like she has two ovarian cysts with one being a dermoid cyst. These can cause a lot of symptoms and hopefully she is now set to get this dealt with. Do take a look at the health pages (top right) for info on types of cysts and symptoms. In her case it is likely they will use a laparoscope and remove the cysts. What did they say the next steps were? It is likely that MedHelp will move your posting to the Ovarian Cyst forum.
Avatar m tn Erm I just got told hemaroid? I think! They're not doing anything apart from monitoring it but I can't explain the horrendous pain I'm in when I get one if my pains! It needs sorting but I don't know what todo next!
Avatar f tn i am getting tired of being fobbed off by my own GP and would like to know if these are possible symptoms of ovarian cysts ....and how do I approach my GP and ask for a proper examination / scan to determine it???...it is really getting me down....thanks for your patience!
Avatar m tn e. protein in urine and all that stuff, so that rules out all infections, and i thought maybe my symptoms were due to pregnancy, but i am not pregnant anymore, and the symptoms still remain. The bloating/constipation actually seemed to subside during my pregnancy, but since i miscarried it has come back.
Avatar f tn Is it possible that the cancer has returned? Could it be Ovarian remnant Syndrome? The only symptoms I seem to have is mild pelvic discomfort (I sometimes feel that I am ovulating but I know I can't) and microscopic blood in my urine. Any help or advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.
198460 tn?1264872267 I'm new to all of this, but I think I have blood in my urine, too. Not every time, but some of the time. I have multiple cysts on my left ovary and am scheduled for surgery (possible hysterectomy) in about 2 weeks. Dr. thinks I have endometriosis, too. I noticed I also have blood in my urine when I have a bowel movement...I'm assuming it's related to the cysts but not sure!? Does your cyst hurt you any? Do you know what kind it is or how big it is?
Avatar n tn Hi, I have a couple of questions about ovarian cyst symptoms. Do ovarian cysts cause mid cycle spotting and lower back pain? And if so how common are these symptoms?

Avatar f tn benign epithelial and functional ovarian cysts, hemorrhagic ovarian cysts, endometriosis, dermoid cysts (benign teratomas), ovarian fibroids, uterine fibroids, fimbrial cysts, hydrosalpinges (swollen, fluid-filled faloppian tubes), pelvic abscesses, pelvic adhesions, bowel adhesions and adenomyosis.” I am sure once the CA125 results come your doctor will do a more rigorous follow up. Please refer: http://www.wdxcyber.com/ncanc08.htm However it is difficult to diagnose without examining.
Avatar f tn Do ovarian cyst symptoms and ovarian cancer symptoms look the same? I ask because I have the following: -gas -bloat/distended stomach -pressure -changes in BM's (constipation and diarrhea) -get full easily after eating -tired/fatigues -heartburn/indigestion -changes in menstruation Thank you.
Avatar n tn Been experiencing low back pain, discomfort in lower abdomen, similar to period pain although I have no womb, and also need to pass urine more frequently. Is it possible ovarian cancer could be the problem?
1324051 tn?1275414812 ve had a transvaginal ultrasound that showed 2 functional cysts and what appeared to be a ruptured cyst, though I never felt any great discomfort from that (unless the uti symptoms were that). Maybe I had a uti and coincidentally my ovarian cysts started causing issues at the same time? Anyway, it's been a month and a half and I still feel vague pelvic discomfort, like below my pubic hair line. It sort of feels like burning sometimes and it comes and goes, doesn't affect my sleep.
256161 tn?1196879046 I know lyme causes all kinds of different cysts. I'm not sure about the ovarian cysts though as they are quite common in women in general. Flagyl is a cyst buster so if you have lyme you may feel the herx reaction.
Avatar f tn You might want to read in the ovarian cancer forum for general information. From what I've read, less than 3-5% of ovarian cysts are malignant. Age is a factor (more cancer as we get older), as is having had children (less cancer if you've had kids), and maybe being on birth control for some time? My cyst was discovered in an ultrasound, not a CT scan; did they say if it's complex or septated?
