Avatar f tn CT SCAN report states following mesentric lymph nodes , complex ovarian cyst on right ovary , & hepatomegaly 1)DOES this report has any serious issue? 2)Does anything in this belongs to tuberculosis?
Avatar n tn It did get somewhat smaller as my cysts resolved. I have also noticed enlarged lymph nodes when I had cysts before. I asked the GP, my OB/GYN, and the surgeon if they could be related to the cysts and none of them thought so. However, my personal experience leads me to believe that they are. I wonder if the immune system in some people just reacts that way to ovarian cysts. It certainly seemd to be the case with me. I wish you the best of luck on your path report!
1054801 tn?1327948399 masses that are larger than 5cm, masses that are complex (have solid parts), and other indications of malignancy such as enlarged lymph nodes or multiple masses. Most cysts resolve on their own with time. So, unless your cousin's scan shows worrisome signs, she will likely have to watch and wait. Her cyst could be causing all her symptoms. I hope she feels better soon.
Avatar m tn Personally, I would expect your ovarian mass to be much larger if it were causing your enlarged lymph nodes. Most ovarian cancer preesents with a tumor larger than 5cm. But, you really need to keep pressing for answers from your doctors to be sure. Most ovarian cancer is not genetic. But, there is a small number of women who do have a genetic component to their cancer. I hope you find answers soon!
543435 tn?1282242679 Has your doctor suggested doing a biopsy on the enlarged lymph nodes? A ct scan I had two years ago showed I had multiple enlarged lymph nodes in the mesentery which, when biopsied, confirmed I had lymphoma. I have a similar pain to yours in the left lower pelvis but, as my lymph nodes are no longer enlarged due to treatment, I have no idea what is now causing my pain. I hope you find answers soon.
Avatar n tn A CT shows that she also has thickened endometrium. Also a few small lymph nodes in the area of her appendix. Any advice would be helpful.
Avatar f tn There appear to be a right pelvic lymph node measuring 1.6 x1.4 x 1.6cm. Smaller left pelvic lymph nodes are seen with the largest mesauring up to a 2.0 x 0.5 x 1.0 cm. There is a small amount of fluid associated with the right psoas muscle, which may represent bursitis. why Sep 14th, they are still simple cysts, and Oct 1, they can be cancerous? If this is cancer, based on the history, is it a late diagnose? what should I do next?
1405518 tn?1281153968 Hello, I have thyroid multi-nodular goiter, normal lab work but with complex & solid nodules. The one time they tried to biopsy in Aug 2010, the Endo hit something he shouldn't have & I ended up with a massive hematoma in ICU. Due to that incident, they didn't want to touch me for about 5 months so I could properly heal. While waiting, I had CT's, MRI's & US's which showed 4 enlarged lymph nodes around the thyroid that have not went away.
Avatar f tn 8 and my left lateral lymph nodes were completely cancer ridden. My lymph nodes were clear a month ago. My surgery is next week. Do not waste time debating and discussing get a second opinion and get it biopsied. Good Luck!
Avatar f tn Can Ovarian Cysts cause swollen lymph nodes and/or inguinal canal discomfort?
Avatar f tn benign epithelial and functional ovarian cysts, hemorrhagic ovarian cysts, endometriosis, dermoid cysts (benign teratomas), ovarian fibroids, uterine fibroids, fimbrial cysts, hydrosalpinges (swollen, fluid-filled faloppian tubes), pelvic abscesses, pelvic adhesions, bowel adhesions and adenomyosis.” I am sure once the CA125 results come your doctor will do a more rigorous follow up. Please refer: http://www.wdxcyber.com/ncanc08.htm However it is difficult to diagnose without examining.
Avatar n tn lymph nodes can come from anywhere from a cold to cancer ... when they are isolated to one side and one spot it is usually from somewhere in that region (since it was on ur neck it could be from your mouth or nose or ears etc) since they tested it for cancer and reactionary it seems it would be a minor indication at best ...
Avatar n tn The enlarged lymph nodes are likely "reactive" to an infection or other upper-respiratory inflammation (sinus, allergies, dental problems, etc). The increase in Tg needs to be watched as does the ultrasound appearance of the lymph node(s). A biopsy of the lymph node may be needed if the Tg continues to rise.
Avatar m tn I got my first ever cold sore and one submental lymph node and my submandibular lymph node blew up. Now the submandibular lymph node shrunk back down, but the submental one did not. I was concerned with lymphoma because lumps just dont show up out of no where. I went to see a doctor and she said that she couldnt feel anything and just brushed it off (unfortunately she didnt look thouroughly enough because she only felt the sides of my throat and just told me it was in my head).
Avatar n tn The ultrasound displayed some enlarged lymph nodes in the groin area, but the hematologist felt they were not of a shape that displayed anything cancerous, which was also his opinion upon physically feeling the several enlarged nodes I had when I visited. He recommends I undergo a CT scan, but he ultimately felt whatever is occurring is not cancer related in any way.
1202530 tn?1265494357 Occasional sharp pain in my left side back area. I read about Ovarian Cancer and it sounded a lot like my symptoms. Can you have swollen lymph nodes from having a cyst? Could this be Ovarian Cancer or some kind of Cancer? What do you think this might be? My doctor tells me she has no clue! Can you give me any ideas so I can have my doctor test for it. If you need to know: I have had my tubes tied 2 1/2 years ago and had an infection. Couldn't walk or talk for 2 weeks after.
604168 tn?1222537786 She told me that I need a hysterectomy and they need to do more tests on the lymph nodes as well. With family history of cancer on my Aunts side I am worried. She advised me to get in to see another doctor affiliated with a different hospital because the hospital specialize in cancer treatment if that is what we are looking at. I would like to hear from any cancer survivors or anyone going through the same thing. I will do what the doctors tell me to do , I hope I caught this early enough.
Avatar n tn Red (Lymphangitic)streaks may be seen in the skin over a large area, and lymph nodes in the groin are usually enlarged and tender. These features may distinguish it from acute infection in the veins or thrombophlebitis (venous inflammation). Secondary lymphedema in older persons may be due to a tumor or mass in the pelvis or groin. Obliteration of lymphatic tissue by excision or radiation therapy is another cause.
Avatar m tn If you are less than 50 it is way lower. 98%-99% of ovarian cysts are benign. They can cause the same symptoms as ovarian cancer. It is good they are checking it out because ovarian cancer gets missed a lot. The blood test the CA 125 has a lot of false positives so do not assume you have cancer from the test. You have good doctors. AS far as removing your ovaries. Keep them as long as you can. Women need them. I used to like my sex life. I am happily married.
Avatar n tn Hi, The symptoms of lymphoma include enlarged lymph nodes which sometimes cause other symptoms due to pressing of nerves (numbness) and veins (swelling). Other symptoms include weight loss, night sweats, tiredness, fever with chills and lack of energy. The symptoms are non specific and resemble the symptoms of flu or common cold. A physical examination and tests can make the exact diagnosis. I wish you all the best for your appointment with the breast doctor and do keep me posted.
Avatar f tn Aside from the selling of the lymph nodes, do you have any other symptoms, like fever or weight loss? Do you have a wound or any inflammation around the area (e.g. hands, shoulder, armpit)? Lymph nodes are aggregations of white blood cells that usually become swollen when there is an infection (e.g. infected wound) or an inflammation in the surrounding area.
