1295419 tn?1276822872 In the last 8 weeks I have had 3 ovarian cysts rupture. The first two were shortly before my period started and caused intense pain which landed me in the ER. The last was yesterday, which was also painful and a trip to the ER. I haven't started my period yet but I assume I will soon. I had one other ovarian cyst rupture in my lifetime which was about 6 months after going off birth control and 6 months before getting pregnant. I have so many of the PCOS symptoms.
1148191 tn?1271817646 I ovulated around the 1st of March, for a week after that I had dull cramping in my left side and than 7 days later i started getting what felt like period cramps. I went to the doctors and come to find out I have a cyst on my ovary, my question is I still think I might be pregnant, just how common are ovarian cysts in early pregnancy and is it possible that if I'm having pregnancy symptoms that I could still be pregnant.
Avatar f tn I do not think menstrual clotting is an indication of a rupture. Cysts are outside the uterus (if they are true ovarian cysts), and ruptured ones would not show up in menstruation.
10299247 tn?1409208876 They are ovarian cysts I have had them for about a year now. And if I walk to stand for to long they hurt so bad like really bad cramps only on the left and right side never anywherr else and its always in the same spot.

Avatar f tn I have posted here before in greater detail of my problem, but to make a long story somewhat short... This past year, I had three ovarian cysts rupture (2 were diagnosed -through u/s for the second rupture, and through ct scan for the third rupture). I also had the exact episode happen in February, but did not know what it was as I did not seek medical attention. I had been having these episodes happen numerous times over the years, but never knew what it was until now.
Avatar f tn I just went and got an ultra sound and found out that I have ovarian cysts. Will I still be able to get an abortion? I really did not want to get surgery, I wanted to take some medications.
Avatar f tn t know anything about ovarian cysts, I need to do some research on it. My main concern is that we are trying to get pregnant again and I don't want them to affect anything. I don't know what happens when they rupture, or is there any symptoms where you can tell if you have one? I'd like any info please. Thanks!
Avatar m tn hi- I have done some research on pcos and ovarian cyst and how they can mimic regnancy symptoms like headaches, bloating, sore/swollen breasts, cramps, back ache...that's what i found via google lol but only those symptoms.. what about discharge (yeallow/creamy white), veins prominent on stomach and chest (i know i'm not making this one up cos i wasn't looking for it..i just took my top off one day and i went holy ****! i'm a road map!
1284894 tn?1272171454 t want he to have to go though that and be scared. I have read that certain cysts can rupture while others have more chance of twisting. What kind of cysts have you had? Thank you.
Avatar f tn My pill just happened to be causing the cysts, where others taking the pill were preventing ovarian cysts. It may also depend on which pill you are on. Talk to your doctor about these concerns, she should have the answer. Hope everything goes well!
Avatar n tn I hear that ovarian cysts have the same symptoms as pregnancy. Anyone have experience with them and can tell the difference?
Avatar f tn I am not a Dr by any means, but can tell you experience about a ruptured cyst. I had numerous ovarian cysts, some would rupture, some would need surgery. When I would have a rupture usually it was a very serious, intense, double me over type pain that would ease in a couple of hours, but still feel tender. My last cyst that ruptured however did become a more emergent surgery for me.
Avatar f tn I get functional ovarian cysts. The kind that form during ovulation. Then rupture. Sometimes i get pain that goes all the way up to my ribs, and in my lower back. When mine rupture they disspell fluid into my abdomin. And the fluid irritates my insides. Call your doctor and make a appointment to be safe. If the pain gets worse or you develope a fever, go straight to the ER, cause it could be something else. Motrin helps with the pain.
1473788 tn?1286975127 I am 23 years old and I have had so many ovarian cysts rupture that I have lost count! It's affecting my life dramatically. I have a cyst rupture every few months. I was put on birth control to regulate the growth but I have 2 different types of cysts and the larger ones that my fallopian tubes wrap around aren't controlled by the medication. When I was 16 I was having pelvic discomfort and my abdomen was distended. I looked about 6 months pregnant.
Avatar f tn bloating, cramping, back pain, thigh pain, nausea, problematic periods, and many others as well. If I were you, I would get an appointment with your gynecologist and have her answer your question. It is possible that you are feeling symptoms (mentioned above) because you have other cysts. Good luck and please keep us updated on how you are doing. Prayers coming your way.
Avatar n tn There are more than one flavor of ovarian cysts and some are more cause for concern than the usual ones that occur due to what I think of as a misfired egg. I've had plenty of those along with hemorrhagic and chocolate cysts from endometriosis. Those tend to not rupture on their own and surgery usually is only considered after the size has been tracked for a few months and it gets so large that it causes more symptoms or interferes with fertility. Ain't it great to be a woman?!
Avatar f tn I've had small cysts on my ovaries before, and it hurts like heck when (if ) they pop. Like everyone else said, its not out of the ordinary to have them, so its probably nothing to really fret over. If you spike a fever and/or have a sharp, stabby-pinchy kind of pain on either side of your uterus, call your OBGYN, but other than that, don't stress over it.
Avatar f tn Majority of women do experience ovarian cysts and they generally do go away on their own without any damage. Caution that if it is on the larger size then it could rupture or twist in which you will experience extreme pain. If this happens it is an emergent situation and you need to go to the ER. Many women find that they need to get second and third opinions in order to get answers they need from someone they trust.
Avatar n tn m having surgery for Dec 6th, the ovarian cysts, and an ectopic pregnancy-both of which I had surgery for years ago. The ovarian cyst would not be protruding to the outside there has to be some sort of weakness in the lining, or the area for that to happen generally seen with a hernia, and your puking episodes could have caused enough straining to cause it. The ovaries are deeper inside, the cysts do cause a lot of pain, but do not protrude to the outside.
13415927 tn?1430701518 Welcome to the community. Some women have more symptoms than others with ovarian cysts. I had one that did not cause any symptoms until it got to 9cm at which point I had one day of unrelenting pain (but nothing prior to that) which then subsided even though the cyst did not rupture. When cysts get large, they can also cause urinary symptoms as they may be pressing on the bladder. Bowel changes may also occur. I hope your treatment (continuous birth control?) works for you!
Avatar n tn 95% of all ovarian cysts are benign.. At that size it will need to be removed... Good luck...
Avatar f tn What are the symptoms of ovarian cysts and tumors? Often, ovarian cysts don't cause any symptoms. You may not realize you have one until you visit your health care provider for a routine pelvic exam. Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. If you have any of the symptoms below, it's important to have them checked out. That's because they can also be symptoms of ovarian tumors. Ovarian cancer often spreads before it is detected.
Avatar n tn Those are fairly good sized cysts I think.. Sometimes they can rupture or even twist.. but I believe there is quite a bit of pain when that happens. What does your Dr. advise? You need to let him/her know..
