Avatar f tn I am 49 menopausal - was on HRT - have stopped it now in case it is aggravating the ovary. I was told the cysts are fluid filled and would either rupture of absorb. I am also in intermittent pain higher up but below naval line in two places and have had stabbing pains and can now feel small hard nodules and am worried this is to do with colon? Also I have had feeling of dragging in perinium area for a few weeks.
Avatar f tn m sure that if it was an emergency, the doctor would have treated it as such. Cysts can either rupture or twist your ovary and that is very painful. If you experience horrible pain like that you should definitely go to the ER again. Try not to worry though. We sometimes make things seem worse than they are in our heads because we think too much about it and we're scared. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
1284894 tn?1272171454 I would like if you will always have vaginal bleeding when a cyst ruptures? Also can cysts leak? Meaning can they slowing release fluid and/or blood, whatever is inside them or would they more likely just 'burst' and spill out all their contents? I would like to hear from anyone who has experienced a ruptures ovary cyst and your story and symptoms please. I currently have a 6x4 cm mass on the left side.
Avatar n tn i was told i have two ovarian cyst one on each side. I was told one ruptured and they found fluids. How long will the pain last. My cyst are only 1. something centimeters.
Avatar f tn Although one small part of the ovary can function well, if the remaining ovary has cysts re-grow inside, a smaller ovary has a smaller chance to get preserved for the second or third surgeries. So it is better to always preserver more ovarian tissue as possible. From the video below, it seems one half normal ovarian tissue is removed. I guess it might be due to inconvenience of manipulation of laparoscopy. But since I am not a professional, anyone’s new opinion on this?
Avatar f tn In January of 2009, i had emergency surgery for an ovarian cysts on my right ovary. Apparently the cyst was 5 inches and twisted around my ovary. After the surgery, i had no pain up until June of that year. I had many ultrasounds done that confirmed i had small cysts. In April of 2010, i had laproscopic surgery to have a look to see what was going on. The doctor told me after that my ovary had dropped down due to a cyst and that my right tube was blocked.
Avatar f tn I have a question as to how long approx. does it takes to recover from an ovarian cyst rupture. A little background, I had a TAH w/right ovary & tube removed for CIN III in 5/07, recovery was fine. In 12/07 daily pain from a peritoneal inclusion cyst. 2/27/08 removed left tube with PIC drained (couldn't be removed). 4 weeks post op, ovarian cyst pain confirmed by ultrasound (3cm). At 11 weeks post-op, cyst ruptured. The pain wasn't too terrible and I didn't go to the ER.
Avatar f tn About a month ago the rectal pressure started back up so I called to get an ultrasound. Now, I have 2 cysts that are 3 cm each on my right ovary. The surgeon wants me to take the pill for three months and come back for another ultrasound. Two days after starting the pill I thought my rectal pressure was gone for about three days, but now it's back.
Avatar m tn I have had four cysts ...all on my right ovary. I have had three of them rupture which is agony. I have tried taking contraceptive pills but they didnt make any difference. I had a plaproscopy and had a cyst drained but it returned three weeks later as big as it was before the op...the doctor offered to do op again that day but I felt there was no point in going through the op again when it didnt work.
718910 tn?1230310121 You have another complex cyst on your remaining ovary and any complex cysts gives a bit more to worry about due to its solid components, but keep in mind that most cysts are benign anyway. Talk to your doctor and what approach he/she will take. They will probably watch it for a few weeks to see what happens. Are your cycles normal? Cysts are a hassle, but most of the time are nothing to worry about. Just talk to your doctor and ask him to discuss the report with you.
Avatar f tn Gyne did an U/S which showed a 5 cm septated cyst- and is concerned of ovarian cancer due to symptoms. I had a complex ovarian cyst on opposite ovary a year ago, but no symptoms. It resolved on its own within 5-6 months. I'm just worried. I have 2 little girls, and I am a worrier anyways. Any helpful info? They are going to do MRI and bloodwork, then I can either schedule to see a specialist for 2nd opinion/ more info, or have my R overt removed.
Avatar f tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts. Discuss these treatment options with a gynecologist so that the best treatment options can be decided.
Avatar f tn I am not a Dr by any means, but can tell you experience about a ruptured cyst. I had numerous ovarian cysts, some would rupture, some would need surgery. When I would have a rupture usually it was a very serious, intense, double me over type pain that would ease in a couple of hours, but still feel tender. My last cyst that ruptured however did become a more emergent surgery for me.
Avatar n tn I am not sexually active, but I do have a few questions concerning my period with ovarian cysts. Usually my periods are normal when I have ruptures, and I had a rupture 2 weeks ago on Thursday. I've been lightly cramping in my right ovary since. My last menstural cycle started on the 16th of last month, and I'm usually always 28-29 days apart. No period yet. I'm cramping like crazy and eating until I can't eat anymore. Any advice?
Avatar f tn t remove a cyst less than 5cm big. Removing one ovary would still allow you to conceive a child. It will take your remaining ovary a few weeks to kick in and start working as the only ovary and you should be okay. But your doctor has to determine if that is best. If your cyst is big enough or it continues to grow despite treatment to shrink it, surgically removing it should eliminate the pain. Talk to your doctor about it. Good luck!
1430240 tn?1290434023 okay so in june i had a cyst on my ovary that ruptured and i bled internally. my period was fine in june. it was a full flow for 6 or 7 days and heavy like normal. but in july i was 4 days late and it lasted three days..and my period for august was due the 28th but it came sept. 5 and now its gone. i know im not pregnant or anything but i just wanna know is it common to get another cyst so soon?
Avatar m tn fluid filled cysts are nothing to worry about no matter how big they get, they will go away in time. Also birth control will cause more other problems to woman who are haivng lots of cysts. I suggest taking evening primrose oil which is natural to help. She needs to see a nuropath, is that whay she is seeing? The clots are OK and nothing to worry about either.
Avatar f tn I found out about 3 months ago that I have a ovarian cyst in my right ovary. And then my husband and I became pregnant. Has anyone else been this situation ?? Just wondering on how your pregnancy went or if there was any risks. Thanks so much !!!
1813956 tn?1316715823 Most range from 2-5 cm and disappear or shrink around the 2nd trimester when it stops sustaining the pregnancy or disappear all together by the time of birth. Ovarian cysts are common, most women get them every cycle when ovulating, however they remain very small and usually burst on their own without them knowing. The risks are minimal until the cyst gets larger than 8 cm.
Avatar f tn I have already had my r ovary removedonce then a few years later an ultrasound showed my ovary grew back probally due to ovarian remnant disorder then had surgery to take it out now 8 months later with lots of pain come to find out I had a cyst rupture on my now full size right ovary.
1503875 tn?1290902087 He said oh theres nothing on the cat scan, but you do have abdominal fluid caused by burst ovarian cysts. He wouldnt give me any other info other than to say its no big deal and walked out. So I am left wondering, what next? The nurse wasn't any help either because she said she didnt know what that meant and maybe if she had extra time later she would google it. I was released at 2:30am barely able to walk and still screaming in pain.
Avatar n tn There are more than one flavor of ovarian cysts and some are more cause for concern than the usual ones that occur due to what I think of as a misfired egg. I've had plenty of those along with hemorrhagic and chocolate cysts from endometriosis. Those tend to not rupture on their own and surgery usually is only considered after the size has been tracked for a few months and it gets so large that it causes more symptoms or interferes with fertility. Ain't it great to be a woman?!
