Avatar f tn My doctor doesn’t seem to worry because I’m not currently trying to have a baby but I am worried about no period and all my ovarian cysts since they are extremely painful does anyone have any suggestions on a kind of specialist I should see or what tests they should do or anything and experiences?
Avatar f tn Was that a transvaginal ultrasound? The problem with larger cysts is that they can twist or rupture and that is extremely painful.. Please don't worry about cancer at this stage of the game. There are a lot of other symptoms with Ovarian Cancer ; bloating, feeling of fullness, gastric problems, etc. Remember that 95 % of all cysts are benign...
Avatar m tn Ended up having stage 3 endo, ovarian cysts (pcos), as well as uterine fibroids/cysts. They used a laser on the endo that they could, removed the ovarian cysts & did a d&c. It has helped some, mostly with the pain during sex, but as much pain as it was causing some improvement is better than none. Since I'm ttc there isn't any treatment I can take long term and I still suffer from all of these issues and they are likely the reason I am having so much difficulty conceiving.
Avatar f tn I fear you may have one of many possible conditions going on here. Ovarian Cysts are painful but typically not harmful. however, with a history of them, you may be ignoring signs of a more serious condition. The sudden large ammount of weight loss, is a worry as well. I think you should go see your OB/Gyn as soon as possible, but if you refuse to go due to insurance, you need to look into local medical programs. I am for example, a critical care nurse at a county hopspital.
Avatar n tn At different times in your cycle your cervix will be high or it will come down low. Also, it could be ovarian cysts. I get these a lot!! And when I have sex even though the sex itself doesn't hurt, but when (sorry tmi) he's thrusting inside of me, while he's in as far as he can go will hurt and I can feel the pressure pain around my ovaries. Have you ever been told that you have had ovarian cysts before? They're quite common and they come and go during your cycles.
1570931 tn?1315840395 And ive been having an almost constant body ach for two days along with a bad back pain,(in my upper back and its normally in my lower back) took a hpt today and it was BFN Not sure what to think though, i dont normally get sharp pains like this so part of me is worried my cysts came back, (I used to get hormonal ovarian cysts when i was younger)
Avatar n tn I hear that ovarian cysts have the same symptoms as pregnancy. Anyone have experience with them and can tell the difference?
Avatar f tn HI. How long has the cyst been there? When cysts are discovered the doctors will normally observe it for up to 3 months to see if it disappears itself, which a lot of cysts can. If it is causing severe pain, not resolving, or if it is suspicious in any way the cyst may be removed or drained. Most ovarian cysts are harmless.
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts can be very painful - however with everything else going on have they suggested any treatment for you? I would recommend making an appt with your doctor or even a second opinion to see what all is going on. In the meantime, one thing you can do is start keeping a journal of al of your symptoms. Be as specific as possible about what cycle day you are on, pain level, what the pain feels like, how long it lasts and what you do/take for it, and where the pain is.
Avatar f tn You do not have to have surgery for ovarian cysts. They can be painful, mine usually hurts most when I'm ovulating. Ibuprofen helps, as well as a heating pad.
Avatar f tn I am sorry you are going through this. I had an ovarian cyst and wish my gynecologist had taken a conservative approach. Instead, I was rushed into surgery and over-treated. Scar tissue is a real risk. And there are other risks such as losing the ovaries and their life-long vital functions. Or even if the ovaries are not removed, the surgery could affect their function.
Avatar f tn I have cysts on both ovaries and they are becoming quite painful. does anyone else have this or know what to do?
Avatar n tn I have had several operations for ovarian cysts removal. 12 years ago I had my right ovary removed because the cyst spread over the whole ovary, and 2 years ago it spread to the left ovary, and had that removed. Now the cyst on my left ovary has resurfaced. I am feeling alot of pain, and I have been to the doctor and was told to follow up on my cyst but I never did because of insurance reasons. But I have been having pains on my left side, like a burning and painful sensation.
Avatar m tn Also check out the ovarian cyst forum at medhelp for discussion of the managements of ovarian cysts that are not related to ovarin cancer good luck
Avatar f tn Try not to worry. Ovarian cysts are very common and most are benign. It would be very unlikely for you to have a malignancy without more signs and symptoms. It is standard for the doctors to ask about your family history of cancer. I hope all goes well! Keep us posted on how you are doing!
Avatar n tn Ovarian cysts are extremely common - so do not worry. However, they can also be extremely painful and can grow extremely large. Each month, when a woman ovulates, small follicles form on the outer part of the ovary. These follicles look like little marbles almost through an ultrasound. Now, during your period - these follicles are, keyword here 'supposed' to break free with the lining of your period but for some women, they do not.
Avatar n tn t really tell until they do surgery (only done if very large and/or painful). Most cysts go away on their own. I will warn you when they do it is painful though so if you get what feels like a really painful period cramp that came on very suddenly and without warning....you probably popped! Is yours painful? Most complex cysts are nothing to worry about as 95% of them are benign (I think, you can double check the health pages at the top of the website) and most resolve on their own.
Avatar f tn I'm not an expert but it does look like she has two ovarian cysts with one being a dermoid cyst. These can cause a lot of symptoms and hopefully she is now set to get this dealt with. Do take a look at the health pages (top right) for info on types of cysts and symptoms. In her case it is likely they will use a laparoscope and remove the cysts. What did they say the next steps were? It is likely that MedHelp will move your posting to the Ovarian Cyst forum.
Avatar f tn I am 16 years old, I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts after many times to the hospital in may. I've been to my OB several of times. But everytime I go she kinda brushes off my symptoms. I'm having fatigue, low energy, frequent headaches, back pain, hip pain, and of course low abdominal pain. I'm also in constant pain, at times it gets worse.
