Avatar n tn I have been suffering from Ovarian Cysts since I was 16 years old and I am 32 now. I had an oophorectomy at age 16 of the right side. I have two beautiful children but cannot get an acceptable quality of life because of these no warning episodes. Do you know of a natural remedy that I can use to eliminate and prevent future cysts from forming? My frequency is about 2 to 3 times a year.
Avatar f tn I had 5 lg ovarian cysts that my dr. (OBGYN fertility) wanted to surgically remove from my uterus. I had a friend tell me about CASTER OIL as a remedy for naturally removing the cysts by using "cold pressed caster oil compresses". I tried this and it worked !!!- it actually removed all 5 of my cysts!! Now my doctor is upset with me. Saying it's not safe. Really and surgery is?? People have use caster oil since Before Christ. Why is this not safe?

Avatar f tn It was discovered at my ultrasound (I am in early pregnancy) that I had two large approximately 8cm diameter benign cysts on my right ovary. I had no symptoms, no pain, and no idea that I had these inside me. After a more intensive scan and a confirmation that these were indeed very benign and quite unremarkable cysts, I was told to wait and see if they went away on their own.
Avatar f tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts.
Avatar n tn The heavy mensus could be the cause of the anemia. It's not uncommon to be anemic during the reproductive years. It's quite possible a cyst is present. That can also affect the mensus. Don't go thinking about ovarian cancer so quickly. Cysts are the much more common problem for women. Or it could be a hemmorahgic cyst (bleeding). Most of the time they are harmless and remedy themselves, but on rarer occasions they bleed too much and need removal.
Avatar f tn This will give them a good view of your ovary and any cysts that you may have. Please rest assured that ovarian cysts and cancer have most of the same symptoms. 95% of ovarian cysts are non cancerous. It is common to have pain during exercise, sex, and sitting for long periods of time when you have an ovarian cyst. Please keep us updated on how you are doing.
3100626 tn?1341387176 Could this pain be cysts. In so much pain really getting scared my mom died.
Avatar n tn There are more than one flavor of ovarian cysts and some are more cause for concern than the usual ones that occur due to what I think of as a misfired egg. I've had plenty of those along with hemorrhagic and chocolate cysts from endometriosis. Those tend to not rupture on their own and surgery usually is only considered after the size has been tracked for a few months and it gets so large that it causes more symptoms or interferes with fertility. Ain't it great to be a woman?!
256161 tn?1196879046 I know lyme causes all kinds of different cysts. I'm not sure about the ovarian cysts though as they are quite common in women in general. Flagyl is a cyst buster so if you have lyme you may feel the herx reaction.
Avatar n tn Ovarian cysts are extremely common - so do not worry. However, they can also be extremely painful and can grow extremely large. Each month, when a woman ovulates, small follicles form on the outer part of the ovary. These follicles look like little marbles almost through an ultrasound. Now, during your period - these follicles are, keyword here 'supposed' to break free with the lining of your period but for some women, they do not.
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts can be painful I get them a lot. If I thought I was pregnant and had the symptoms you are complaining of I'd be at my doctors office or at the ER making sure nothing happens to that baby but that's just me.
Avatar f tn When the follicles are forming small cysts may be present in the normal ovary. These ovarian cysts which start during the normal function of menstrual cycle are called functional cysts which are of two types follicular cyst and corpus luteal cyst. Most of these cysts are harmless and disappear over a period of time. They are usually asymptomatic. In few patients cysts may cause menstrual irregularities, pelvic pain. In such cases medical help should be sought.
Avatar f tn You should not be left to that kind of pain without a solution for at least relief from the pain. If you cannot walk, go to the bathroom etc, how much worse does it need to get? I vote second opinion.
Avatar n tn Does birth control help with the pain from ovarian cysts? Does using birth control help ressolve the existing cysts? How long does it take for birth control to show progress in pain and resolution of ovarian cysts? I started using the nuva ring almost two weeks ago. I thought the pain was gone (as it had disappeared for over a week) then all of a sudden this weekend the pain returned with the same intensity. Does this mean the cysts are growing? I am growing extremely frustrated with the pain.
Avatar m tn I have been on pain pills since leaving the er but the pain is getting worse and my stomach gets larger everyday.
Avatar f tn This new GYNO did a laparoscopy surgery to take biopsies to figure out what was causing so much pain. he noted I have multiple ovarian cysts measuring about 5.7. not sure what that exactly means.. but okay.. he noted that one fallopian tube is also severely damaged. and most likely has since birth. now present time Sept 2015 I have been put on Alysena low dose birth control to control excessive bleeding and cramps during my cycles. I have been on these pills for about 6 months.
Avatar f tn Any mom's have experiences with ovarian cysts during pregnancy? I haven't been diagnosed with an ultrasound yet but with my signs and symptoms I'm pretty sure I have one. I get stabbing pain in the same spot, near my right ovary a few times each day with certain movements and activities. 5 weeks tomorrow but I had the pain long before I was pregnant. From what I read they're fairly normal and insignificant?
Avatar f tn Given your history with cysts and endometriosis, I would get a third opinon. With a cyst that large, surgery will be needed.. my gyno didnt even play the waiting game with my 2 surgerys, my cysts were 5cm and 7cm, on in each ovary the first time, I left his office and was sent right to the hospital tht day to be and add on for surgery. Second time around, it was a 3 month wait for surgery, thts it. I would absolutely get things checked out again by another dr.
Avatar f tn Majority of women do experience ovarian cysts and they generally do go away on their own without any damage. Caution that if it is on the larger size then it could rupture or twist in which you will experience extreme pain. If this happens it is an emergent situation and you need to go to the ER. Many women find that they need to get second and third opinions in order to get answers they need from someone they trust.
Avatar f tn 9cm cysts in my left ovary.how could something so small cause so much pain? what are the treatment options? i made an appt. with my gynecologists but its in 3wks.i did have a tubaligation 3 yrs ago at the age of 27, does that have anything to do with it? im tired of taking pain killers for almost 15 days out of the month.its affecting my work.any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I find often that women who have chronic pelvic pain are talked into believing that 1-2 cm cysts are causing their problems. These cysts are normal and are almost always present on every woman's ovaries. I hope this is not what your doctors are talking about too! Your problem is a difficult one--chronic pain in the pelvic area, and believe it or not, often results from some sort of major physical/psychological trauma that becomes worse and worse over time.
1294482 tn?1354489288 Hello, I cant really answer your question but I too have just had a scan and been told I have a 2.8cm cyst, though the nurse that did scan wasnt sure what sort of cyst it was? said it could be follicle cyst , i have to now wait up to 2 weeks for the results to be faxed to my dr then discuss what to do. I have NO pain and the only reason I went for a scan was because I havnt had a bleed this month and was on provera and clomid last month and think the clomid may have caused this.
Avatar m tn you will know. it is pain like you have never felt before in your stomach. its like cramps times 100. you may also faint or feel light headed. and no you do not bleed in all cases.
Avatar f tn I am 16 years old, I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts after many times to the hospital in may. I've been to my OB several of times. But everytime I go she kinda brushes off my symptoms. I'm having fatigue, low energy, frequent headaches, back pain, hip pain, and of course low abdominal pain. I'm also in constant pain, at times it gets worse.
