ovarian-cysts

Avatar n tn I have been told they are ovarian cysts- but not specifics (no mention of the blood vessels in the radiology report) So I am planning to visit the doc again to ask more questions. I am mostly frustrated as I am still bleeding, having some pain, pain with sex. No fun. Thanks for the reply. I have been researching ovarian cysts heavily, and am trying to figure out what I should do next.
Avatar n tn Would these "simple" ovarian cysts cause frequent nauseation, pain in the pelvic, hip, and lower back?
Avatar n tn i have a blood filled cyst i found out today--besides ibuprofin 3 times a day what can i do to alleiviate some of pain? And is this an early sign of ovarian cancer or are people freaking me out????
Avatar n tn Another possibility to look at would be your appendix, unless you have already gotten it out. Fibroids and ovarian cysts can cause a lot of pain. I would talk to your doctor about your concerns, but it does sound like it is the fibroid and cysts.
Avatar n tn My blood tests were fine and my sonogram did not show any cysts. since my blood tests were fine so since my white cell count isnt high does that mean i shouldnt have cancer? also, endometriosis runs in my family so is all this pain due to that? i just want some input from some people because im really scared, im not hte type of person to go to the doctor and im there all the time now! ive been going for the last 5 months! soo wats the likelyhood its cancer or endometriosis?
Avatar m tn Cysts associated with endometriosis are more likely to lead to some type of bloody discharge or cysts that have blood filled sections. I don't think bleeding occurs in all cases. It could also be menstrual flow that is affected by ovary activity and the effect cysts have on hormone levels.
Avatar f tn This new GYNO did a laparoscopy surgery to take biopsies to figure out what was causing so much pain. he noted I have multiple ovarian cysts measuring about 5.7. not sure what that exactly means.. but okay.. he noted that one fallopian tube is also severely damaged. and most likely has since birth. now present time Sept 2015 I have been put on Alysena low dose birth control to control excessive bleeding and cramps during my cycles. I have been on these pills for about 6 months.
Avatar n tn I suffer from ovarian cysts. I have talked to several gynos an all of them jave told me that if you suffer from ovarian cysts that they can actually burst and most of the time you wont even know they burst because they burst during your period. I dont have it every month but i do have it every couple months. They isnt much they can do except treat the pain if your have cysts unless they are very big. These can be found by getting a simple an quick ultrasound.
Avatar f tn I’m 17 and I have PCOS which is polycystic ovarian syndrome, like the earlier answer said it may be ovarian cysts. I had blood work and some ultra sounds done.
551683 tn?1220656108 The symptoms you are describing are very much in line with ovarian cysts. Do you know what size or type of cysts you have? Surgery for cysts depends on size, type and whether you are in pain. In many cases if surgery is required it can be done laporascopically. Don't ignore the cysts. You really should have a gyn dealing with them. Take a look at the health pages attached to the ovarian cyst forum. There is some good information on types of cysts that you might be helpful.
Avatar f tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts.
Avatar f tn have pain in belly button which just began today. However for past 6 months have had severe abdominal pain, chronic constipation, swelling, 13 day periods, painful intercourse, vaginal dryness, fatigue, acid reflux like symptoms, pain in various area of back pelvis and abdomen, fainting, etc. Have had CT scans which said chronic ovarian cysts, ultrasounds and blood tests say "fine" but still hurts. Whats wrong?
6589573 tn?1382725642 I am 38 years old with a history of ovarian cysts & endometriosis. I haven't had a period in four months now. I have never had irregular periods before even with the endo. Had 2 surgeries to remove adhesions and 1 to remove a softball sized hemmoragic cyst. Doctor says I am not in perimenopause either. I have pain at my left ovary, clear discharge, and blood clots have come out during a bowel movement. Aside from feeling bloated and basically horrible the pain is becoming worse.
Avatar f tn So I have looked up symptoms of ovarian cysts and one that caught my eye was weight gain. Has anyone ever gained weight because of cysts? I can not seem to lose any weight. I wonder if the cysts are causing this?
Avatar f tn It's great to know you're familiar with Prentice; my ob/gyn delivered both my daughters and has known me for almost 20 years; she also knows how my imagination can start forest fires; I was so happy in January to know the cyst on the right ovary dissolved only to find out that one had developed on the left side; my annual was yesterday (the 11th) so the timing was good; when she did the pelvic exam, I could tell she felt something, but I didn't feel any pain; then she decided to have
Avatar n tn How are they checking regularly? What other tests have you had other than the blood work and colonoscopy? What kind of cysts do you have? If you give us a little more information about yourself, such as age, whether you are pre or post menopausal and history (what is "quite some time now"?) I think it would be easier for someone to answer you.
Avatar f tn This will give them a good view of your ovary and any cysts that you may have. Please rest assured that ovarian cysts and cancer have most of the same symptoms. 95% of ovarian cysts are non cancerous. It is common to have pain during exercise, sex, and sitting for long periods of time when you have an ovarian cyst. Please keep us updated on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn In January of 2009, i had emergency surgery for an ovarian cysts on my right ovary. Apparently the cyst was 5 inches and twisted around my ovary. After the surgery, i had no pain up until June of that year. I had many ultrasounds done that confirmed i had small cysts. In April of 2010, i had laproscopic surgery to have a look to see what was going on. The doctor told me after that my ovary had dropped down due to a cyst and that my right tube was blocked.
Avatar m tn Erm I just got told hemaroid? I think! They're not doing anything apart from monitoring it but I can't explain the horrendous pain I'm in when I get one if my pains! It needs sorting but I don't know what todo next!
Avatar n tn I agree with Cindy that it is very unlikely to be Ovarian Cancer. However, young girls do get cysts. Actually cysts are very very common in young premenopausal women and 95 % benign. You may want to check the top right of this page; "Health Pages" . It has a lot of information about cysts . Of course we don't know if she even has cysts. And.. we're not Drs. here.. She really needs to be seen my by a Gyn. It could be one of many things.
Avatar f tn I recently was seen in the emergency room with severe abdominal pain and blood mixed with bowel movement. I was released and was instructed to see another doctor. I have undergone a battery of test with a doctor specializing in internal medicine. He clearly thought this was a GI issue. After a CT scan of the pelvic area it revealed possible hemorraging bleeding cyst on my right ovary and I have enlarge fibrods.
Avatar m tn Hi, I had pain like that too, it was an ovarian cyst that had gotten so big it got tangled up in my fallopian tube, so I had to have that ovary removed. If they've already checked for cysts and told you that you have some fibroids or cysts that 'should not' cause pain that doesn't mean that they 'cannot' cause pain. I think you should go see another OB/GYN at another practice who could look at your case with fresh eyes and give you a second opinion.
Avatar f tn as i am having various problem like blood in urine, and improper periods with brown fluid.and lot of pain in abdomen.
3100626 tn?1341387176 Could this pain be cysts. In so much pain really getting scared my mom died.
Avatar m tn I am wondering if we should be alarmed and if the blood filled ruptured cyst means ovarian cancer, and whether because it ruptured the blood would have affected other areas with cancer cells. Im truly so sorry for the lengthy message but I wanted to give you enough info on Tracie and I couldn't do it shorter. Thank you so so much and I shall anxiously wait for your reply.
Avatar n tn Ovarian cysts can cause bladder and bowel problems. In my case it was due to the size of the ovarian cyst and the pressure it was placing on other organs. In my daughter's case, the abdominal pain with the ovarian cyst was severe and caused nausea. By the time we discovered that an ovarian cyst was causing the pain, she had become constipated, which added to her irregularity and discomfort. Like MarieMichele, before my ovarian cyst was removed, I had to eat very small amounts.
