Ovarian cysts no free fluid

Common Questions and Answers about Ovarian cysts no free fluid

ovarian-cysts

Avatar n tn I had a CT with contrast and the doctor asked me if I ever had ovarian cysts, I said no. He was not candid with me about the results and I didn't get to view them. I had a trans-vaginal ultrasound and the tech was very quiet. She did not tell me anything but the doctor discharged me with a burst ovarian cyst, but he said I had free fluid in my abdomen and around my right ovary. I had IV protonix and zophran and a GI cocktail (which helped the pain).
Avatar f tn Also some free fluid is absolutely normal. Did the letter say what type of cyst it is? Most cysts resolve themselves after a cycle or two. Even if it doesn't, 95% of all cysts are benign. Depending on what type it is will determine what they do next. Most of the time it is the watchful waiting approach. Again this is absolutely normal. Are you having any symptoms from the cyst?
Avatar f tn I was thinking that having a big fibroid was a bit unusual for the sixties too but the free fluid was mentioned after talking about the two ovarian cysts. My doctor appointment isn't till next week. I am wondering what kind of tests he might suggest- I am not sure if a transvaginal ultrasound is more detailed than the pelvic mri.
Avatar n tn Bilateral simple ovarian cysts. Small amount of free fluid in the cul-de-sac. Is this ultrasound report worrisome in light of just having a lap on 4/29 that revealed normal ovaries with no masses? I also had a elevation in the ca125 blood test prior to the surgery and have not had a repeat blood test. My doctor did not feel I needed to repeat the blood test. Thank you for your help.
1398693 tn?1343684738 I do not have ovarian cysts, but my ct scan showed free fluid in my pelvis are there any other causes for this?
Avatar n tn Thanks...I realize how ovulation works. I am pretty insync with my body. The fluid in the pelvic cavity was my concern, as it said on the US that it was more than the normal amt. It was a "pocket" of fluid in the pelvis. I had read that free fluid could be a sign of cancer, not just ovarian (as there aren't many signs until it is too late). I am premenopausal and my breast cancer was early (DCIS stage) and I am not on tamoxifen.
Avatar f tn 4 cm. And the report states that I have free fluid by my vaginal cuff. Please someone explain what does all this means.
Avatar f tn I was told that I had a complex ovarian cyst that had partially ruptured. I also had free fluid in the pelvis. I was scheduled to see a Gyno in two weeks...which is already seeming like an eternity! I picked up my films today from the Hospital radiology dept. so that I would have them to take to the Gyno in two weeks. The final written report from the MD in Radiology states that I have prominent endometrial thickening (1.3cm) and that the free fluid in pelvis shows debris.
Avatar f tn 1 cm. A few small subcentimeter left follicular ovarian cysts are identified. There is no longer evidence of previously described 2.0 cm complex left ovarian cyst. The right ovary measures 3.8 x 2.0 x 4.0 cm and contains a thick walled complex right ovarian cyst measuring 3.4 x 1.4 x 4.0 cm. This was not noted on prior MRI examination. Clinical correlation and close follow-up is recommended. Small amount of free fluid is noted within the cul-de-sac. Impression: Status post hysterectomy.
579959 tn?1218310678 8 x 9.7 x 8.5 cm. No free fluid is seen within the pelvis. The right ovary was unable to be visualized. The appendix is unable to be visualized. Complex left ovarian cystic mass. This would be favored to represent a cystadenoma. Gynecologic consultation continues to be advised I'm worrying myself sick thinking the worst. I have had back surgery in 2005 so I blamed most my symptoms on my back and bad periods and gallstones. I just don't feel good at all.
10704596 tn?1412127746 Left ovary contains multiple cysts numbering at least 5 measuring up to 3 cm, some which are simple and the 3 cm cyst is partially collapsing with septation and a couple of cyst shows some low-level internal echoes possibly hemorrhagic. No free fluid.

Avatar n tn Is it OK to wait? Will the complex cyst go away by it self? Here is my US result. Waiting to hear from you all. Thanks, A.Shah Transabdominal and endovaginal pelvic sonograms were obtained. The uterus measures 8.9 x 4.4 x 6.2 cm and demonstrates slightly heterogeneous echotexture, without definite focal mass. Endometrial stripe thickness is 0.2 cm. No intrauterine fluid collection is evident. The right ovary measures 2.5 x 1.7 x 2.
Avatar m tn It says you have cysts on both ovaries. If you do not have the BRCA gene you have a 1.4% of ovarian cancer in a life time. 98% of ovarian cysts are benign. It is very rare to have cancerous cysts on both ovaries The left ovary cyst is smaller than your last ultrasound. I have no medical training. I would let my doctor explain it to me.
1893678 tn?1322008313 Hi guys, I'm new to this website after reading all your supportive posts about having painful ovarian cysts. I'm 17 and I have been having problems with ovarian cysts since I was 16. Last January, I was 16, and I started feeling severe pelvic pain that wrapped around my back. The pain was so severe I laid on the bathroom floor and cried and cried. My mom then took me to my primary doctor who told me it was only a stomach bug and gave me medicine for the vomitting, and 'stomach bug.
Avatar n tn i read on a medical web page not long after finding out that i myself have a hemmhoragic cyst on my left ovary that fertility drugs can help to cause ovarian cysts because most ovarian cysts are caused by the eggs not making it all the way out of the ovary or something of that sort and they just kind of pile up inside of the ovary and form a cyst. however, i did read that most ovarian cysts go away sometime during ovulation.
Avatar n tn The ultra sound also showed free pelvic fluid. My doctor has ordered a CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis. The pain is so severe that pain medication does not help. Any ideas what could be causing the pain?
Avatar f tn it has popped before but it wont go away no matter how much fluid or blood comes out. it doesnt hurt often but i am becoming very scared. what should i do? i need a doctors advice i do not have one of my own, please help me... No obvious free fluid identified Ultrasound Findings . 1/ Multiseptated Rt ovarian cyst still evident. On todays scan septae appear vascular 2/Impression of Lt Hydrosalpinx.
Avatar f tn Today, I went to GYN, and had a transvaginal ultrasound which revealed suggestive adenomyosis and a complex cyst. I also had free fluid. ?? Dr. doesn't think GI problems are related to cyst and wants me to come back in two weeks for repeat ultrasound. I'm 32. Should I be concerned?
Avatar n tn No other ovarian cysts or masses are seen and no adnexal abnormalities are identified. There is no free fluid in the cul-de-sac. No uterine fibroids or other uterine abnormalities are seen. IMPRESSION: 1. Small 2.2cm complex cyst in the right ovary, which may reflect a small hemorrhagic cyst. If clinically indicate, follow-up imaging in approximately six months may be helpful to exclude the unlikely possibility of an ovarian lesion of other etiology.
205009 tn?1218559728 I went in for an ultrasound today due to some pain issues and now I have not one but two more with some free fluid around the ovary. Of course, no way to tell if they are the same without going in but I haven't developed cysts of any other nature previously. Does recurrence up the likelihood of a cancerous outcome? Is it possible to have a new kind of cyst?
