Avatar f tn I am not a Dr by any means, but can tell you experience about a ruptured cyst. I had numerous ovarian cysts, some would rupture, some would need surgery. When I would have a rupture usually it was a very serious, intense, double me over type pain that would ease in a couple of hours, but still feel tender. My last cyst that ruptured however did become a more emergent surgery for me.
Avatar f tn .Hi I'm 32 and was diganosed with ovarian cysts years ago, my problem is I've been really sick for @ 2 yrs and recently went to ER because I was so sick I couldn't move, that's where they found a 5-6 cm cysts growing. I switched Dr. last year because it just seemed that she wanted to put me on pills that didn't produce periods. I havn't had a period in 2 yrs and my symptoms are horrible.
Avatar f tn The slow transit gut was caused by an operation to remove some ovarian cysts, which means I have bad chronic constipation. 24 hours after going to the loo, I vomit pretty badly sometimes its stomach acid, sometiimes its bile. What can I do, the vomiting is making me feel really bad and I finding it harder and harder to recover from.
Avatar f tn Cysts are a normal part of the menstrual cycle and most go away on their own, no intervention needed, as yours did in 2012. You certainly don't want to undergo surgery unless it's necessary. Iron deficiency anemia is usually caused by heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding. Some women are more prone to becoming anemic than others. Eating iron rich foods and/or taking an iron supplement would be a good idea if your iron is indeed low.
579959 tn?1218310678 Yes, your cyst definitely causes those symptoms. Remember that over 95% of all cysts are benign. There is some good information on cysts on the health pages attached to this page (top right). It is possible that MedHelp will move your posting to the Ovarian Cyst forum but that is a good thing as all of us there have had a lot of experience with cysts whereas not everyone with Ovarian Cancer has.
Avatar f tn Hi there I came across this site looking answers/advice diagnosed with suspected adenomyosis. Just the month previous to this discovered I had a large (over 5cm) cyst on my left ovary. Having constant symptoms for both so least I know I'm not going mad after years of it. 256161 tn?1196879046 I know lyme causes all kinds of different cysts. I'm not sure about the ovarian cysts though as they are quite common in women in general. Flagyl is a cyst buster so if you have lyme you may feel the herx reaction.
Avatar f tn should i be concern,i have a ovarian mass 7.
Avatar f tn A woman without the BRCA mutation ( a genetic mutation which runs in families and causes ovarian cancer) has a 1.4% of getting ovarian cancer in a life time. The odds are very low it is ovarian cancer. 2. It is rarer still to get ovarian cancer before the age of 40. 3. By the time you have symptoms for ovarian cancer it would probably show up on a CT scan. Women do not have symptoms for ovarian cancer until they have had it awhile. 4.
Avatar f tn Did your doctor not follow up on this ultrasound? The odds are good you don't have it but you should have another transvaginal ultrasound to know your current status. The symptoms of ovarian cancer and cysts are very similar. In many cases they can't be sure until a cyst is removed and biopsied. Please don't ignore this.
Avatar n tn Polycystis Ovarian Syndrome was named for the appearance of the ovaries (which often are bumpy looking with lots of cysts on them), but it is certainly not the only symptom. It is important to understand that just because a woman have ovarian cysts doesn't mean she has PCOS. Blood work can help to diagnose PCOS. The cysts that appear with PCOS are a result of egg follicles not fully maturing or being released.
Avatar f tn I have a long history of ovarian cysts that usually go away, but also a family history of cancer. They came across a larger than usual one on my left side and started to watch it, as of now it has continued to grow and they're now considering it complex.
Avatar f tn I have a long history of ovarian cysts that usually go away, but also a family history of cancer. They came across a larger than usuall one on my left side and started to watch it, as of now it has continued to grow and they're now considering it complex. My question is they tested my Alpha-Fetoprotein levels and they are elevated, is this common with ovarian cysts or does this mean I need to be concerned with cancer? Any and all information would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn I'm not an expert but it does look like she has two ovarian cysts with one being a dermoid cyst. These can cause a lot of symptoms and hopefully she is now set to get this dealt with. Do take a look at the health pages (top right) for info on types of cysts and symptoms. In her case it is likely they will use a laparoscope and remove the cysts. What did they say the next steps were? It is likely that MedHelp will move your posting to the Ovarian Cyst forum.
Avatar f tn I have gained around 10 lbs in the past month, my stomach is bloated, breasts are swollen, cravings, ovary pain, frequent urination, irritability, vomiting, frequent migraines............ I have had problems with ovarian cysts before and now only have 1 ovary. What is wrong with me??
Avatar f tn I understand why she would be so worried, but plenty of women get cysts and go on to have healthy children. Even women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome can conceive. Cysts are mostly benign, especially in young women. They rarely turn out to be cancerous and they can either be monitored for a few weeks to see if they can go away on their own or with the help of birth control pills (or other meds) or they can be surgically removed, depending on the size of the cystic mass.
Avatar f tn Have you been diagnosed with PCOS? This condition causes the acne, weight gain and cysts. It is important to follow up with your doctor to see if you have this condition. It may help you avoid future cysts if you get treatment now. Often, hormones can be out of balance without PCOS and it causes those same symptoms. Usually, birth control pills are recommended to try to get your hormones regulated in cases where your system is out of balance.
Avatar f tn Male factors causing infertility are varicocoele, ejaculatory disorders, radiation exposure and advanced age. Ovarian cysts like polycystic ovarian disease can cause infertility. For more queries and assistance it is advised to consult a gynecologist. You will need evaluation for above mentioned causes. Consult an infertility expert. I sincerely hope it helps. Best wishes and regards!
1291547 tn?1272158606 Sometimes when I have my period and have cysts that have not yet ruptured they cause me enough pain to cause vomiting, sometimes I even pass out from the pain. I would say that if the pain has increased or become unbearable you need to seek the advice of a physician again. If in the meantime you make a decison not too, try a heating pad around the area that hurts the most.
Avatar m tn Erm I just got told hemaroid? I think! They're not doing anything apart from monitoring it but I can't explain the horrendous pain I'm in when I get one if my pains! It needs sorting but I don't know what todo next!
