Avatar n tn You may start to have either vomiting or diarrhea soon. It could also be due to ovarian cysts getting twisted. Another possibility is intestinal obstruction. It can also be cramping prior to periods which is a part of premenstrual tension. Urinary tract infection, urinary bladder infection, gas in gut, severe acidity, Crohn’s, IBS, food allergies etc all cause cramps. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral as a confirmed diagnosis is not possible on net.
Avatar m tn As the other poster said, larger ovarian cysts can cause urinary urgency. So can large uterine fibroids. Most cysts go away on their own within 2 or 3 cycles so I would not worry much unless your symptoms worsen especially if you start having pain which could be a sign of the cyst rupturing, leaking, or twisting the ovary. Since most cysts resolve on there own, there should not be any impact on fertility.
Avatar f tn MANY women lose an ovary or ovaries unnecessarily for ovarian cysts. Surgeons who have good cystectomy skills are almost always able to remove cysts leaving the ovary or a good amount of ovarian tissue intact as explained here http://ovaryresearch.com/ovarian_cysts.htm. The cyst can then be biopsied while you are in the operating room (frozen section) and should typically dictate the course of surgery.
Avatar m tn I had an ultrasound done that showed two ovarian cysts in my left ovary and right ovary appeared fine. Since then, my pain has been in right side near ovary, left side near ovary and sometimes even in my rib cage on my right side. I've had three times where I can't take a deep breath without feeling stabbing side ache in rib cage.
Avatar f tn I agree with Trudie about checking you out to see if you have ovarian cysts. They can produce similar symptoms and many times doctors think that your problems are related with IBS (intestinal bowel syndrome).
Avatar n tn Ovarian cysts can cause bladder and bowel problems. In my case it was due to the size of the ovarian cyst and the pressure it was placing on other organs. In my daughter's case, the abdominal pain with the ovarian cyst was severe and caused nausea. By the time we discovered that an ovarian cyst was causing the pain, she had become constipated, which added to her irregularity and discomfort. Like MarieMichele, before my ovarian cyst was removed, I had to eat very small amounts.
Avatar m tn A lot of the women I met on the ovarian cancer board put my mind at ease by saying 99.9% of cysts are benign. So I hope that helps. In 2007 I had surgery and was diagnosed with stage IV Endometriosis. What the mass was, was my entire insides wrapped around my uterus. So it had complex aspects to it that is why they couldn't tell.

Avatar f tn My symptoms are urinary problems (feels like a infection), nausea and difficulty eating more than small portions of food. Also pain in ovaries, stomach and under ribcage. Two weeks ago I was perfectly healthy, or so I thought...
Avatar f tn t found anything conclusive. Even so, I have had cysts in my feet near the ankle and they are related to rheumatoid problems. So, my question is can the value of the CA - 125 be elevated to do RA?
Avatar n tn Hi there. It is possible the pain could be due to cysts. I've never heard of a connection to coffee though. Do see your gyn and have a transvaginal ultrasound to be sure. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Get a little more information, there are lots of us who have had (or even still have) ovarian cysts... (And good luck, with whatever it actually ends up being!
Avatar f tn I have been having pelvic pain and urinary changes. CT showed ovarian cysts and I am having a Cystocopy next week to look at my bladder. My question and concern is that the CT noted a 3 cm mixed sclerotic and lytic lesion on my right iliac bone. I asked my doctor about it and he did not seemed concerned and wants to wait and do another xray in 4 months. Should this be investigated more and should I demand more testing?
Avatar f tn Now awaiting a surgery date (2 weeks +) and experiencing no further urinary problems (or other problems) and feeling generally normal, would it be advisable to maintain a light exercise regime or avoid unnecessary exercise completely at risk of rupture? I've received no medical advice on what I should or shouldn't do in the interim release from hospital. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Avatar f tn It's possible you have an ovarian cyst. They can cause bloating, urinary urgency, changes in bowel habits, even affect your appetite. The ultrasound is a good idea. If you find you do have a cyst or cysts, there is now a forum called "ovarian cysts" on this site. The women there, myself included, have been through all of this including various surgeries so we/they can help you. Hope you get a good report.
Avatar n tn Did you have frequent urination as a symptom of ovarian cysts? That seems to be mymost prominent symptom . That and I seem to never be able to fully empty my bladder. Also mild occasional pain in the low belly but this is a minor symtom that Im not concerned about really. Just wondering how often urinary frequency is connected with an ovarian cyst. THANKS!
Avatar n tn However ovarian cysts are very common, they can get extremely large; some causing pain and some that are cause no problems. Most women have cysts and never even know it. The reason for the hysterectomy is due to the HIGH risk of female cancers the metastasize to the uterus, endometrium and cervix that then in turn can follow to the peritoneal cavitiy and so on and so forth. Cancers are aggressive, but have good prognosis if you remove the source and the surrounding tissues.
1577584 tn?1296185081 The cyst is probably placing some pressure on the urinary tract and bowels. All these parts are very close together and it does not take much to cause discomfort to other body parts when a cyst develops and presses against something.
483733 tn?1326798446 You know... I read something the other day that tied smoking to Ovarian Cysts too. Now, I don't know if that's scientific or not.. But I used to be a heavy smoker. . Of course, they tie smoking to just about everything don't they?
Avatar f tn I get that. i have ovarian cysts and endometriosis. Both can cause the symptoms u are describing. My best advice is call the gyno and make a appointment. Do u have alot of pain in that area?
Avatar f tn Generally, you would not have all these symptoms with a 3.5cm ovarian cyst. However, cysts affect some women much more than others. So I suppose it is possible. Have you seen a doctor?
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts can cause a lot of different problems. It can cause upset stomach. I know how hard it is to wait. It seems like the day will never get here, but it will be here before you know it. Good luck and please keep us posted.
