Avatar f tn I am 33. I've been having urinary frequency and slight abdominal bloating i've been having urinary frequency and slight of Domino bloating for about six months for about 6 months. No UTI, urologist said I was good. Gyne did an U/S which showed a 5 cm septated cyst- and is concerned of ovarian cancer due to symptoms. I had a complex ovarian cyst on opposite ovary a year ago, but no symptoms. It resolved on its own within 5-6 months. I'm just worried.
Avatar n tn Did you have frequent urination as a symptom of ovarian cysts? That seems to be mymost prominent symptom . That and I seem to never be able to fully empty my bladder. Also mild occasional pain in the low belly but this is a minor symtom that Im not concerned about really. Just wondering how often urinary frequency is connected with an ovarian cyst. THANKS!
Avatar f tn When I was diagnosed, I had pelvic pain and urinary urgency and frequency. I also had been feeling quite fatigued. My periods and ovulations had become painful as had intercourse at times. I was surprised to have such terrible period cramps because I had had very few cramps since having my children. So, these symptoms were new and different for me. I also had back pain. The vague pelvic pain caused me to constantly need heat packs and ibuprofen.
Avatar f tn One possibility is a bladder infection which can be diagnosed with a urine culture. The other possibility for your pain and urinary frequency is active abdominal and/or pelvic muscle trigger points, which can also causer pain with intercourse and urinary frequency. Many women have fould collecting in the pelvis after ovulation. Also a 2 cm cyst is considered normal size and should not be the cause of your painful symptoms.
Avatar m tn I am 51 years old and starting menoupause. Had an pelvic ultrasound because of urinary frequency. This was the report: Uterus is anteverted, a 0.8 5.5 x 6.4 CM. There is subserosal myoma posteriorly, 3.0 CM. The endometrium measures 6 MM. The right ovary measures 1.9 x 1.7 x 3.4 CM The left ovary is not identified. There is a hypoechoic left adnexal mass 3.9 CM associated with acoustical shadowing. There is no bladder mass or calculus. The postvoid residual is 114 cc. IMPRESSION: 3.
Avatar f tn ve had a distended abdomen (which looks like im 3 months pregnant) with urgency and frequency in urination. My bladder also feels very heavy and full all the time but my OBGYN said the swelling is in my lower abdomen not my bladder and is sending me to get an ultrasound....anyone have any clue what could be wrong? MY urine culture shows no bacteria and I have no pain.
Avatar f tn For the past few weeks I have been experiencing, nausea, indigestion along with some back pain and urinary frequency- i am worried that these may be symptoms of ovarian cancer. I recently gave birth (6 months ago) and was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis 3 years ago which normally presents itself in my case with pain in pelvic area which i do not have at the moment. I hope you can give some advice.I am becoming increasingly worried as the symptoms persist.
1832630 tn?1318056776 Symptoms include abnormal gynecologic haemorrhage, heavy or painful periods, abdominal discomfort or bloating, pelvic pain, back ache, difficulty having a bowel movement or painful bowel movements, urinary frequency or retention, and in some cases, infertility. During pregnancy they may be the cause of miscarriage, bleeding, premature labor, or interference with the position of the fetus. * A disc protrusion is also called bulging disc, ruptured disk, slipped disc, or herniated disc.
1278564 tn?1271144599 bowel habbits have changed no matter what I eat, + plus frequency in how often to urinate (no urinary infection)
Avatar m tn As the other poster said, larger ovarian cysts can cause urinary urgency. So can large uterine fibroids. Most cysts go away on their own within 2 or 3 cycles so I would not worry much unless your symptoms worsen especially if you start having pain which could be a sign of the cyst rupturing, leaking, or twisting the ovary. Since most cysts resolve on there own, there should not be any impact on fertility.
Avatar f tn ve had multiple health issues, probably the largest being juvenile rheumatoid arthritis which started at the age of 10 and has caused me to have total replacements for 3 joints (both hips and 1 shoulder). My rather large ovarian cyst was discovered in 2005 while undergoing testing for gallbladder problems (the gallbladder was removed that year due to stones). Since then, I've been followed for the cyst at different intervals, 3 months, 6 months, and then 1 year with ultrasound exams.
Avatar m tn of food, loss of weight and urinary frequency. Good luck to your wife. Let us know what the tests show.....
Avatar n tn The ultrasound tech told me its 8cm and blood filled. The only symptoms i have are pressure in the lower abdomen and urinary frequency. She did tell me its pushing right up against my bladder. I of course found out these results late on a friday afternoon and have to wait until monday to schedule an appointment with my GYN. Until then i am trying to learn all i can about cysts and came across this great forum.
Avatar n tn In the last year the urinary problem was more evident frequency and latterly acute retention pain in the tail bone and rectum also . My scan revealed a large Ovarian Mass I subsequently had a TAH, BSO, removal of cervix and Omentum. My Pathology report was not favourable I am so grateful to my Gynacologist/Oncologist for their support and guidance. Good luck with your Surgery.
Avatar n tn Take a look at the health pages (top right) and you will see info on types of cysts and symptoms. Good luck with your appointment and if it is cysts come on over to the Ovarian Cyst forum and we have a lot of experienced ladies there who can help.
Avatar n tn I had a lot of rectal pressure and back pain with ovulation now just having shooting pains off and on and some urinary frequency. I called my gyn but due to it being Friday afternoon can't talk to him until Monday to schedule ultrasound. Could this be cancer? Advanced?
Avatar f tn I think you should go in to your gyn and don't wait. It isn't likely that it is cancer. But, you could have cysts, a hormone imbalance or some other issue that can be resolved. A transvaginal ultrasound will be able to detect any masses on the ovaries. Ask your dr. for one. Most of the symptoms, unfortunately, are common with many issues. It is never good to overlook them because early detection is the key. I was dx at age 37 with stage 1a ovarian cancer.
Avatar n tn My urine also has kind of a funky smell, this is NOT after sex. I had gone to my doctor for a urinary tract infection and I tested negative. I need help figuring out whats going on.
Avatar f tn Good morning, I was diagnosed with a 4cm right adnexal mass (next to my one remaining ovary - had TAH in 2006) last week by a urologist (am having issues with urinary frequency and incontinence). As I await my gyno appointment next week to determine best course of action, I continue to experience right side stomach pain. BUT, I have had a back ache for almost a year, lower lumbar right side. Can the right side lower back ache possibly be attributed to the right side adnexal mass?
Avatar n tn Hi there. It is possible the pain could be due to cysts. I've never heard of a connection to coffee though. Do see your gyn and have a transvaginal ultrasound to be sure. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I have been having pelvic pain and urinary changes. CT showed ovarian cysts and I am having a Cystocopy next week to look at my bladder. My question and concern is that the CT noted a 3 cm mixed sclerotic and lytic lesion on my right iliac bone. I asked my doctor about it and he did not seemed concerned and wants to wait and do another xray in 4 months. Should this be investigated more and should I demand more testing?
400867 tn?1371753094 I have a small 1.7 complex cyst now. I started off with urinary frequency at the end of october and that went away but i still have this weird pelvic/bladder pressure especially when i'm sitting down. Feels like a tightness in my pelvic area. Hopefully it goes away with my next period. Hope you feel better soon!
Avatar n tn Went to gyn and she tested my urine and said it was a uti. Sent it for a culture and this came back negative. She also removed the pessiary. About 3 years ago the Dr did a test to rule out cancer and said I had cystitis. The gynecologist found protein in my urine and I always have a small trace in it. Now I have no pain, I just have to urinate all the time. This is driving me nuts. Don't know what to do next. Anyone else going through this?
Avatar f tn I'm 67 years old. I've been having urinary frequency and I had a post void retention test done and it was 50ml. My urologist told me I'm not emptying my bladder completely but isn't she wrong. Is a 50ml a normal value?
Avatar n tn Then Im fne for a month and the frequency returns. Went to my gyn and she said my bladder has dropped(but not bad) and did a urethal stretch. My problem seems worse now. Don't think I am emptying fully as in the morning I have to go every 5 minutes. Im really at a loss as what to do. Any suggestions?
