Avatar f tn Last two nights I had major night sweats. Made the mistake of going online..what could it be??!! I'm reading anything from perimenopause (wouldn't that just be my luck), to premature ovarian failure, to symptom of pcos (which I've been diagnosed with) to pregnancy. Help! I'm only 29.
Avatar f tn Ladies, I'm 31 and I've had night sweats for a few years now. I work in the OR and just in the past 2 years have received quite a bit of OB-GYN procedure training. First, after reading through all of these comments and questions I will tell you I have never heard of a "Post Tubal Ligation" Syndrome....I need to look into that and confirm whether it is a true syndrome at all.
Avatar n tn i had my right ovary and fallopian tube removed 4 weeks ago due to a very large cyst being attached to my ovary. Ever since then i have suffered really awful and bad night sweats. I have discussed it with the doctor but he has said it is a hormone unbalance and the left ovary is playing catch up and needs to work for both ovaries now the right one has gone and this may take a while. In the mean time i am literally surviving on 2 hours sleep a night.
Avatar f tn The symptoms of ovarian cancer, ovarian cysts, IBS and about 100 syndromes are the same. Did the cyst on your ovary "light up" on the PET Scan? My suggestion would be, and no I do not think that you have cancer, to see a GYN/Oncologist, they are the experts with 3 years additional training and often treat benign conditions. Maybe you can ask for a referral or send copies of your tests to a GYN/Oncologist. Ovariain cancer is a rare disease and most cysts are benign.
Avatar f tn These were found on an ultrasound because of night sweats and my cycle was messed up after years of being on schedule. So anyways, in the last month I have been having severe hot flashes, about 3 a night. I also gained some weight and lost my sex drive. Has anyone else had these symptoms w/ ovarian cysts. I have been tested and I am not in menopause! Any advise would be helpful. thanks!
Avatar f tn Has anyone downloaded the book "Ovarian Cysts No More" and used the program? Is it a scam or is it worth trying? I have a very large cyst and my appointment with the surgeon is still two weeks away. I am desperate to do anything in the meantime that could help shrink this cyst.
Avatar f tn She started me on Lo-Seasonique to try to regulate hormone levels, and my GP started me on Lunesta for the insomnia. I still have the INSANE hot flashes, night sweats, and moodiness. Could it be ovarian failure, or is this maybe the left ovary having difficulty trying to keep up with the hormone balance now that its "partner" is gone? Thank you so much!
330478 tn?1278284916 My periods are unbearable, i am currently on a narcotic to help with the pain during my period and just within the last week i have started experiencing night sweats. My bedroom is on top of the garage, so night sweats for me is really odd as my room is especially cold during the wintertime. I had an ultrasound done in September that showed a couple small cysts, but with my increasing pains and now these night sweats.. i don't know what is going on with my body.
Avatar m tn frequent urination, nausea, night sweats, fatigue, lightheadedness. Can anyone tell me if they experienced any of these. I can't tell if it is normal or from my nerves. I am conviced the cyst will be malignant and am terrified!
1550253 tn?1359048669 So for the past month, I have been experiencing stomach issues. Every day, all day and night. My stomach is constantly crampy and makes sounds, I am either constipated or I have diarrhea (sometimes both within the same day), I am bloated, gassy, I have heartburn and acid reflux as well. My husband has IBS and all of my symptoms seem to point to that right now...but... I also started having strange symptoms at around the same time my stomach issues started.
Avatar f tn I never had night sweats with menopause and have a hysterectomy. My sheets, pillow and nightgown are soaked every night for over a month, but I am cold. I kept forgetting to tell my doctor. I am calling tomorrow. Not to jump to conclusions, but I read that this is a sign of lymphoma. I just had a CT Scan and they said my lymph nodes were fine. Has anyone else had this with cancer in general. I was on Carbo/taxol, but it has been a month off and now am 5 days into Doxil.
Avatar f tn I am going back on the pill for 6 months to see if it changes things.. I have had night sweats and severe mood swings too and feel the doctors think I should just put up with it. I was told that if my cyst was still there after 2 cycles it would be removed by laparoscopy and mine was 3.7cm. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn ve been getting real bad hot flashes and night sweats for the last 6 months (I wake up in puddles throughout the night). Could these be related? I have never had anything removed...... is there a possibility I'm going through early menopause???
Avatar f tn hello dr. and other members... it's hard to know where to start. so i will list my current symptoms & brief past medical history. i'm just curious if you have any thoughts or suggestions. I'm 39 y/o. this back pain is really getting the best of me and affecting my sleep, therefore affecting my job and other daily activities. thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn It sounds to me like your hormones may be off balance. Has anyone done a blood test to check your hormone levels? I'm pretty sure that at 22 years of age and 2 children later, you're not in menopause but, something is causing these night sweats and you shouldn't have to suffer through them because your doc doesn't know and is not looking any further as to the cause.
Avatar f tn You just need the cyst out. Ovarian Cysts are 98% benign. Unless you have the BRCA gene you have a 1.4% chance of Ovarian cancer in a life time. It is less the younger you are. Hysterectomies cause problems. Especially if you have your ovaries out. You need your ovaries for as ex life. With them gone that is changed forever. Bone density. Night sweats. Hot flashes. There can be even more problems. Plus your uterus holds the other organs in place.
415867 tn?1323365503 You definitely need to see an endocrinologist, possibly even a reproductive endocrinologist. Night sweats are a sign of hormone imbalance and menopause. Have you had any bloating or known ovarian cysts? PCOS is often a result of hormone imbalances and can cause weight gain.
Avatar f tn I soak the bedding every night. May be 25 sweats a night. I wish I could have kept my ovaries. They could probably do ovaries as a day surgery. It has to be your decision and I would stick by you. No one told me what would happen after. I wish I had at least been told by the doctor.
Avatar f tn I feel your pain! I have ovarian cysts and have had one rupture. It was extremely painful. I have been having regular hot flashes, tender breasts, painful sex, and no period for four months. (and I have always been very regular, unless I'm nursing.) The hot flashes started a week after my last period so, I'm pretty sure I'm beginning the change and I'm only 28. It can happen. The doctors often don't know for sure either, but at least they can tell you if it is something else.
Avatar f tn If I were you , I would go for a pap smear and get an internal done to see if a cyst can be felt , if nothing is felt on examination ask for a transvaginal ultrasound , this detects cysts and fibroids etc and is a painless test. Im sure everything will be ok, most women have the odd blip and things straighten themselves out . Its always best to be proactive with your health . Try not to worry and good luck.
Avatar n tn could this be fibroids, sign of ovarian cancer or what. I use to keep cysts on my ovaries and have irregular periods Please help.
