Avatar f tn After multiple tests (ultrasound, ct scan and MRI) I was told I have complex ovarian cysts 5×4 cm on both ovaries and pancreatic cyst that is over 1cm . I have 2 questions. 1. Since I very much refuse and will be refusing contraceptives , how else naturally can I cure ovarian cysts? 2. Can acidic taste in my mouth with coating on my tongue and lower back pain be due to pancreatic cyst?

5197022 tn?1365019332 Hi I am 54 and at the age of 21 had 3 ovarian cysts rupture and severe endometriosis which was very painful. That lead to 10 years of problems, no periods infections so many I cant count. Second fertility, I all ready had 1 child, and constant pain. I had a specialist finally help me and the adhesion which were wrapped around my tubes, uterus all of it. Major surgery and 1 yr later I got my period I was 32 aprox .
Avatar n tn D and C or ablation is done for heavy periods resulting from endometrial hyperplasia and not for ovarian cysts. If you want to go the natural way then you can wait for a spontaneous regression of the ovarian cyst. This will require follow up with frequent ultrasound scans. Hope this helps. Take care and good luck.

Avatar n tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts.
Avatar f tn I have found in my practice, that if I suppress both cysts AND menstrual periods with depot Lupron, and it HELPS, then a hysterectomy likely will too. If is doesn't help, a hysterectomy likely won't. Chronic pain is very poorly understood, and has to do with how the nerves of the body "remember" pain. It also often leads to depression (not vice versa as many doctors would suggest).
222322 tn?1271022838 I am new to this board and to cyst. I have been doing some research on endometriosis and ovarian cysts (my own, I am not a dr). I think your diet changes and working out are great ideas. You could also try to eliminate dairy and alcohol. I am reading Christine Northrup's book about women's health and problems with our ovaries can be related to stress in our lives especially - being critical and controlling or being controlled and criticized by others.
1720730 tn?1309294631 i am 15 and i have had two very large ovarian cysts and i had my right ovary taken out last august and now i found out that i have another ovarian cyst on my left ovary and i am very scared what are some ways to treat it besides surgery it is a large hemorrhagic ovarian cyst.
Avatar f tn Hi I just wondered if anybody has had a ovarian cyst and treated it with natural herbs instead of surgery. I was looking for an alternative method on internet and came a across a website called ****************.com that sold ovarian cysts kit and was wondering if anybody has tried it and what the outcome was.
720499 tn?1230845510 ve heard quite the opposite regarding ovulation and ovarian cysts. Many times patients are placed on birth control pills to halt ovulation. Cysts are a normal part of ovulation and no ovulation, no cysts. It's just that sometimes the cyst doesn't disappear as it should. At least that's the treatment for a number of ladies on here . Also, regarding fertility.. you may still conceive with one ovary.. it "takes over" the job of the missing ovary.
Avatar f tn Cysts may cause a lot of pain and discomfort, but not always. Most cysts are benign whether they are big/small, complex/functional.
Avatar n tn 5 years with no sucess. I had a BFN with IUI. Has any one used natural progestrone cream for endometriosis and does it effect your fertility ? i know that I need a lap,but don't know when i will have it.
Avatar n tn I just wanted to mention that the Ovarian Cysts Community forum is actually separate from the Ovarian Cysts Expert forum. It is rather confusing and I didn't want you to be waiting for doctor Goodman's reply and not understand if she doesn't respond to you. If you would like to hear from the doctor, go to the forum main page and click on the expert forum under Ovarian Cysts, which is on the right hand side of the page. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I am not familiar with that book or any books about ovarian cysts. Let us know if you try any of the recommended treatments and if they work for you. Best of luck!

Avatar n tn bilateral = both sides poly = many cystic = cysts (just a word and nothing bad is meant by it woman produce one to two cysts once a month to release ova for fertilization) ovarian = pertaining to the ovaries disease = something that should not be happening maturing follicle in the left ovary is exactly what happens near ovulation PCOS = most times women produce one functional cyst per month ...
Avatar f tn You have stiff neck? RA symptoms? Chronic hadaches? stomach and bowell issues? ovarian cysts or a hysterstomy? brain "fog", vertigo, anxiety? If so your Fibro might be in fact a mycoplasma infection or possibly Lymes. Can you give me a full report of your symptoms? Search www.immed.org and look under AI diseases/chronic illness.
Avatar m tn No, or I should say highly unlikely. Ovarian cysts may rupture or 'twist' and when that happens it will feel like sharp stabbing pains. You may also get, as part of cysts, irregular periods or heavier periods. Your physician/obgyn (or the ER depending on pain level, etc) should be contacted in any of those cases or when anything 'feels' different. But, no, dying is not likely. The physician can give you more details.
Avatar f tn I am sorry you are going through this. I had an ovarian cyst and wish my gynecologist had taken a conservative approach. Instead, I was rushed into surgery and over-treated. Scar tissue is a real risk. And there are other risks such as losing the ovaries and their life-long vital functions. Or even if the ovaries are not removed, the surgery could affect their function.
Avatar f tn Could my recurrence of Ovarian cancer be attributed to my taking Evista for a year? I had ovarian cancer 15 years ago and after surgery and chemo, and a "second look" surgery with multiple biopsies was considered cured.I had a complete hysterectomy and the cancer seemed to be contained in my left ovary. Last winter I found a lump in my left groin which was biopsied and diagnosed as ovarian malignancy.
Avatar f tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own. A Bulky Uterus is a condition where a woman's uterus gets a benign growth that gets progressively larger with time. It can be due to adenomyosis. The typical signs of adenomyosis are prolonged, heavy bleeding during your periods or severe cramping.
Avatar f tn My right Ovary became 9cm in size, located after continious lower right quadrant pain, irregular periods. The Doctors were unable to definitively tell me that it was 'not' cancer, without operating. I had an Oopherectomy done a month later, and found the Tumor to be benign fluid filled: no cancer. You will instinctively know what you are dealing with, but if you are not comfortable with the information your Doctors have told you now.....get a second opinion.
