Avatar f tn had the ct scan yesterday and they found nothing. No kidney stones, appendix looks ok and no ovarian cysts. I feel like I am back to square one! Went straight back to the doctors in the afternoon and she is puzzled. She said she wants to look at the ct scan/analysis herself and to see me again on Monday. She's given me some extra pain killers and told me to take the following. 8x paracetamol, 3x diclofenac, 4-8 codeine a day.
1068834 tn?1294009992 I was considering that it could be an intestinal blockage and the low abdominal and back pain is due to a nerve. It will be interesting to see what you are diagnosed with. Good luck !
Avatar f tn I got on birth control (progestin) and it helped me regulate my period and I stopped getting them but I stop so the cyst came back. When they cane back it seemed to happen like back to back ruptures. Now I’m have serve lower back pain. Is this possible?
Avatar f tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts.
Avatar m tn Yes, it can be. Ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and other conditions can all cause back pain.
Avatar f tn I am 16 years old, I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts after many times to the hospital in may. I've been to my OB several of times. But everytime I go she kinda brushes off my symptoms. I'm having fatigue, low energy, frequent headaches, back pain, hip pain, and of course low abdominal pain. I'm also in constant pain, at times it gets worse.
Avatar n tn Nope ovarian cysts don't cause back pain. I had ovarian cysts and most of my pain was where the ovaries were.
Avatar f tn Did you get any info on this.. i am similar problem.
Avatar n tn My doctor started me on the nuva ring in hopes that it would help with the pain from bilateral ovarian simple cysts that measure 5cm and 4.2 cm. If anyone has experience with this type of treatment please respond to the following questions. Does birth control help with the pain from ovarian cysts? Does using birth control help ressolve the existing cysts? How long does it take for birth control to show progress in pain and resolution of ovarian cysts?
Avatar n tn I have vomiting, low fever, dizziness, constipation, frequent urination, nausea, tender breast, pelvis region that is sensitive to the touch, and low back pain (left side), as well as very severe stabbing pain over my left ovary. What should I do to get my doctor's to listen to me and test me for infections and cancer? What tests or procedures should I ask for? Finally, does this sound like cancer or is it something else?
Avatar n tn For a month now, I have had severe pain in low right pelvis, low back and right hip. I also have had pain in the lymph nodes in back of neck, right groin and today it started in right arm pit. I feel nauseated off and on, totally out of my mind and foggy. My eyes will start burning and recently started running very low grade temp off and on. I feel my body is fighting something. Oh and the last week, I have noticed difficulty breathing sometimes....so weird.
Avatar n tn What you are describing can be symptoms for many things. These can include ovarian cysts and ovarian cancer. Since it is pretty rare for women your age to have ovarian cancer and since more than 95% of all cysts are benign let's asssume you are dealing with a cyst. I had all the symptoms you are describing and had benign cysts. You should check out the health pages (top right) and look at the listing for types of cysts and symptoms.
11091907 tn?1415221745 Been to the doctor and they gave me some pain meds and scheduled me for another ultrasound to determine when the surgery is. I have not felt pain like this since I was diagnosed. Sometimes it hurts so bad to even walk. Not sure what to do. Called the doctor and they told me to keep going to the ER to get the cycts looked at. Don't know how much more of this pain I can take.
Avatar n tn What is the difference between ovarian cysts and ovarian cancer. I haven't had a period for 3 months now and I have a sharp pain in my lower right side, as well as back pain, especially in the mornings. once in a while i am off balance when walking. i am bloated, and a lot of times i don't have an appetite.
Avatar n tn m still having pelvic pain and my question is should i go back and see my obgyn or should i just wait and see if this cyst are going to go away on their own.
Avatar f tn The right ovary is enlarged and measures 8.2 x 4.9 x 4.0 cm. There is a complex ovarian mass that measures 5.3 x 3.1 x 3.6 cm fine low level internal echoes. There is another complex cystic lesion that measures 3.0 x 2.4 x 3.4 cm with fine low level Lacey echoes. No flow is identified within these lesions and they likely represent hemorrhagic cysts. A simple cyst is also noted measuring 4.3 x 2.4 x 3.4 cm. And the report states that I have free fluid by my vaginal cuff.
356929 tn?1246389756 Had abdominal CT scan in August (to check liver) and was told that I have fatty liver and ovarian cysts (minor notation on report). Side pain has gotten worse and enzymes still elevated. Had second abdominal CT scan to get a better look at liver and pancreas. Was told everything looked okay (still have fatty liver) but the ovarian cysts have grown.
Avatar f tn I get abdominal pain, back pain, pain on my thighs, bloating and nausea. However, what really affects my daily life is the fatigue. I am always very tired, I feel like everything aches and just want to sleep. I work but lack the energy to go through an entire day without feeling I need to sleep! Is anyone else experiencing fatigue... similar symptoms?
Avatar f tn After multiple tests (ultrasound, ct scan and MRI) I was told I have complex ovarian cysts 5×4 cm on both ovaries and pancreatic cyst that is over 1cm . I have 2 questions. 1. Since I very much refuse and will be refusing contraceptives , how else naturally can I cure ovarian cysts? 2. Can acidic taste in my mouth with coating on my tongue and lower back pain be due to pancreatic cyst?
Avatar f tn As soon as it was done the tech said we are going to show this to the radiologist and be right back. After sometime she came back and said we found no damage around your bladder but you do have a cyst on your ovary that is almost twice the size of your ovary. She said the radiologist would be calling my doctor this am with this information. Now I have always heard that ovarian cysts are not cancerous. Am I wrong? Can they be?
Avatar f tn Those cysts could easily be contributing to back pain and some or all of your other symptoms. Maybe some are side effects from those medicines and thyroid issues, but I cannot say for sure. Cyst symptoms mimic those of thyroid problems. It sounds like you need those cysts surgically removed as soon as possible. They could be benign and still cause that much trouble.
Avatar f tn My doctor found it 2 years ago and was monitoring it and now that is was 4 inches and causing pain he removed it. I had so many problems with losing weight and I am only 25. I eat totally right. Could these be the cause?

Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts are very common and affect mainly women in their 30s and 40s. Women who are past menopause (ages 50-70) and have ovarian cysts have a higher risk of having ovarian cancer. The only way to diagnose ovarian cancer is looking at the cells under a microscope. There are tumour markers the doctors can test for called CA-125 and CA19-9 (both are blood tests) however numbers can be higher due to inflammation.
