I spent 5 days in the hospital in January because of a ruptured right ovarian cyst. They thought appendicitis and found the cyst after a colonoscopy. This month my period was 3 weeks late. I recently finished it. I had my tubes tied in November. I have a history of 2 ectopic pregnancies. Never had other female problems like cysts. For the past 3 weeks I've had left lower abdominal pain and burning in the rest of my abdomen. I have no bowel problems.
5cm cyst on my right ovary which contains nultiple internal small, mildly thick walled cysts and my left ovary contains a complex heterogeneous nodule which meaures 2.5cm.. Now is this something i should be worried about and look to another doctor for a second opinion or just act like the midwife and brush it off my shoulder,,, help please.. Also i have been having irregular periods and intercourse is painful..Will i have to get them removed??
I am no DR but am a little confused as to how the ruptured cyst delivered blood into your stomach. Ovarian Cysts are in the abdominal cavity and when they rurture fluid or in your case blood can be seen throughout that open abdominal cavity. But the stomach is closed off and attached to the intestines. The only way into the stomach is through the esophugus or intestines.
Maybe I'm just confused and you or someone else can explain it to me.

Monday morning I woke up and could barely move my left arm because of pain in my shoulder. This pain was very bad and went on for two days without relief. Now, it comes and goes but is not as bad. I have also been sick to my stomach all week and just felt weak and fatigued.
I have an appt with the gyn next week. I dont know if this sounds more like a cyst, the endo, or ectopic pregnancy.
Does the shoulder pain with the ectopic come and go, or is it constant?

I know you are going through alot. I am going through the same thing. Trying to deciede what is right my pain is on the left side and before everyone said it was in my mind. I too have blood pressue and migraines. I don't want to go into early menopause. They I will have different issues. I think what I want to do is try the D&C again and then see if they can do the endometrial ablation. I have the shoulder pain and back pain.

Please rest assured that ovarian cysts and cancer have most of the same symptoms. 95% of ovarian cysts are non cancerous. Hello I have Ben bleeding very heavily for 22 days it has just stopped huge clots even with doubling up protection I was bleeding through every half hour have been through over 140 tampons plus pads endless washing sheets etc.
I was diagnosed with a cyst on my right ovary about two months ago, however I have been experiencing much pain on the left side? I went to a OB/GYN and he believe its painful menstruation only...I have never had difficulty with my menses before and suddenly this has changed and they are now very painful. When pushing on my lower abdominal area I can feel a hardened vein-type shape almost parallel to my hip bone that is quite tender.
Hi Chrissie, you poor thing pain everywhere, interesting you say about your shoulder pain,i have had terrible shoulder pain for the past twelve mths since my last surgery, mentioned it too my doctor who said that it was not unusual after surgery as you get pulled about abit, but it has continued for twelve mths. I too have a cyst on the right ovary,any connections i dont know, but i have heard this mentioned before.
But I have shoulder blade pain on my left side and around my left boob. My stomach is constantly making noises and it feels like something's movie(even though there isn't lol) I don't have insurance so I don't want to go the doctors unless it seems like a need . Lol . I have had left ovary area pain for quite some time now. I do have a cyst on both ovaries and have them checked regularly. I have also had blood work done for cancer, I had a colonoscopy not too long ago and it was normal. Also on a regular basis while asleep the pain will wake me up. I try to pull my leg up so I can lay in the fetal position, but the pain on my left side radiates down my leg and i literally have to pull my leg up with my arms.

Common things being common, fibroids, which are benign muscle growths of the wall of the uterus, can give you pain and heavy bleeding. Ovarian cysts can be related to ovulation, or benign growths, endometriosis and so on. To sort that out, usually repeat scans are obtained over 3 to 6 months to see dynamically how the cysts come and go.

What you are describing can be symptoms for many things. These can include ovarian cysts and ovarian cancer. Since it is pretty rare for women your age to have ovarian cancer and since more than 95% of all cysts are benign let's asssume you are dealing with a cyst. I have pain on my left side. The pain is more severe when I have to urinate and my bladder is full. It is also more painful when I need to empty my bowels. All he found was small cysts on my left ovary, which he drained. The pain on my left side started after 10 months after I had my tubes blocked (essure procedure). I have been Dx with Costochronditis because of pain in chest in breast, Ovarian Polycystitis Disease because of cysts, in balanced hormones, and back pain. An RA doctor dx my with Inflammatory Arthritis. I have had a couple of false + Lupus tests with high sediment rates every time. Another GP said I have DGD in lower back and a broken tail bone. I have had tendonitis in right arm from elbow down through fingers , right arm - right handed.
