168348 tn?1379357075 I have 2 ovarian cysts (at the moment) and kidney stones (mine, too, stay in the kidney!) and i get very very sick and the pain gets so bad sometimes that all i want to do is sleep to pass the time, but sometimes i can't even sleep. the pain is the worst before menstruation. i'm 15 so it's hard to deal with the pain when i'm trying to do well in school.
Avatar f tn m not going to give you my advice on that aspect of it but I am a pro when it comes to ovarian cysts, so I will try and shed some light on ovarian cysts for you.. at least the best i can. I myself have had 3 surgeries in the past 2 years regarding ovarian cysts. I have had well over 10 ovarian cysts, 6 of which were removed. Your cyst is very small, I wouldn't worry too much about the ovarian cyst.
Avatar f tn had the ct scan yesterday and they found nothing. No kidney stones, appendix looks ok and no ovarian cysts. I feel like I am back to square one! Went straight back to the doctors in the afternoon and she is puzzled. She said she wants to look at the ct scan/analysis herself and to see me again on Monday. She's given me some extra pain killers and told me to take the following. 8x paracetamol, 3x diclofenac, 4-8 codeine a day.
Avatar f tn However, it depends on the type of ovarian cyst (endometrioma or PCOS). Other cysts like functional cysts, cystadenomas and dermoid cysts are also there. You need to get your daughter examined from a gynecologist as treatment depends on the type of cyst. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.

Avatar f tn I'm 18 weeks 5 days and I've been feeling a slight pain on my left side that in almost positive is ovarian pain. It's similar to menstral cramps. Last week I started feeling little flutters that I'm sure is the baby.
Avatar f tn An ultrasound is the way to go. I thought I had a kidney stone too. The internet has 5 year old stuff on ovarian cancer and it is no longer accurate. They used to say life expectancy was a couple to 5 years. Now it is past ten in most cases. It is important to go to the best hospital you can. I went to the University of North Carolina thinking it would be good. They have a big new cancer hospital. The only cancer they do not treat in the cancer hospital is ovarian.
Avatar f tn I too have Ovarian Remnent Syndrome...and have had re-curring cysts in the pelvic area. I too am an Ovarian Cancer survivior, stage 1A. I too have cysts on my kidneys. Now, all that being said, I have had a total of two surgeries and although there are more cysts...the doctors are not too keen on a 3rd sugery because of all the risks. The doctors have also mentioned that some people are just cystic and develop these things....doesn't mean that it is cancer.
Avatar f tn Obviously, I am concerned with having malignant tumors. Does anyone know if cysts and/or kidney stones could have that effect on WBC count? Any input would be appreciated.
Avatar m tn Advertisement You are here: Experts > Health/Fitness > Nephrology > Nephrology > Renal Cyst and Back pain Nephrology - Renal Cyst and Back pain Question Dr. Falkinburg, I am a chiropractor and i have a patient with a single large renal cyst. Avatar n tn ) Its often a dull ache, occasionally with the odd shooting pain to the left or the right but both tend to come and go, it isnt a constant pain and it did go for a couple of days but came back again. I have been to the dr and he said "I doubt its cancer so dont worry." This isnt really the response I was hoping for because something is causing it. I know cancer is often misdiagnosed and I wonder if I should press this matter with my dr and tell him I want some tests to be sure?
Avatar n tn Nope ovarian cysts don't cause back pain. I had ovarian cysts and most of my pain was where the ovaries were.
Avatar f tn I have had ovarian cysts in the past. I also have gi symptoms including alot of gas, and some pain under my breasts, upper rib cage. I don't have any bloating, or increased abdominal size. I recently had a colonoscopy which was normal. The dr is sending me for a cat scan to check for kidney stones and ovarian cysts. I am very worried this could be ovarian cancer. I have afamily history of colon cancer (father). Am i being irrational, or should I be very worried?
Avatar f tn Given your history with cysts and endometriosis, I would get a third opinon. With a cyst that large, surgery will be needed.. my gyno didnt even play the waiting game with my 2 surgerys, my cysts were 5cm and 7cm, on in each ovary the first time, I left his office and was sent right to the hospital tht day to be and add on for surgery. Second time around, it was a 3 month wait for surgery, thts it. I would absolutely get things checked out again by another dr.
Avatar f tn I was pregnant at the time and kept complaining of severe back pain, nausea and stomach pain. The doctor wrote it off as pregnancy issues. Come January I became severely ill and went to l&d. It was found that I had severe hydronophrosis and I had to have a nophrostomy tube put in.
Avatar n tn I had to go to the hospital, They said it could be kidney stones, appendicitis,or ovarian cyst. I have a history of abnormal paps and endometriosis, I am scared it is cancer. I dont have insurance if anyone can share some info I would realy appretiate it.
Avatar f tn Kidney cysts are normally painless and they are common. Also kidney pain is usually experience in the flank area of your back and your side. If the pain is directly under your right ribcage: upper right quadrant...there is a plethora of causes that are possible. It could be a fatty liver, gallstones, gallbladder disorder, liver disorders, adhesions ( if you ever had surgery im that region) hernia..etc, etc.
Avatar m tn I have this recurring pain on my left side from the narrowest part of my waist to my low abdomen. In December it was really bad and I went to the ER. They did an ultrasound and said the pain was caused by ovarian cysts. That part wasn't surprising because I've had them before, but it surprised me that the pain could radiate so far up my side. Has anyone else had this?
Avatar n tn My sons girlfriend has been admitted to hospital in the early hours of this morning with abdominal pains and sickness, They are testing for both appendicitis and ovarian cysts She is only 18 and I thought it was over 40 that cysts occured. I am looking to reassure a very frightened girl.
Avatar f tn Two c-sections, probably 200 ultrasounds through those 2 high risk pregnancies and 5 iuis and IVFs, a gallbladder removal, and a laparoscopy for possible endometriosis and NO diagnosis before today of a pelvic kidney???? And yet I have cyst pain, hair loss, and constant bleeding that is unrelated to this diagnosis of a pelvic kidney. Makes no sense whatsoever. Meet with a nephrologist on Wednesday. I think they are nuts.
Avatar f tn Some docs say that the cysts are not suppposed to hurt. Does polycystic ovarian syndrome cause excruciating pain? If not, what could be wrong with me. My mom died from cancer and i am worried that it could be.
Avatar n tn What exactly did they tell you about the ovarian cysts? Size? Quantity? Type? They could cause a lot of pain if they rupture and that pain lingers and causes tenderness. There's no treatment for it other than pain killers and watching for possible infection. Maybe you had one or more cysts that formed and ruptured. I don't know enough about kidney stones to comment on that possibility.
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts in people of your age are very rarely cancerous, but as you are experiencing symptoms such as pain and you may need some treatment to relieve the pain and get your periods back to normal. Avatar f tn I am 57 and have been menopausal for 8 years. I've had ovarian cysts before and never bore children because I did not get pregnant. A year ago I went to the doc because I had discomfort in the right side of my belly and told her I thought I had cysts, which she almost scoffed at because of my age. I do have 3 large cysts, fibroids and possibly endometriosis. There are calcium deposits in many places.
5138647 tn?1364232335 I am 32 and have dealt with ovarian cysts for over 12 years now. I have never in my life had a regular period. I have had surgery twice to remove cysts that wouldn't go away and were bothersome. I have also had endometriosis that they saw during surgery and got that taken care of that day. I will sometimes experience pain in what feels like is in my ovaries but it normally goes away within a few minutes.
