600006 tn?1219851570 The Doctor told me that the cysts were normal and to not worry about anything unless I have pain. Now I know ovarian cysts are normal and that when you have your menstral cycle it washes them out, so I am not so much worried about having them, I am more concerned about the Doctor being an idiot... There has to be some kind of reason that I have not started my period. I have been peeing more often it seems and I am constantly bloated. I'm worried there is more going on.
Avatar f tn Hi Everyone, I just wanted to know the experience of others. I had a laparoscopy done yesterday where a large cyst was removed from inside each ovary. The surgeon also found multiple smaller cysts in right ovary. The surgeon informed me that he has sent the cysts for a biopsy and said ' lets hope it is not cancer'. My mother died of ovarian cancer at 42 so naturally they are more concerned.
Avatar f tn Your doctor is doing all the routine test associated with ovarian cyst. Women of any age can and do get cysts, and cysts are not uncommon even if your post-menopausal. Ovarian cysts are 95% benign, so let that be of some relief to you. A Ca-125 can have false positives in pre-menopausal women from conditions like endometriosis and fibroids, ect. For women that are post-menopausal it can be somewhat more accurate, but there are women that have had negative results that have had malignancies.
Avatar f tn My concern is not to have future formation of cysts. Is there a diet, specific food that I should promote and others avoid to be proactive? And, is there a way to eliminate those nasty post-op gases?
Avatar m tn Green tea and green tea supplements have become very popular in the last few years and have been touted as a panacea for many illnesses. While drinking green tea may be beneficial, there is less evidence to support the use of green tea extract, which is often marketed and used for weight loss. While there is some evidence to support this, there may be some risk. In a Clinical Observation published in The Annals of Internal Medicine (2006; 144: 68-69), Dr.

I do not know much about POF. I would think eggs could still be harvested and implanted using IVF by a fertility specialist, but I just do not know.

Avatar f tn I was recently diagnosed with 2 ovarian cysts. One measuring 2.9cm and the other one just starting to grow beside it. My doctor wants to wait and see... My next appointment is not until august. I get random bouts of nausea throughout the day and need help looking for a way to remedy that. I have pills the doctor has given me for the dizziness I experience. Does anyone know of any herbal remedies or vitamins that could help and I could use for my nausea.

Avatar f tn I think you are describing an ovarian cyst "bursting". I had my first ovarian cyst (right ovary) when i was 13 years old. I collapsed in the hallway and my dad had to carry me into the car and was wheeled in the hospital. The doctors told me it was painful until the cyst "bursts". I was throwing up, but I was told that wasn't a normal symptom. Once it "burst" I felt completely fine. I've been on birth control to prevent having ovarian cysts.
Avatar f tn I actually heard that green tea is not a great idea. I TTC for 8 months before resorting to IVF and drastically tried to cut down my caffiene intake during that time. I was advised by my acupuncturist to drink black or red tea only and not that much of it. Honestly though I don't think any of this makes a huge difference. I tried everything and nothing worked for me, I am a healthy 31 year old who was eventually diagnosed with 'unexplained infertility'.

Avatar m tn I have read recently that green tea is not good during pregnancy because it blocks folic acid. I am 16 weeks pregnant and have been having a cup every morning. I had no idea about this until now, Should I be concerned about spine bifida?
Avatar f tn Any tea that is decaf is okay. Black tea has the highest caffeine and green tea is middle, while herbal is least. Also, as long as you are drinking a lot of water in addition to caffeine, you are fine. But anything decaf is perfectly fine.
1495281 tn?1305307348 A bazillion Chinese and Japanese have been drinking it for centuries, so it must be good! There is no evidence to suggest it is harmful to thyroid. If anything it is a great calming drink, helps with feeling full after a meal, hence why the Asians use it after a meal, not many fat Asians till they get on a western diet! So drink up! It's all good!
Avatar f tn Green tea is suposed to have wonderful health benefits. But you definitely don't want a tea with caffeine in it. My LLMD said no caffeine with Lyme. Be sure to take Vitamin D and C. Both are necessary for good immune function, which you really need right now.
