Avatar f tn Based on the description of your symptoms, IMO, you should read up more on gluten sensitivity and consider testing.
Avatar f tn I have numerous health issues and most of them seem to stem from a sensitivity to gluten. When I went on a gluten free diet, I noticed a difference in energy, and I had less pain. I had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but eating gluten free and taking thyroid horomone has basically enabled me to be rid of almost all symptoms of fibro. I hope this helps. Take Care.
Avatar f tn I am having extreme bloating as if pregnant, sensitivity right above belly button, under rib cage (spleen), left bottom, and sometimes pelvic pain, heavy bleeding the first few days of period, bladder burns sometimes, and general fatigue. When this first started I noticed swelling also on spleen which I could feel it gurgling when I applied pressure to it or gently massaged it. That symptom seems to have gone for now.
Avatar f tn Have you been checked for gluten or lactose intolerance? Also, ovarian cysts can cause these type of symptoms. A transvaginal ultrasound is best for diagnosing them.
Avatar m tn This has decreased some, since I have been trying to do gluten free and dairy free. I had blood tests run for numerous things, and the Gyn also ran some tests to see if possible Ovarian cancer. All the tests came back fine. They think that it may be perimenopausal? does this sound possible. I am 39. My mother had a full hysterectomey in her early 40's, so they said that it would be hard to tell by my mother. I am always worried that maybe it could still be OC.
12220546 tn?1424111721 Hi I wonder if someone can reassure me, I've had lots of ovarian cysts and endometriosis removed over the years...at the moment I'm battling with leg pains and ovarian pain and bloating from ovulation to the onset of menstruation...ive had a barrage of tests including colonoscopy, endoscopy, CT scans, transport vaginally ultrasounds and xrays and also had a ca125 test because I was really worried about ovarian cancer....
Avatar f tn Hi BB I'm actually experiencing the same symptoms and in my case it's because of ovarian cysts, everybody is different n has different pain levels but it could be just that or a cyst could have ruptured ~ my suggestion is to get into see your gynocologist and they will take it from there.
1294482 tn?1354489288 I had cysts 2.6 and 2.5 on each ovary and it just made me feel a little crampy and achey. I wasnt crying in pain. It took about 6-8 weeks for those to resolve on their own. Later I had a much larger around 4.5 and it was stubborn, I had surgery for that one.(we were TTC so had it removed) Even it wasnt terribly painful. I just felt achey, menstral cramps were worse than the cyst pain.
Avatar f tn I know you are scared. A woman unless she has a family history of ovarian cancer or the BRCA mutation only has a 1.4% of ovarian cancer. Benign cysts can cause the same problems. Try not to worry until the doctors are sure. It is common to not be able to see an ovary. Gluten can cause bloating if your body does not tolerate it.
Avatar f tn If you think there may be a connection betwen your thyroid condition and gluten it cannot hurt to remove gluten and see how you feel. Perhaps consider lab tests like Bertamay has had done to determine food sensitivities. There are plenty of people that have food sensitivities who are not diagnosed with auto-immune thyroid disease. I read many comments on this blog that I find curious, but I take from it what seems to fit my situation. I've learned a great deal here.
Avatar f tn I am sorry to hear you have PCOS. Are the cysts painful? Have you tried birth control pills to regulate your cycle and maybe control the cysts?
2102085 tn?1350866645 Have you tried changing your diet? try a gluten free diet for a week and see how you feel. more fruits and vegies, lean proteins and walk everyday, take out white, processed foods. You could also have stress and it is effecting you through your stomach, (are you a capricorn?) hope you feel better!
Avatar m tn If both of those are negative, then your doctor may recommend a gluten elimination diet. If symptoms improve on a gluten-free diet, then you likely have non-celiac gluten sensitivity." - Beyond Celiac: Gluten Sensitivity Testing. *** "High-risk associations that should prompt testing for coeliac disease: • Family history of coeliac disease (10-20% risk) • Autoimmune thyroid disease • Type 1 diabetes • Other autoimmune disease e.g.

Avatar f tn ©2010 American Academy of Neurology “Gluten sensitivity is a systemic autoimmune (allergic) disease triggered by the ingestion of gluten in genetically susceptible individuals. Neurologic dysfunction can be the presenting feature even in the absence of an enteropathy (gastrointestinal disease and symptoms) .
Avatar f tn My gyne confirmed that the condition I have is mucinous ovarian cysts. He is awaiting my pathology and operative reports from 1997 to determine his next move. I'm really not sure why that is holding him from going through the surgery, but that is the direction he would like to take. Also, I had another pelvic ultrasound/transvaginal ultrasound and the report came back that the cyst has decreased in size from 2.3cm to 2.0cm. His concern is the high elevation of the CA 19-9 report.
973741 tn?1342342773 I went to a alternative doctor, who did a bloodtest and it came back that I was Gluten intolerant. I think, by eliminating gluten for a month or two and then re-introducing, you can tell if you have a big reaction or not. Is it's celiac disease I think you will even react to spores of gluten, so I would try that first. Does it really matter if it's coeliac disease or sensitivity?
Avatar f tn Wow I have this same problem I keep getting cysts on my ovaries arm and now i feel them in my stomach its like a joke 1 hysterectomy 3 laproscopics to remove ovarian cyst and now i am scheduled for another laproscopic to remove 3 cyts and an ovary.
Avatar n tn Since my gyno continues to tell me my gas, bloating, constant BMs and lower left-sided pelvic pain is NOT related to my ovarian cysts, she sent me to a gastroenterologist. I had a CT scan yesterday that only showed my IUD and "bilateral prominent ovaries". I briefly spoke with the GI doctor who said this could be due to my menstrual cycle. Since having the IUD, I have not had a period now in over a year. And he did say "prominent" meant "enlarged". So.....
Avatar f tn I'm gluten intolerant and my brother is celiac. I just have a few questions. The constipation is happening now that you are no longer eating gluten??? Or this is a symptom from before going GF?? Reason i ask is that I had constipation until about 3 months of being GF. My brother on the other hand had terrible bouts of diarrhea until going GF. Another thing for you to consider is the possibility that you might also be Casein intolerant.
Avatar m tn Two years, three different birth control pills and a horrible case of mellasma later, I was still throwing ovarian cysts and now had terrible dark patches on my face. I stopped the birth control pills and have not taken any for 2 years. I know I periodically get ovarian cysts as I can feel them when they get greater than 5 cm. which has been confirmed by ultrasound over the years. The left sided cyst will rupture, the right side will cyst then rupture. And this continues.
Avatar f tn been to the gastro doc once, told me pretty much it was nothing and to come off of my protonix and it should get better. well did that for a while and it didn't help. i am now awaiting an appt. to go back and see him. i also have an appt. soon to go see a general surgeon. i can not tell you the number of tests i have been thru in the past year and yet no one has come up with anything. it is getting real frustrating.
457721 tn?1256640798 There is a blood test to determine that. Its a sensitivity to gluten. Check it out and see cause you have alot of the symptoms you described and its more common in women. I know that one of my clients who has it has told me alot about it. If you google it or look it up here you may see that you have alot of the symptoms. Its doesn't account for the fever but your body can run a higher temp even just dealing with the gluten sensitivity. Best of luck!
753572 tn?1233868821 Other extraintestinal manifestations of celiac disease include osteopenic bone disease, tetany and rarely neurologic disorders. Gluten sensitivity can also manifest itself as a blistering, burning, itchy rash on the extensor surfaces of the body (dermatitis herpetiformis). Most of these individuals have intestinal biopsies characteristic of celiac disease regardless of gastrointestinal symptomatology.
