Avatar f tn Hi, Sorry, I don't know much about the "Mirena".. What does your Dr. say about the cysts? How were they found? You might check out the top right of this page "Health Pages" . It has a lot of information about Ovarian Cysts. Cysts are very common in younger women, but you must ask the Dr. about the IUD /Mirena. I truly have no idea about that.
Avatar f tn Either thing, probably. Dizziness was my first pregnancy signal, but since most pregnancy signals come from hormones and an ovarian cyst can play heck with your hormones, all you can really say for sure (absent a pregnancy test) is that you are feeling hormonal symptoms.

Avatar f tn .Hi I'm 32 and was diganosed with ovarian cysts years ago, my problem is I've been really sick for @ 2 yrs and recently went to ER because I was so sick I couldn't move, that's where they found a 5-6 cm cysts growing. I switched Dr. last year because it just seemed that she wanted to put me on pills that didn't produce periods. I havn't had a period in 2 yrs and my symptoms are horrible.
Avatar f tn Cysts are a normal part of the menstrual cycle and most go away on their own, no intervention needed, as yours did in 2012. You certainly don't want to undergo surgery unless it's necessary. Iron deficiency anemia is usually caused by heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding. Some women are more prone to becoming anemic than others. Eating iron rich foods and/or taking an iron supplement would be a good idea if your iron is indeed low.
Avatar f tn t know if this is a new and bigger cysts or the old cysts has gotten bigger. And as far as the possible tumor, while I was getting the last ultrasound done the radiologist was describing everything to me as she found it, however the gyn tells me that my left side is clearing up when I damn well know from seeing it myself that it wasn't the case.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am hoping that someone has had some experience with ovarian cysts and the use of birth control (nuva ring) to prevent ovulation. My doctor started me on the nuva ring in hopes that it would help with the pain from bilateral ovarian simple cysts that measure 5cm and 4.2 cm. If anyone has experience with this type of treatment please respond to the following questions. Does birth control help with the pain from ovarian cysts? Does using birth control help ressolve the existing cysts?
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts can be benign or malignant but the majority (over 90%) are benign. A lot depends on your age and what type of cyst it is - functional, dermoid, etc. Your doctor hopefully will let you know if there is anything to be concerned about. You can google "ovarian cysts" to get more information so you know what questions to ask at your appointment. Please let us know how it goes.
Avatar n tn What is the difference between ovarian cysts and ovarian cancer. I haven't had a period for 3 months now and I have a sharp pain in my lower right side, as well as back pain, especially in the mornings. once in a while i am off balance when walking. i am bloated, and a lot of times i don't have an appetite.
Avatar n tn Also be mindful of your diet, there is a link between insulin resistance and ovarian cysts. It is best to stay away from processed white flour products like bread and pasta, and the worst culprit is of course sugar.
Avatar f tn I suppose a high creatinine level could indirectly be related to ovarian cysts as ovarian cysts can aggravate hydronephrosis, which in turn elevated creatinine levels.
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts are very common and affect mainly women in their 30s and 40s. Women who are past menopause (ages 50-70) and have ovarian cysts have a higher risk of having ovarian cancer. The only way to diagnose ovarian cancer is looking at the cells under a microscope. There are tumour markers the doctors can test for called CA-125 and CA19-9 (both are blood tests) however numbers can be higher due to inflammation.
Avatar f tn 98% of ovarian cysts are non cancerous. It is rare to have cancerous cysts on both ovaries. If you do not have the BRCA mutation you have a 1.4% of ovarian cancer in a lifetime. You doctor is who you need to talk to. Write down questions to ask.
Avatar m tn Hello, The various possibilities which present with such pain in the lower left abdomen are Crohn’s disease, bowel obstruction, ovarian cysts and pelvic inflammatory disease, irritable bowel syndrome , kidney obstruction or pyelonephritis, psoas abscess and volvolus (twisting of the sigmoid part of the large bowel on itself). Investigations like ultrasound abdomen, CT abdomen and colonoscopy are required to confirm a diagnosis. your sister should get these investigations done.
Avatar f tn Do ovarian cysts cause extreme fatigue? I have for cysts. One of them is a complex cyst measuring 4cm. I have had them for at least a year and being treated with birth control. I get abdominal pain, back pain, pain on my thighs, bloating and nausea. However, what really affects my daily life is the fatigue. I am always very tired, I feel like everything aches and just want to sleep. I work but lack the energy to go through an entire day without feeling I need to sleep!
1408770 tn?1283213203 Cysts CAN actually stop periods completely, and some of ur symptoms can be caused by having cysts. However, ALL ur sypmtoms r related to pregnancy! I would say u were pregnant! But Im not a doctor, just a mum of 2 who has ovarian cysts! If u want a more informed decision I suggest posting ur question on the "PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome" there r lots of women who have had cysts for a lot longer than me and they give great advice.
Avatar f tn I had pain on my right side and went for an ultrasound and they told me I have a few small cysts on the right and one had ruptured, but they were more concerned because I had one on my left ovary that is 2.8cm. I think this may have been caused by me abruptly stopping the pill a few months ago. My husband had a vasectomy so I figured why keep taking the pill, I didn't realize how much is would mess up my system.
Avatar m tn I thought i was pregnant many times from the symptoms but it was an ovarian cyst cuz the egg has no were to go. Ovarian cysts are not dangerous and you do not need to do anything for them but you do need to fet checked to make sure you do not have a tubal!
Avatar f tn Unfortunately, I cannot comment on anything but the ovarian cysts. Cysts are very common and most resolve on their own. If yours are not large (over 7 cm or so) and you do not have a predisposition for / family history of ovarian cancer, then they can usually be monitored via periodic ultrasound.
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm 28, I was operated for an ovarian cyst on the the right side in Feb 2010. Since late April I'm having the same kind of pain again, ultrasound shows a couple of cysts on both ovaries. I have no pain on my left side though. Last Wednesday I the gyn told me that the cyst are not the cause of the pain. They tell me my pain is to high, but have had 4 doctors poking me in my abdomen for 2 days, now I do have a slide pain in my left side too.
Avatar f tn After multiple tests (ultrasound, ct scan and MRI) I was told I have complex ovarian cysts 5×4 cm on both ovaries and pancreatic cyst that is over 1cm . I have 2 questions. 1. Since I very much refuse and will be refusing contraceptives , how else naturally can I cure ovarian cysts? 2. Can acidic taste in my mouth with coating on my tongue and lower back pain be due to pancreatic cyst?
