I am 27 years old and just recently I was diagnosed of having bilateral ovarian cysts. It was detected when my doctor recommends for a whole abdominal ultrasound. I had sharp pain in the morning and was relieved with fart or poo. I may recur during the day but was persistent in two weeks. My doctor suspected for gastrointestinal problem since I also had gas problems. I was not relieved with the prescribed medicine thats why an ultrasound was done.

I'm 16 and have been getting ovarian cysts since I was 13. I was rushed to the E.R when they thought I had appendicitis, but it was a cyst. I get numerous cysts each month, most of them burst which cause a great deal of pain. Lately my bowels have been weird. There's a lot of rumbling in my stomach, and I can feel everything moving around. I go a lot, but its normal. I've been on the gassy side too. Yesterday my stomach was killing in my pelvic area, to the right of my left hip.

The pain, an ovarian cyst can provide. But the bleeding? I've had a lot of ovarian cysts in my day and never once did any of them bleed. Bleeding like a period (or a little less) sounds like a progesterone drop for whatever reason. If the op's natural hormone levels shifted slightly downward, that could have caused a not-enough-progesterone situation that has caused the bleeding.

More than 98%t of ovarian cysts are none cancer. Ovarian cysts in women are very common. Most resolve themselves with out surgery. If you can take something like Ibuprofen that can help with inflammation.

If they are large and they rupture, this could cause life threatening internal bleeding. Ovarian cysts could be the cause for yeast and bacterial vagisosis by weakening the immune system in it's effort to control your cysts. All woman get cysts and it's very important they we monitor them. Ruptured cysts cause scarring. These scars build up on the ovaries and make it even more likely that larger cysts will develop.

The discharge could have to do with the cysts. I have had the same scenario while dealing with my two, complex cysts. I have not started BC yet, but my gyno gave me Safyral to start during my next cycle. Everyone is right also- your body takes time to adjust to the pills. A good three months to fully adjust is usually normal. Did you start the pills on the Sunday of your cycle or did you start right away? That could affect your body adjusting also..

I went to my GYNO and they seemed unconcerned about my story, but they did make me get an abdominal ultrasound which did show me to have 2 ovarian cysts both 2cm in diameter. They said to watch and wait. I still have slimey discharge without blood now, but it has yellow/cloudy stuff mixed in. It doesn't smell foul, but almost sweet/salty? I also have no pain. Sometimes lower back aches but thats it. Is this typical for ovarian cysts? Or could I have an infected cut inside me?

Did your doctor not follow up on this ultrasound? The odds are good you don't have it but you should have another transvaginal ultrasound to know your current status. The symptoms of ovarian cancer and cysts are very similar. In many cases they can't be sure until a cyst is removed and biopsied. Please don't ignore this.

I suffer from ovarian cysts myself but Ive never had any distinct discharge that I could associate with the cysts. I do oftentimes get this thick rubbery clear discharge (kind of like a sticky booger consistency sorry for the tmi) that comes after I ovulate. Either way I hope that helps!

I also have had this issue for months now, very heavy, clear, waterlike discharge. I have ovarian cysts as well and have come to the conclusion that's its the cyst fluid that is leaking. However, it happens to me at all diferent times during the month with no pattern. It comes in very heavy and soaks through my clothes and even through a tampon if I have one on. Very frustrating and unpredictable. I am not on birth control but was for many years.

i have had cat scans and ultra sounds but they just see my cysts, i had a colonoscapy a few yrs ago and that was normal. i also can not be physically active with my loved one any more because i have very bad pain mostly on my left side, i am only 19 and should be very healthy but i have very much pain.

I think you are describing an ovarian cyst "bursting". I had my first ovarian cyst (right ovary) when i was 13 years old. I collapsed in the hallway and my dad had to carry me into the car and was wheeled in the hospital. The doctors told me it was painful until the cyst "bursts". I was throwing up, but I was told that wasn't a normal symptom. Once it "burst" I felt completely fine. I've been on birth control to prevent having ovarian cysts.

t know much about Vagifem side effects but I do know about fibroid tumors and ovarian cysts. Was your pelvic pain on one side or the other? I know that ovarian cysts can cause bloating and back pain. By "TV" do you mean vaginal? What is your GP going to biopsy if they don't know what is in there? I had my uterus removed for several fibroid tumors and am now dealing with ovarian cysts. Pain from cysts is very normal even though it's constant. Your cysts may be twisting on your ovaries or one of them might have ruptured. If the pain becomes unbearable or you develop a fever, go to the ER and they will do an ultrasound to see how things are. Good luck, hope everything turns out okay.

m SO tender in there and most of the time the ultrasound is very uncomfortable. IF you think you have ovarian cysts just give your gyno a call, make an appointment to go in and have the ultrasound done. Hello, I am hoping that someone has had some experience with ovarian cysts and the use of birth control (nuva ring) to prevent ovulation. My doctor started me on the nuva ring in hopes that it would help with the pain from bilateral ovarian simple cysts that measure 5cm and 4.2 cm. If anyone has experience with this type of treatment please respond to the following questions. Does birth control help with the pain from ovarian cysts? Does using birth control help ressolve the existing cysts?

Is there a link between cervic cancer and ovarian cyst/cancer. Im asking this because i was told lately now that the doctor has discover a growth in my ovary after the operation of removing my womb last year. I was told that the problem was aslo affecting the ovary ,so the ovary was suppossed to be removed when they remove the womb. Is there a link between this ? If not what does all this mean.

Ovarian cysts can be benign or malignant but the majority (over 90%) are benign. A lot depends on your age and what type of cyst it is - functional, dermoid, etc. Your doctor hopefully will let you know if there is anything to be concerned about.
