Avatar n tn Vague but persistent gastrointestinal complaints such as gas, nausea, indigestion. Frequency and/or urgency of urination. Any unexplained change in bowel habits. Abnormal postmenopausal bleeding. Weight gain or loss. Abdominal swelling and/or pain; bloating and/or a feeling of fullness. Pain during intercourse. If vague symptoms persist longer than 4-6 weeks, insist on a thorough rectovaginal examination.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm not english so I'm sorry for my bad spelling.....
Avatar f tn Sorry for your troubles! If you do not have a family history of ovarian cancer, it is unlikely to be cancer since the average woman's lifetime risk is only 1.3%. Something is certainly going on since you have not had a period for 6 months. But some endocrine abnormalities (such as thyroid, pituitary, adrenal) can cause menstrual cycle irregularities. So can the metabolic disorder termed Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
Avatar f tn ve been having lower abdomen pain/pressure for a couple months and recently gotten worse. I went to the dr and because of my family history of ovarian cancer, my dr had me get an ultrasound. I went back on 7/1/2016 for the ultrasound results and she said everything looked normal (except for a small cyst on my left ovary, which was normal).
Avatar f tn Ovarian cancer may cause several signs and symptoms. Women are more likely to have symptoms if the disease has spread beyond the ovaries, but even early- stage ovarian cancer can cause them.
Avatar f tn Scared that i might have Ovarian Cancer, because of the symptoms that i am having. I have pain in my leg, it gets weak, pelvic pain, stomach pain around the right side.
Avatar f tn For the last 4 months I have had pain on the left side of my stomach down to my pelvic area, a nagging pain sometimes dull or sharp near and around the belly button, also consistant bloating that will not go away in a circle around the belly button. Had endometriosis removed, symptoms still came back I don't think it was the endo causing this. I don't know what to do anymore, I feel like my doctors gave up on me. Could it be ovarian cancer?
Avatar n tn Hello everyone. I am not by any means a hypochondriac, but lately I have been extremely nauseated. Extremely tired and it doesn't matter how small of a meal that I eat, my stomach blows up as if I had just eaten a full meal. I'm down to one meal a day because I have lost my appetite, yet my stomach looks as if I'm pregnant. I have severe pain in my pelvic area and terrible back pain.
Avatar m tn Although I am constantly bloated, I am not fatigued, or have any pains. In addition, no one in my family has cancer. Could one have ovarian cancer without pain or weight loss?
Avatar f tn There are different tumor types of ovarian cancer. Mine is mucinous ovarian cancer. It usual shows up in women in their ealy 40s to 50, most commonly. I am 47. I think average age is higher for other types of ovarian cancer. At your age ovarian cancer is extremely rare. My advice to you is just to take good care of yourself. Get your annual gyn exams and pap smears. They don't show ovarian cancer, but they are important. Don't worry so much. Just enjoy your precious life.
Avatar f tn and i was referred to another ob-gyne who ordered ca-125 that have a reading of 2,580 i have been told by my doc that i have ovarian cancer, she will refer me to a oncologist this coming january 3, 2012 yet, i can already feel pain in my lower back, do you have any idea at what stage my OVCA is now?
Avatar n tn These symptoms can mean many different things, with ovarian cancer or just ovarian cysts being some of them. You should get to your doctor and arrange for transvaginal ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound and perhaps a CT. If you think this might be cyst related do take a look at the health pages (top right) and look at the cyst types and symptoms. Hope you find your problem soon.
Avatar n tn My sister recently had a large cyst and ovary removed. 3 months later her stomach has grown and grown and it looks as if she is 9 months pregnant. Avatar f tn I was looking around at the IBS forum when I came across your post. I know it sounds alarming, but have you considered a CA-125 test for ovarian cancer? Ovarian cancer is known as the silent killer because the symptoms are not obvious till the cancer is advanced. And a lot of your symptoms sound a lot like ovarian cancer (but I am praying for a simple reason like IBS). My mum had ovarian cancer and she had similar symptoms described by you.
Avatar n tn I am now 63 years old and since April, off and on, I have had pain, feels like back labor. About three weeks ago, my stomach started getting bigger and bigger. Sounds weird I know, but I was wondering if you had suggestions on what it might be?

Avatar f tn Hi, Has anyone here with ovarian cancer had a situation where you get intense pain in the center of your chest that shoots up into the lymph nodes in your neck making them explode with pain upon eating certain foods, such as those high in carbs like pasta? I have experienced this several times and it's agonizing. I also have been having a feeling of pressure in my lower abdomen and this month's cycle never arrived. No, I am not pregnant, that is not even possible.
Avatar f tn I am not menopausal, I have had children, I have no history of cancer, I am not over 55 and I am pretty sure there is no history of ovarian cancer in my family.
Avatar f tn s as a guide to determine if you have the most common form of ovarian cancer, approximately 80% of all ovarian cancers are epitheal ovarian cancer which is cancer of the cells on the surface of your ovary. Please keep in mind that CA-125 can be elevated if your menstruating and some other cuases of inflamation.. There are other types of ovarian cancer that are hormone driven and depending which form a person has there will be excess symptoms of that specific hormone.
