I have always prefered an all natural approach to medicine but my pain has not responded to those options enough to stop taking the narcotic pain meds. I eat as naturally and organically as possible and follow an IC diet. I have SVT which interferes with alot of the options I've tried like Lupron and being able to consitantly use NSAIDS.
Avatar f tn I'm really anxious about taking medications for anxiety, but after having limited success with counseling, exercise, etc. only to be caught back up in another anxious cycle I'm giving an SSRI (Prozac) a try. After reading the VERY LENGTHY patient inserts from the pharmacy, I'm troubled by whether there are any 'unlisted' drug interactions or something like that that I'm missing. 1378024 tn?1278951800 I've had a UTI for about 2 weeks and it's slowly going away but last night I began to experience extreme dizziness and shaking and vomited a little. Has anyone else taken Prilosec OTC during TX, I don't want it to interfere with the TX.

408496 tn?1269603350 Thanks for the advice. I will definitely take your advice especially since I think they can be used with my FSA lol. And I've seen those hospital pads and they have no adhesive at all so your suggestion makes plenty of sense.
Avatar f tn NSAIDs are medications like aspirin, ibuprofen (Motrin), and naproxen (Aleve and Naprosyn). These medications help with certain kinds of pain, but cause great stress on your digestive system and liver. So, doses should be limited to advice on the label and these meds should always be taken with food. Acetaminophen is a different kind of drug that is milder on the stomach, but doses over 3g or 3000mg per day can be toxic to your liver. Again, follow the instructions on the bottle.
Avatar f tn You should discuss any and all medications including OTC meds you are considering taking with your hepatologist who is following you for your ESLD/cirrhosis.
Avatar f tn I'm 33 and prego for the 1st time. I'm 5 weeks along and so terrified of doing something wrong. I suffer from migraines several times a month, and normally take Excedrin Migraine daily. (Although stopped this week when I found out I was pregnant.) My hubby thinks I'm going over the edge because I refuse to drink the diet ginger ale we just stocked up on, but at least understands the no lunch meat thing.
