osteoarthritis

Avatar n tn I would like to reiterate that while I understand an MRI is a much more high quality image, no abnormalities were seen on any x-ray immediately subsequent trauma. Technique - Multiple pulse MRI sequences were performed in multiple planes through the cervical spine without administration of intravenous contrast. Findings - There is no evidence of acute fracture, subluxation, or dislocation. The vertebral body heights, intervertebral spaces and alignment of the spine are maintained.
1131208 tn?1260211546 Could the AVN be progressed to a point that bad enough to hurt that bad yet not be seen on x-ray? He mentioned that it may look like I have a labral tear on my x-ray...what is that and is it something to be treated because he mentioned it like it was nothing. I'm so frustrated. Thanks for listening!
Avatar m tn however I would arange to get an X-ray just to cheak for osteoarthritis.
Avatar m tn I also feel that this the right time to do an imaging study i.e. X-ray as much would depend on how does the x-ray looks. I think if you feel comfortable, then you should be doing weight bearing otherwise not. Keep me informed if you have any queries. Bye.
Avatar f tn My Dr ordered an X-ray on my neck because I was having burning and pain in my shoulder blade that was unbearable. The X-ray showed my spine was straight so they ordered an MRI witch showed Multilevel Inter vertebral Degenerative disc disease, Small annular fissures at C4-5 and C5-6, and my spine had mild straightening probley from muscle spasms. I was sent to a pain specialist who wanted to inject my muscles and give me sleeping pills pain pills and muscle relaxers.
Avatar n tn Since I did not get a straight answer from him regarding the tear, I figured that I would ask the local neurologist when I saw her in a few days. I then proceeded to ask him about the recent chest x-ray that had been done at his facility. Specifically, I asked about the incidental finding of "mild left convex thoracic scoliosis" and if any additional testing needed to be done. At the time, I did not know that the scoliosis, hip pain and bursitis could be related.
748543 tn?1463449675 However, when objective evaluation tools such as Electromyography to study the muscle condition, computerized jaw tracking to record and document functional abnormalities, x-rays and MRIs to study the structure are available and yet ignored, it is like saying " lets just do away with the EKG, just ask the patient if they have chest pain". Dentistry has traditionally been a profession guided largely by mechanical concept. It does not have to that way anymore.
Avatar n tn I hear rice cripsy noise while turning my neck or head. My x-ray report is normal. Does any one knows its diagnosis and treatment.
Avatar n tn thought it was best Put me on 100% flowing Oxygen and to wait over night and to do another X-ray in the morning to see if i was any better/ worse.. i hadn't changed so they kept me 1 more night. They Dr. Felt that i would get better, and that he released me 2 days from my Er visit. and Scheduled a Follow up Visit with him at his Office to make sure things weren't Getting worse. I hope this was of some help to the Select few that read this, with the same Conditions..
Avatar n tn My last set of x-ray looked good so I will see what he says about the stiffness at my one month appointment. To all of you thinking about disk replacement: I have had a good experience. I am happy with the results. However, there is not a lot of known information about the procedure. I have heard some "I just cannot answer that" and "nobody really knows that for sure" from my doctor (who I add is the most arrogant man I have ever met.
975514 tn?1325001538 I was 17 when I first was diagnosed with sciatica and it wasn't until I was 31 when my foot was completely numb that I was able to convince a doctor to take an X-Ray of my lower back, which started a domino effect of MRIs and testing. I learned that I have degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis in my spine, minor scoliosis and nerve damage- I even had a shoulder surgery on a bone spur because I kept getting tendinitis and the doctors couldn't cure my arm pain.
1216899 tn?1288573925 Multi-level degenerative disc disease (4 herniated discs, 3 bulging discs, osteoarthritis, 2 areas of moderate spinal stenosis) Bone scan findings: Severe osteoporosis in lumbar spine (T-score 3.8), osteoporosis in cervical spine (T-score 3.6), osteopenia in hip (T-score 2.5) Visual tests normal, including visual field test Ear tests normal although I've been accepted into the Rusk Institute vestibular balance program.
Avatar n tn He gave me muscle relaxers for the pain, but they don't work anymore.I am going in for an X-ray to see if anything shows up. My urine is almost always cloudy no matter how much water I drink.
551343 tn?1506834118 Hello Mrs A A forum where limbolanders can meet is long overdue, well done. My MS was discovered nearly ten years ago so that is what we consider my official diagnosis date. HOWEVER, we suffered through limbo because the neurologist I was with for years, whom I trusted, subscribed to the archaic notion that patients should not be told and didn't tell us. We have since discovered that this was a common scenario decades ago but, unbelievably, is still happening today and not just to us.
Avatar f tn ---------------The only thing that helps are ice packs. ----------------------- Recently,I had an x-ray to check if I had any nerve impingement in my cervical spine - one of the possible causes but nothing showed so I continue to search for answers. I did get confirmation of the brachioradial pruritus from a great dermatologist who has only seen 3 cases in his 15 years on the job. He did a biopsy that he sent to UC Davis for confirmation.
